In Italy, for example, there has been a significant increase in online gaming accounts during the pandemic period. The numbers record up to 200% more users for online slots and almost 3,500% more for online poker accounts. This means that the first lockdown period has accelerated the progressive shift of gaming to online, so much so that it is assumed that the related market is worth 40% of total revenue.
On the other hand, the period following the lockdown in March and April 2020 had shown a general increase in signs of unease in various forms. Among these in particular were conflicts and family violence. At the same time, there was an increase in requests for counseling from family members of those dependent on gambling.
I guess other countries have experienced similar online gambling growth alongside the same problems.

You're right our country have experienced similar online gambling growth. According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in the Philippines, 75 percent of respondents stated playing online games as of March 2020. The majority of the respondents were highly engaged in online gaming, while only 24 percent weren't. It means last year when pandemic start (first lockdown period) a lot of people use their time in playing online games while staying at home.
It has happened and it is happening everywhere and, in a way, it is inevitable that is happening. It was not easy to be locked down, unable to go out and those who already had serious addictions found themselves very vulnerable to create a huge online gambling one. I know a guy who gambled away €25k in less than two months from march to april playing poker.....
This current situation we are in did really spark out even more when it comes to online things that we can possibly get involved since we do have the free time and the access which even kids or minors
would able to do so.

When it comes to numbers then it cant really be denied that theres really an increase to that but when the situation we are in would comes back to normal then those numbers will surely
decrease since people will go back into things that they had get used to before.

Its evident that online gambling business had boomed out on this pandemic situation because of this lock down situation or pandemic which do prohibits us those
gamblers to go outside physically.

The pandemic gives a chance for online gambling to grows and since the last year, I think the number of people who visit online gambling has increased. That can increase more this year since we are still in the pandemic. We do not know when it will over. Even if the vaccine is now available in many countries, that does not mean people can go out for free because they still need to be careful and it is better to stay at home for more. So that can make not just online gambling but the other business can grow because people tend to use online to communicate or do their works and playing gambling.

This is possible mate because there are no option to play in the last years pandemic issue, So people/gamblers plays via Online and the best option is Crypto gambling.
I wouldn't say that it is the best option since there are a lot of people that don't even know about crypto gambling but they are still gambling online. It's not crypto gambling that got more prominent but it's online gambling.

Crypto gambling has turned mainstream during the pandemic with most online casinos accepting crypto or have a way to facilitate crypto enthusiasts. I have been in the market for about 8 years and I can see the market thriving with almost infinite options now for gambling. I'd like for it to stay that way until the pandemic ends. Hopefully soon.

With the covid pandemic and most people are only at home they are finding ways to release their boredom. And some gambling games that are done outdoors like cockfighting also found a way to still continue their business despite this pandemic. Here in our country, online cockfighting is very popular now. It is done through a website and gamblers who are into this game should look for an agent that will allow them to bet on these websites. Cashouts are also processed by those agents and some commission goes to them which gave them to earn some money also during these hard times.

Online gambling is really very popular because everyone can play it at home as they wish. Also if you want to play in crypto online casinos you can be sure that your personal information will remain as private as possible since cryptocurrencies use universal blockchain to transact this means they remain completely anonymous which is not the case with land based and online gambling venues. Crypto casinos do not track the activities of their customers and allow their transactions without any interference from regulators or any other government agency.

You are right that in 2021 online gambling is indeed experiencing an increase in popularity, technology today is one of the reasons people want to bet online, in fact there are many other factors people want to be directly involved in playing online gambling.

One of them may be a factor:
• can play online at home, while gambling addicts have laptops and Android phones where people can deposit and play online.
• After all, nowadays there are many gambling sites that offer a variety of conveniences for addicts quickly and online.

And many other factors in this century as a whole online gambling is very popular both among young people and beyond.

Online gambling became a trend because since last there were a lot of us have been locked down in our homes. But look at that chart, when it has flattened it's because the restrictions have gone lower and everyone is starting to go back to their old lives at least for those countries that have beaten or almost beaten covid 19.
Thats true it didnt last long, its either some countries already beaten the virus or people are tempting to play because of financial problem wherein during that time most of us can only think of spending our money for essential things, rich people are exception to this. But no doubt online gambling became an alternative to gamblers who often go to physical casinos (and even not) to satisfy themselves. I think even everything turn back to normal, online casinos will remain popular because of the convenience of playing anywhere using our gadgets.

Additional input about this statement, During the start of the pandemic, People still have funds from there savings/emergency funds that's why the graph shows many people play online gambling at initial phase of pandemic. Eventually, People starting to experience lack of funds due to low income incoming from there salary and finding job amidst pandemic was very hard that's why the graph already shows a pullback on numbers of searches since people already redirected there priorities instead of gambling.

