Current situation summary.

And also it says not more than 10% of pot is missing, however that 10% was over 4 million and the coins that were taken out to sell for bitcoins were all also stollen. Total amount of bitcoins lost = 1200. Estimation $600,000. Also F guy scammed everyone and withdrew funds and they are basically sitting in other sites markets.

Statement regarding CryptoRush.

The past couple of weeks have resulted in quite the scandal surrounding CryptoRush. On top of the negligent loss of close to 1200 BTC, the owners of the site (and I am not referring to “Fyr”) actively endorsed the creation of “CryptoRushShares” knowing full well that their organisation was insolvent. At this point, negligence turned to fraud.

Yesterday, I personally approached the CryptoRush team to see if there could be any attempt at salvaging them. This came as a result of a number of members of the community approaching us and asking if we could help them. We would assume the liability, take over the operation (fold it down), and slowly repay people over time based on a % of our profits. We would be doing this solely to help the community, and prevent people from being (quite bluntly) screwed over. After finding out more information, I retracted the offer. I have learned that “Kristian” (apparently the sole owner) was aware that CRS was a complete and utter scam, and I have learned that he is endorsing the pump of a few coins that the “new owner” is involved in. At this stage, I am more than confident that there has been active harm caused to the community by these owners (not just “Fyr”).

When I pulled out, I went to the owner and pointed out that he needed to suspend trading, probably file for bankruptcy, and urgently seek the help of a lawyer. His response was to threaten to “finish me and my company” once he “regains his power”. So despite actively defrauding the community, he has every intention of regaining his power… and finishing me.

Today, I was invited out of the blue in to a Skype conversation with “Simec” and “Linkandzelda” (Kristian). I invited our Chief of Operations (Landon Merrill) as a witness to anything that may occur. Simec claimed to be representing Kristian, and that he was an associated with the firm Di Tanno ( http://www.ditanno.it ). When myself and Landon requested his name so we could verify this, he refused to provide it. Repeatedly.

He stated that if we did not immediately stop discussing CryptoRush, he would be making “our offshore management” public knowledge. See, there’s a slight problem… on top of the fact that I do not react well to being threatened, this is already public knowledge. Moopay LTD is based in the UK, moolah.io Inc is based in the US. We started out in Switzerland with a primarily remote team, and still have a mailing address in Switzerland that we use as a central location for mail (which is provided by Regus). Our management and shareholders are publicly disclosed and available from Companies House in the United Kingdom. moolah.io Inc is registered in the state of Wyoming, and is actively pursuing full FinCEN compliance (filing started prior to the 180 day grace period by a considerable margin). We have a full-time team of 11 (who are all known, and disclosed), and we’re moving our physical operation to Ireland where a number of the staff are going to be relocating to, in the next month or so. So… pray tell what magical knowledge you are trying to blackmail us with?

“so, you are pleased to stop using the word fraud, either in private or public statement”

“referng, but not liited, to twitter statement, facebook, other social media, and any other form of public and private communication”

“with the gentle request to stop contacting the formerly owner of the business known as cryptorush, either in private or public” (I had blocked the owner before this point, as I was sick of attempting to make sense of his statements.)

“that i have been hired for protect the interest, since now and the future of my costumer“

“I’m associate with the legal office “di tanno and associates”“

“now i understand when the privious owner contacted me, stating that you was the most inhumane person ever met, what he meant“

When we yet again requested evidence of his association with Di Tanno, and his name (as he was claiming to be legally representing CR as a solicitor)…

“Send me your ceritfied email, fax number and you will receive in 1 hour”

That’s the first time I’ve had a lawyer refuse to give me his name when he is claiming to represent somebody.

So at this stage, we’re being threatened by the current/previous/future (I am no longer sure) owners of CryptoRush, who on top of losing a large number of funds due to negligence, were actively involved in defrauding their customers by knowingly providing shares in an insolvent company. Apparently we (and myself personally) are finished once they regain their power. I’ll be quite honest, me and my team find this rather hilarious – though the fact that so many people have lost their coins as a result of this is extremely saddening.

I would like to appeal to the owners of other secure and compliant exchanges (Coinbase, Kraken, Vault of Satoshi, Coinmkt, etc), let’s stop this sort of thing happening. Let’s try to help the people affected, and let’s try to educate people so this doesn’t happen yet again.

And most of all, let’s not buckle to thin attempts at blackmail.

The cliff notes of the most recent pastebin are basically:

1.) They are still claiming that they will reimburse people who suffered losses.

