Now there arose a great outcry of the people and of their wives against their Jewish brothers. For there were those who said, “With our sons and our daughters, we are many. So let us get grain, that we may eat and keep alive.” There were also those who said, “We are mortgaging our fields, our vineyards, and our houses to get grain because of the famine.” And there were those who said, “We have borrowed money for the king's tax on our fields and our vineyards. Now our flesh is as the flesh of our brothers, our children are as their children. Yet we are forcing our sons and our daughters to be slaves, and some of our daughters have already been enslaved, but it is not in our power to help it, for other men have our fields and our vineyards.”

He who walks blamelessly and does what is right and speaks truth in his heart; who does not slander with his tongue and does no evil to his neighbor, nor takes up a reproach against his friend; in whose eyes a vile person is despised, but who honors those who fear the Lord; who swears to his own hurt and does not change; who does not put out his money at interest and does not take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be moved.

Isaiah 53:1-12 ESV / 4 helpful votes

Who has believed what he has heard from us? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? For he grew up before him like a young plant, and like a root out of dry ground; he had no form or majesty that we should look at him, and no beauty that we should desire him. He was despised and rejected by men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his stripes we are healed.

Isaiah 10:1-34 ESV / 4 helpful votes

Woe to those who decree iniquitous decrees, and the writers who keep writing oppression, to turn aside the needy from justice and to rob the poor of my people of their right, that widows may be their spoil, and that they may make the fatherless their prey! What will you do on the day of punishment, in the ruin that will come from afar? To whom will you flee for help, and where will you leave your wealth? Nothing remains but to crouch among the prisoners or fall among the slain. For all this his anger has not turned away, and his hand is stretched out still. Ah, Assyria, the rod of my anger; the staff in their hands is my fury!

Psalm 112:5-6 ESV / 4 helpful votes

It is well with the man who deals generously and lends; who conducts his affairs with justice. For the righteous will never be moved; he will be remembered forever.

Isaiah 1:1-31 ESV / 3 helpful votes

The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah. Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth; for the Lord has spoken: “Children have I reared and brought up, but they have rebelled against me. The ox knows its owner, and the donkey its master's crib, but Israel does not know, my people do not understand.” Ah, sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, offspring of evildoers, children who deal corruptly! They have forsaken the Lord, they have despised the Holy One of Israel, they are utterly estranged. Why will you still be struck down? Why will you continue to rebel? The whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.

Deuteronomy 15:7-11 ESV / 3 helpful votes

“If among you, one of your brothers should become poor, in any of your towns within your land that the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart or shut your hand against your poor brother, but you shall open your hand to him and lend him sufficient for his need, whatever it may be. Take care lest there be an unworthy thought in your heart and you say, ‘The seventh year, the year of release is near,’ and your eye look grudgingly on your poor brother, and you give him nothing, and he cry to the Lord against you, and you be guilty of sin. You shall give to him freely, and your heart shall not be grudging when you give to him, because for this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in all that you undertake. For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you, ‘You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.’

Nehemiah 5:1-19 ESV / 1 helpful vote

Now there arose a great outcry of the people and of their wives against their Jewish brothers. For there were those who said, “With our sons and our daughters, we are many. So let us get grain, that we may eat and keep alive.” There were also those who said, “We are mortgaging our fields, our vineyards, and our houses to get grain because of the famine.” And there were those who said, “We have borrowed money for the king's tax on our fields and our vineyards. After seeing some posts on BCT last night about missing Potcoins on CR, I thought I would check my skype logs again. Uh oh.
I don't know the exact amount that was sold, but this was a converstion between LinkandZelda and I on the 24th. I was chatting him via mobile, and saw he sold some coins, but did not catch that it was 60 BTC worth of POT MZC and AUR.
I believe he did not keep them for himself, but rather put them into the exchange balance to keep some withdraws going through.