From the last year, we experience having pandemic. Most of us right now would like to play in real-life gambling, but most of them right now are temporary close. Still, with the use of the alternative of online gambling, some of us give satisfactions to ourselves to play gambling. Still, like real-life gambling, we exchange our money for a chip. We use the chips of their platform with the equivalent value of a stable value like usd. These stats came from the google trend because of my curiosity about how online gambling becomes more popular due to this pandemic.

Within the part of July, this is the part that covid spreading and base on their trend, this becomes part of most search because the gamblers would like to find a way to gamble.

After it becomes known the online gambling nowadays becomes popular and gather more up users to their platform.

I actually noticed this personally because those friend of mine that use to go in Live casino last year goes to my inbox and get interested about my gambling way when back years i encouraged them to try Crypto gambling but all they do is laugh at me  Grin

But last yeay, i return the favor to them and laugh after giving them the sites i use to play with crypto and also let them create a wallet and sell them Crypto coins for them to start playing lol.

So at least not they are continuously asking me about crypto and some of them had already invested here.

But what made me curious about the chart is that the rise was only short-lived. Why was it just like that, just a single spike? There was indeed fast growth but then it also quickly fell down to the normal level. And that went on until today. Was there something about crypto gambling which made a lot of newcomers left after becoming curious and even started to play with it? Why does the chart says that the rise was not sustained at all?

We can only speculate unless somebody posted a survey why it is so, the surge at the height of the pandemic because the majority of workers are at home and some physical gamblers are playing here, but now that restrictions have ease up it's back to business for them, many countries have opened up casinos and recreations but the Crypto gambling industry is till doing great.

The spike happened very quickly around the middle of 2020, probably just a month long. The big rise was observed in July but was probably already started falling as soon as August came.

I am sure that at that time, the pandemic was still at its height and tight restrictions were still at place. There was no vaccine yet at that time. I don't think there was a significant easing up of business restrictions and the overall movement of people during that certain period when the spike happened.

It is still interesting to find out how did that shark fin-like spike came to be.

this is the impact of the number of people who are required to stay at home during this pandemic.  Online activities are certainly able to increase online business people, one of which is online gambling.  there are some people who just try to enter into online gambling to get rid of boredom and try to fill their activities.  maybe there are many factors why online gambling gets a lot of interest, some of them are due to the difficulty of making money so they decide to gamble in order to be able to multiply the money they have.  although this method is wrong, but many people apply gambling as an alternative to earn income in this difficult time

It is certain that the trigger for online gambling to become popular is due to a pandemic situation which requires people to spend time at home.
So the entertainment that we can get is online activities, and one of them is playing online gambling. Besides being able to provide entertainment,
some people still think playing gambling can be a source of income. Which of these thoughts is wrong, because if we do research properly,
the percentage of people who experience losses when playing gambling is much greater. So my advice is not to make online gambling a source of
income, because we will run out of money if we play online gambling too often.

Some of gamblers are playing machines so those people would certainly try to find an online gambling site, to poker, any card games or a casino roulette player online gambling might feel a bit odd but if you really like gambling you would try it at least, most of these card or roulette players might feel the odds are different from online since gambling sites are programmed but once they win they will find it still amusing.

The covid really affects casinos directly and benefits online gambling but most gambling sites right now are owned by casino owner at least the famous once, there is even jobs for agents and admins for casino and vacant jobs are always good for economy.

Yes, entertainment, work and learning in virtual reality is the main trend of our time.

This also applies to gambling.  In my opinion, the situation will not change after the end of the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic.  By then, most offline casinos will have gone bankrupt.  In terms of popularizing cryptocurrencies, this is good news.

However, I love offline casinos.  There's a tuxedo on a hanger in my wardrobe.  I bought it specifically for going to the casino.  However, it now worries me that my tuxedo will go bad before I can put it on.

Because offline casinos are closed in many countries around the world.

That peak also called my attention. Of course a kind of hype was created on July 2020, but just lasted shortly. I believe it could have been due to a heavy advertisement marketing strategy of some casinos that made so many people interested in online gambling at same time. However, as we can see only bitcoin and crypto gambling searching terms kept rising during the following months.
Probably people started looking for online gambling and ended discovering crypto gambling more attractive after all, as all these searching terms are related, but bitcoin/crypto gambling is a kind of evolution compared to the first one.

There's only one spike because all countries are included, not all countries follow the same trend, in some countries it could go up but there's also others where it's not rising up at all since it's banned by their government so for the most part the interest evens out. I'm more curious on what event made it spiked like that since you rarely see it happen.