2.) They are considering multiple options to replenish the BTC on the site and make it liquid again. Read the pastebin for more details, it's too much to explain in a brief summary. To be frank, none of their suggestions for replenishing the BTC sounded all that great to me. What they need is for an investor to plop down a large down payment of BTC and take a risk on the exchange. But, that wasn't yet mentioned as a solution as far as I know.

3.) For people who bought CryptoRushShares, they are claiming that you will have the option to be reimbursed for the price you paid for them if you want out, OR you can get additional shares (for free) based on the difference between the current CRS price and the price you bought them at.

4.) They are claiming that fyrstrikken took money off the exchange to invest in arbitrage, which is part of the reason for the lack of BTC on the site right now, but that he will 'hopefully' return it once he finishes his arbitrage.

Thankfully I don't have a balance there, but have any of you that do filed a police report or other law enforcement report?  Even the admins know the committed fraud....

Surely it can't be too difficult for a law enforcement agency to request logs from the web host, cloudfare, IRC servers, etc.  Unless these guys were all using TOR or anonymous VPN's the whole time, I am sure they left a trail somewhere leading back to themselves....

Personally I think it's long past time to start holding these exchanges more accountable....

Here's a link to the US Financial Fraud link.  I am sure there are others for other countries:
http://www.stopfraud.gov/report.html

No trail needed, I already have all their info (Name, phone numbers, addresses, the roles they played etc.).

It wasn't very hard to find. I was waiting on the "24-48 hour plan" as Deviantwo stated to make everything better and return balances. That was about 4-5 days ago when I helped uncover this mess (under a different name of course).

I know quite a few people that are missing alot of BC and BTC and if we do not get an answer soon, then I will be filing the fraud report myself and releasing all their information to everyone, and suggest they do the same thing.

Even with the new owners, the old owners are responsible for their fraud, and depending on the agreement and contract with the new owners, they both may be liable for all the money stolen.

I figured I would give them at least until April 1st to start making things right by returning funds and make public announcements. But so far, all I see is public announcements about how they are trying to stabilize their system and move everything to their new servers. Which NOBODY cares about until they receive their coin back! And depending on how they handle that, will depend if moving everything over to their new servers is even worth it because the way they are handling things now, the Crypto community has completely shuneed them and labeled them the black sheep that nobody wants to do business with (aka MT. Gox 2.0).

And the only reason why their trade volume is so high, is because everybody is trying to get out!

Did you read this: http://pastebin.com/mrqJQ9Kb

To me it sounds like the same garbage but as a poster in another thread claimed maybe I'm "too young" to understand  Grin

If that's the case, the least they could do, is informing people. This silence is not doing people's confidence in the site much good. There's a lot of people on Twitter asking CR what happened to the CRS pay-out and there hasn't been a single reply so far.

Generally I would agree with that, but if you look at anything that has been said by CR "officials" in this thread and elsewhere, it's probably a good thing they are not saying anything. They have not been able to come clean at multiple opportunities so far, what are the chances they would now? At least now in this silence we can have an illusion that they are working on fixing the mess Smiley

Well, in theory if they don't have BTC on the site right now and thus cannot send the dividend payment, in a few days or whenever they manage to get the BTC (which they have promised is coming) onto the site, they could retroactively pay the dividends owed to people. Or they could add it onto next week's payment. Completely disregarding it would be a bad move since the CRS selling is already coming under fire for having potentially been performed while the site was lacking funds.

On a slightly different note: did anyone holding CryptoRush shares receive their dividend pay out yet? I see the expecte divided has dropped to amount close to zero, but there's been no payment so far.

I asked them whether dividend payments to CryptoRushShare holders would continue or not (via Twitter) and so far haven't received a response. It will be interesting to see how they handle all the people who bought CRS and now aren't receiving dividends... Did anyone receive the dividend yesterday or whenever it usually gets paid?

I must admit I have little hope of actually seeing a dividend payout from them now. A few days ago, I also saw the dividend in my profile drop about 20-25% in a couple of hours. You'd think that those dividends could only increase and not decrease (as they are related to the fees, it would mean negative fees had been paid  Tongue). Unfortunately I didn't make screenshots then, but something odd is going on with those CRS dividends...

I did consider just getting rid of those shares by the way, but with every coin on CR overvalued, transferring other coins out of CR would only mean further losses  Undecided.

The "accounts" system in coin code is not serious, you cannot reasonably use it for real world applications it is a toy or worse than a toy.

You need to know how much coin you have total in your wallet and separately, using secure transaction-oriented database that can roll back and so on, or something like Open Transactions even maybe, track how many of those coins you owe to who.

Plus of course not keep in "hot" wallets any coins you owe to customers; keep only your own "can afford to lose it all" coins online, such as your profits from fees and your "float".
