Bitcoin: An Idea Worth Spending

It is
They are mining at full speed while you are waiting...
Sad but true

Although I have no reason to defend them, for the sake of credibility of this forum, Iosha, Do you have any proof that they actually mine with the machines their clientèle ordered? If not, let's stick to the facts. It's completely unnecessary to help them bring their business to the grave, looks like they're quite up to the task.

Hey AMT_ you chose to ignore us from day 1 of our cancellation and demand for refund, however the question remains:

Where's our money. I hope you did not use it to finance subsequent orders, for I think that constitutes a pyramid scheme, now doesn't it?

You have no proof that what AMT is doing constitutes a pyramid scheme, so let's stick to the facts.  Wink Wink Wink

To put this reply in perspective, the mortgages weren't taken out to start/finance AMT, but rather taken out quite recently to keep AMT afloat per Joshua Zipkin's own words.

So, they're bankrupt? They spent all the pre-order funds, and more, and still haven't produced the miners that were sold. That means they're selling every miner at a loss. Not a very good business plan.

I'm surprised they still have the money that'll pay for shipping out the miners, let alone employees that are not getting paid minimum wage, thus payroll has to be near $5K USD a week, not counting matching the social security that's required to be deducted and any health insurance premiums that may also need paying. Oh, I forgot that an accountant would have to be paid to keep track of all the myriad expenses come tax time in nine days.

Remember, AMT IS an American company, thus must play by American rules, one of which is that taxes are accessed, thus proper bookkeeping MUST be kept. Speaking of such, I wonder how AMT is planning on documenting the miner they kindly gave me on their tax report sans any receipts. Surely, it's a write off that'll lower their liability unless, of course, Joshua Zipkin doesn't plan on paying any taxes. Recall, he's on record in stating on how to avoid VAT and pay assemblers under the table. Remember Al Capone?

I have a feeling that Josh Zipkin of Haverford, PA, is NOT going to get this lucky:

The other point is that AMT have lost a ton of money because their stupidity and engineering   skills Grin The could made it at last three months ago and mine up to know.
They have lost a lot of mining income. But because they are greedy they will mine just a couple of monts before delivering the crap Grin
I am wandering how much time is needed for official scammer tag Grin Grin

@Casey
how is your miner doing? Hope it's still running smooth. Any chance of a video or screen shots any time soon?

@ISAWHIM
Did you and AMT ever come to an arrangement to have you go and help?

I''ve been quiet because AMT said they are shipping my miner next week. This miner better mine like the wind is all I have to say.I ordered the full miner and I am expecting one that has power supply, LCD etc. If it doesn't mine properly I will return it for cash or smash it for some bitcoin donations Smiley

Well Casey did get it to mine and it worked for him. He even got it to go after some help from the people here to work at 1.5THs which is supposed to be turbo really. As far as we know this is the first second real miner we have in the wild. Casey I believe because of what he has contributed to the forum in the past (mainly taking his time to go to check out AMT's facilities and video for those who don't know). I think its a fair assumption they will work based on the information out there. Mblackout also has a miner and has reported it to be working. So I'm inclined to expect the same.

I think all said and done despite the delays and initial communication issues they really are trying to do right by their customers now. Well at least in terms of shipping product. Can't speak for the refund crowd. Taking things as I see them here vs what they were a month ago.
1.5T for 5 modules 40 chips is impossible. If that is the Casy report consider it as a PURE lie
If 1.5T is reported for 6 modules 48 chips that is doable. The questions to ask AMT and Casey
1. AMT when yo gona deliver Grin
2. AMT when you gona stop with continuous lies Grin
3. Casey 1.5T result is from 5 or 6 modules
4 Casy if it is a six modules result can you tell how much power is drawn in/at the wall
5 Casy can you tell us how much you have spent for psu and cooling to make it work Grin
6 Amt are you going to ship 6 modules or any thing at all in near feature Grin

I think people are giving AMT a break because they have been a little more forthcoming as of late. That or they feel that everything there is to say has been gone over so many times that now it just feels like were talking to CLennel's hand. Wink

AMT
just because people are being nicer is no reason to go silent on us again. How about an update.

What is the status on the 6 board back plane?
What is the ETA on power supplies?
Do you have a plan on how you are going to deal with the MPP due to the further delays?

New back planes came in Friday, they'll setup and run on Monday, and we'll need a day or so to configure the new addresses of the i2cbus/trim pot etc. See images below.

Power supplies are due to come in next Tuesday/Wedsnday, and all shipments that have not shipped by then will include power supplies.

A few kits were sent out on thursday and friday, a lot more to go out next week, over 30+.

No plan regarding the MPP as of yet. But the back plane allows for possibilities as you can see. Its breakable after slot 5, 6, 7 and 8.

Thanks for the update.
Here's to hoping everything goes as planned this time.

MPP..... lol.   the plan is to completely ignore it.  That's what they've done so far.  why change now?

To be fair to AMT and Joshua Zipkin, they did address the MPP issue, and the answer was there won't be any MPP.

If you have been keeping up, you should easily recall that Josh stated that he and one the partners of AMT, namely, Jim Brown, both mortgaged their homes to JUST bring AMT to this stage, i.e. get all the miners ordered to date out da door.

Question: Sales of what, thus profit from sales of what, will be used to produce said MPP?

Best Answer: The third principal, Alex Singer, will mortgage his home to build the MPP units.

Bruno your crazy, and need clinical help.
please include lols rofls or smileys when saying such things. as this looks like you truly think he needs sectioning.

Don't tell me you actually believe they took out mortgages just for these products.

Yes, we were that excited.

Also, in case Josh opts not to sign for it, or nobody's in the office, this http://www.chimicles.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/AMT-Bitcoin-Complaint-for-CT-website.pdf

Did mine make it to the Fedex facility today like Jim said it might? Or will it be monday? If it got there I'd like my tracking number. If it didn't I'd love the power supply I paid for. Hell I'd like the power supply either way. That could be sent afterward if necessary. The whole point of the kit option was due to delayed power supply so we could get it timely and we didn't need the case. I still don't need the case though.
