Companies know exactly what they're doing and they're reaping the rewards of letting underage people gamble, though they should soon face the legal consequences.

Stick with that view because gambling is really not good especially if you can’t afford it. A lots of disadvantages and negative effects compare to positive, some may win but most gamblers lose big money in gambling. Don’t be like your friend, i saw you different don’t gamble at all.

Yeah and not all who play gambling are addicts or addicted . me and wife play gambling , i play online gambling using crypto and my wife play offline gambling near on our place but we are not addicted because we only allocate few hours to play and we dont play everyday . the good part is we are not playing for profit . we are only playing to enjoy our selves . not all gamblers are degenerate's , few of them maybe .

Who are you to stop them from gambling? You can't judge someone and call them "degenerates" just because they gamble. They can afford to lose the money, then let them gamble and enjoy. It's a form of entertainment for them. Well everyone of us has a different perspective way on gambling, I personally like to gamble when I arrived at home after whole day work it just likes to relieve my stress. We know that we can't defeat the banker of the site, but if your purpose is to entertain so why not.

Everyone has different perspective toward an issues, depending on who you talk to. Gambling indeed will give a negative impact on everyone, especially in young children. They won't think of many things to start gambling and they won't see any conditions what they are feeling to gamble, they will do whatever they want and this is a cos gambling will give a negative impact on them.

However, you will not be easy to change their mindset towards gambling and it looks like you live in a place where gambling is a normal thing to do or even maybe your government gives freedom to gambling places to allow your children to gamble.

The title is a bit too simplistic and requires nuance.

If somebody gambles with extra money they have to spare, and isn't harming their own financial health or their family's, they can do whatever they damn well please. If somebody makes a hundred grand a year and wastes a hundred dollars a day on a dice site with crap odds, while still taking care of their finances, who cares? They probably don't care if anonymous people call them a "degenerate."

Its a topic really only worthy of judgment if they do things like gamble their rent money. Otherwise its a far healthier vice than alcohol, hard drugs, or cigarettes.

It depends upon who is playing gambling and how strong minded he is. If a mature person is playing gambling he will not be addicted to gambling very easily as he has a mature mind to know what is good or bad. If a children is involved in gambling then they wont even know when they are addicted to gambling and they will not be able to manage their time and money well .

Indeed, there are people who, after knowing gambling and becomes addict, changed their way of life. They place gambling above anything else and even forget other important things that should be maintained, such as daily job. Yes, maybe a case like that happens a lot but not everyone will fall into that situation. There are still many gamblers who able to maintain their daily lives and not be affected by the adverse effects of gambling they do.

There's nothing wrong with trying to win some money, especially if the very process is enjoyable. Isn't that the same thing as treasure hunting when people invest their money in some equipment in hopes of finding something valuable? They mostly fail, by the way, and yet treasure hunting is not that frowned upon as gambling. And do you know why? That is because treasure hunting is not that popular as gambling, that's it. I bet there is the same percentage(around 3%) of treasure hunters who ruined their own lives, and perhaps, the lives of those close to them through their activities, as that for gamblers. And there are other similar pursuits too, and stock trading is one of them imo.

So, don't be so harsh on gambling. It's just one of those hobbies that can be very dangerous when abused.

Are these people degenerates? I don't think so, they're people who have a problem. I wouldn't call an addict a degenerate.

They're people like you and me, who simply got addicted to gambling. Shaming them doesn't help anyone, your choice of words makes them seems as though they're less than human.
A little bit of compassion goes a long way and as long as society views people with an addiction as weak or degenerate, the more difficult it becomes for these people to seek the help that they so desperately need.

May I also add that while you say these people are degenerates, you're also helping perpetuate that behavior by promoting a gambling website in your signature.