[3/24/2014 9:42:32 PM] *Link*: we sold about 150 BTC worth of shares last week

[3/24/2014 9:42:58 PM] *Link*: that brought in another 60 odd BTC
[3/24/2014 9:43:05 PM] *Link*: and even that much wasn't enough to sustain anything
[3/24/2014 9:43:31 PM] *Link*: I'm thinking more and more to pull some sort of statement
[3/24/2014 9:43:39 PM] *Link*: but our position is a lot tougher than that
[3/24/2014 9:43:43 PM] *Dogey*: cuz of fyr
[3/24/2014 9:43:49 PM] *Dogey*: and the supposed 500,000
[3/24/2014 9:43:50 PM] *Dogey*: well
[3/24/2014 9:43:52 PM] *Link*: yep
[3/24/2014 9:43:55 PM] *Dogey*: Heres what.
[3/24/2014 9:44:01 PM] *Link*: not just that, but the fact we opened CRS
[3/24/2014 9:44:15 PM] *Link*: making people invest in an insolvent company is really fraud
[3/24/2014 9:44:36 PM] *Link*: without announcing it before hand at least

A rare time this could be relevant but its said gold and silver are gods money and none other, holding dollars is practically sinful.  Look up usury, seriously.  If you could convince the bible belt how Nixons folly tainted their money, earnings even; maybe you'd get a whole load new people into crypto currency for their daily transactions.
As its non debt based and can be swapped for metals fairly easily as per various coin hybrids made.   In that view I'd favour BC as a solid coin vs more inflationary alternatives

I am not sure if holding dollars is sinful but it is usery which is for sure. Basically charging money to lend money is. The banks, credit card companies, pawn shops, loan sharks, money lending people, etc are all in sin as if you loan money, you are not to charge interest on it. Usury is in the bible folks.

Surely with all these people discussing religion the end must be near? Of this thread? Of Cryptorush?

Elisabeth should probably go to hell since she narc'd on her dad.

I'll leave it there and won't reply to this topic again.

He created us perfect.
Now we are imperfect

Do you not see a contradiction in what you are saying ? To be able to become imperfect suggests we were never perfect to begin with

We are made in his image so you best believe every emotion you have he has as well, minus our sinful hearts.

How convenient, much like the Old Testament (you know the part with all the cruelty) not applying to Christians

Christian logic is just cherry picking what they choose to suit their belief and ignoring everything in their precious book which contradicts what they believe

You do realise for Sin to exist, the creator must have created it

God created Sin

Offtopic, just wanted to throw some things out there. God is our creator. Why do people create things? They enjoy it, they want to marvel at what they created. God is our Father. What do fathers want from their children? Unconditional love and respect. God loves us because he created us. He created us simply to love him. He created us perfect. Satan fell from heaven because of pride. He wanted the glory. God created us with freewill so that when we love him it truly comes from us, and not just because he made us. Enter sin. Now we are imperfect, God is perfect. This causes a divide between God and his creation. Something must happen to bridge the gap, enter Jesus. Why did God allow Satan to tempt man? Satan has freewill as well. Angels are immortal, Satan is an angel. Why would God bother to create man if he was just going to force them to love him, he wants us to choose to love him. God knew this was going to happen. Why do bad things happen? Sin. Have you ever thought that maybe skipping the suffering part of life is not a good thing? God came down and joined us in our suffering so he must have thought it was pretty important. Show me another God from another faith that did that. People seem to think that God is all flowers and rainbows. God is a jealous, angry, happy, loving. just God. We are made in his image so you best believe every emotion you have he has as well, minus our sinful hearts. I did not believe in God until I read the Bible and tried to prove it wrong. So many Christians give a false representation of the Bible, I urge all of you to read it for yourself instead of forming opinions from what others say. Have we not learned to be cautious of what people say? This goes for Christians and non-Christians. Eternity is at stake either way, probably a good idea to at least look into it for yourself.

Seems to be the same kind of BS master as everyone else. "The login issues are okay".

Nothing anyone can do except wait and see if this guy is legit.  Maybe he is an early BTC adopter with deep pockets (or someone else with money) that is tired of seeing this kind of stuff happen, but had held off on spending the time to make an exchange?

That is wild speculation, but if he is successful in stepping in, and reimbursing the losses, then the cash has to be coming from somewhere.

Or, I could put on my tinfoil hat, and...maybe this is all a charade to win people's trust, and remove liability on the current owners.  Maybe Danny is one of them, and there was no theft at all.  The "hacking" was an inside job, and will be returned to great praise, and promises of increased security and professionalism.  Any publicity is good publicity (as long as the users are made whole).

I have lost no coins from this, (but I did on Coinmarket.io) so I'm just a spectator.  I hope it all works out in the end for those who did.
