Code:
PhoenixMiner.exe -amd -eres 0 -mi 12 -dcoin blake2s -pool us-east.ethash-hub.miningpoolhub.com:20535 -wal ################.#### -pass x -proto 4 -dpool BLAKE2S.eu.nicehash.com:3361 -dwal #############.####### -dpass x -log 0 -wdog 0 -cdmport 4001 -gpus 2

This is Windows 10, mixed rig with AMD & NVIDIA cards installed, Amd driver version 3110.7 (OpenCL driver version: 20.7-10/20.11.1)

No matter what value I set for -SCI PM always goes into auto-tuning and never reports any Blake2s hash rate.

This issue seems to be related to the DAG epoch, because I was able to run the excat same command at lower epochs.

Dual mining on Nvidia still works.

Can anyone reproduce?

Posted earlier this week, same issue with my amd cards. I have not received any response yet. Happened as soon as the epoch changed to 385.

No an 8gb card wont help 4gb cards unless you replace all the 4gb cards with 8gb.
Try lolminer ..but honestly windows is about done as far as 4gb cards.  Linux has a few more weeks but it too will succumb.
If you are having issues with hiveos sounds like you got a card or cards with issues.  Watch you rig if you see a card slowing down or failing remove it and try without it..if the others work fine you may have a card issue...or riser issue...etc...

Any solution to rejects on the RTX 3000 series? Same config I used 2 weeks ago now gives rejects randomly. Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. I even lowered the OC quite a bunch but it still gives rejects randomly.

Nobody answer yet, and I suffered the same problem, and it's simple, reduce OC

I saw some people saying they can achieve +1500mhz on memory clock, but I don't think this overclock is sustainable for most cases, it will give a lot of rejects shares

I have a 3070 and when overclock to +1200 I get a lot of bad shares, but if I use 1149 it's the limit, I achieve 60Mhs with only 1% of bad shares

You can start at stock clocks and increase 50mhz each time until you see rejects

In my opinion miners are not well optmized yet to RTX 3XXX series, and within 1 or 2 updates of Phoenix we will probably can achieve more hashrate with more overclock, but for now just reduce OC

The rejects are random. They happen to me with +1200 or +1500 on the Mclock. This last night I haven't had a single reject using +1500, 64.8 mh/s on the 3070

But sometimes they happen out of nowhere, 1%+ reject percentage.

I agree with you the miners are not being able to handle the 30 series right now.

what exactly are you trying to achieve?
just lower the core & mem clocks and set voltage to 750mv or so
i'm trying to achive "light mining mode" as it could be done in Claymore by setting -ethi 0 to get 50-57% of gpu loading or -ethi 1 (80%+) so with this you can use remaining %of gpu for other tasks.

Hi gyus,

Any suggestion about the extremely low hashrate I get - around 9Mh/s per gpu.

The rig have 6 x RX570 8GB Sapphires.
I use Phoenix 5.4 and Win 10.

The question is that the rig was off since March last year and now when I switched it on, it makes no more than 54Mh/s for all 6 gpus. Previously it was doing around 168Mh/s with Claymore. All cards are with their original bios and are not modified.

I think you might be confused but ETH and ETC used to have the same algo

Nope, it's not about confusion. It's about accuracy and reputation of senior members of this forum. If Newbie asks what hashrate on Win 10 will be and Sr. Member responds with bullshit saying it's 24 Mh/s - that's a problem.  No confusion with ETC, same cards will give you 30+ as it get used to be if the question was about ETC.

Even if it was asked about linux, again, posting just number without proof or pointing to 3rd party testing results/sites is just chatter and worth nothing in this topic about particular miner if it was not really tested with current epoch and screenshot was not given at least.

Greetings.
Can i ask a question? if someone knows the answer ofc.
I need to mine with my 5700xt in "light" mode (as it was in claymore with setting "-ethi 0":50-55% gpu loading or "-ethi 1":80-85%)
and yeas, i know there're some settings in phoenix that should do this... but they can't.
with -gpow (any number) i'm getting (gpu loading) (core clock)
with -mi/-li the situation is almost the same - no stable mining. ()

Will be very thankful for any help.
no info about my question?

hi guys Smiley
sorry to bother you Sad

i am using phoenix miner 5.4c on win 10, with nvidia gtx 1060 6gb for eth

i want to ask some questions:

1) it says powlim wont work as i need to run it with administrator rights. I created my usual .bat shortcut, sent it to the desktop, and then give it administrator. when i do that, it says: phoenix miner is not recognized as a process. and when i remove administrator, it works, but without being able to do powlim. is there any fix to this? or how can i do it?

2) the usual
SETX GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
SETX GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
SETX GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
SETX GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
SETX GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

is used in claymore for amd, but not for nvidia. the same applies to phoenix miner? or do i need to use it on nvidia for phoenix?

thanks guys i hope you can help me Smiley

make sure you add full path to phoenixminer.exe to your bat file as admin console starts in System32  folder

When I said it confirms, it means that I had tested here and that image confirmed what I tested or you could say vice versa.

paste your OWN screenshot or never happened, lol   Grin

I think you might be confused but ETH and ETC used to have the same algo but right now ETC switched to a new algo with a lower DAG. The DAG is 2.5GB so any card with 3GB or higher can mine it. Since its <4GB you are mining ETC at full speed. With ETH the DAG is slightly over 4GB and the software is using some special way to get it to load somehow on your GPU, however the trade off is that you hash at a slower speed and it gets slower and slower after every new DAG.

With windows its much worse because it caches more stuff in your GDDR hence there is less room for any DAG especially if its over 4GB. Hence if you got tons of these 4GB GPUs you will really need to mine it on linux because you are missing out on alot of profits, especially since the consumption is mostly the same on both operating system.

Ideal method would be just to sell the GPU and upgrade to an 8GB model, however these days they are either sold out or overpriced. I've seen some 8GB variants of the RX series go for double the price of the 4GB.

is there a more clear guide on the -rmode ?  reboot  / restart

I used -rmode 2   and made a reboot.bat file  in the same directory shutdown /r /t 10 /f  for windows 10.

Do I have to use -Wdog  command as well?

I need to make sure if hash rate falls below certain level it restarts the rig , given it is not a network issue

Can anyone offer any advice on why the powlim might not be working on my RX 480 8GBs?

I'm using the following settings:

-amd -acm -powlim -20,-20 -mclock 2100,2100 -rxboost 75,75 -gt 54,54 -gpus 1,2

AMD driver version 20.12.1

Occasionally im getting crashes and the memclock gets stuck on 300 so i have to manually set it back in the radeon software too?

using the settings above i get around 28mh/s for 60w perr card (XFX RX 480 BE 8GB cards)
