Sporting managed to beat Casa Pia 3-1.
Looking at the result, it looks like it was easy, but it wasn't. Sporting was losing in the first half, and it was only after a few substitutions in the middle of the second half that they managed to turn the score around.

Indeed, Casa Pia has been playing very well and creating difficulties for big clubs.

Tomorrow we will have game between struggling Sporting and main surprise of season so far Casa Pia. Though, bookmakers are sceptical that Casa Pia are able to achieve something and Sporting win is rated at less than 1.30

It's hard to believe that Casa Pia beat Sporting. Because Sporting, despite the less positive phase they are going through, are always a great team. And Casa Pia is the team that just moved up from the first league. But it will undoubtedly be an interesting game to follow.

Benfica won the derby and now the difference between them is six points and that is too large . Porto will need to be on a streak so they can make up the difference. A loss at home is huge and that will cost them huge. Hopefully benfica starts losing so we can see an intresting turn of events.

Benfica is really making an extraordinary start to the season, and this victory only reinforces that. It wouldn't be the first time in the Portuguese league, that a team managed to recover 6 or 7 points and in the end win. Now it all depends on Benfica, to be able to keep up this good rhythm. Despite showing some signs of tiredness, he has managed to overcome his opponents. We'll see how the season continues.

Benfica won the Portuguese derby. I think Porto's eustaquio got a red card in the 27th minute, leaving his team down to 10 men. If Porto hadn't been down to 10 men so early, maybe they wouldn't have lost points at home. With this win Benfica increased their point difference with Porto. Benfica is now the only undefeated team in the league.

Don't know how about you guys, but I feel disappointed about O Clássico. Not because that I backed Porto and they lost. That red card in the middle of 1st half ruined game, game with equal squads would be much more interesting. Now Benfica controlled the game and got deserved win.

Tonight we have an important match for the course of the league. The priority for both teams will be not to lose the match, but porto will be ready to put all their efforts to win as they are the hosts. The match is really open to 3 outcomes, it's hard to decide but porto is one step ahead because it's at home. Benfica and porto are both teams that can score goals in European matches and have plenty of chances. This match could be a goalscoring affair or both teams could play cautiously.

Casa Pia played most of their matches against weak teams of the league this season, i don't really think hey can keep it up this way, they will have a lot of difficulties later on when fatigue gets to them and when they face bigger teams, we can't judge yet, we have to see what they do against bigger clubs like Braga, Sporting and Porto.

They already played against Benfica and lost 1-0. A game where Casa Pia created many difficulties for Benfica, who even had a player with a red card.
The next round will be against Sporting, we will see how Casa Pia will do. Will they take advantage of Sporting's bad moment, and even get a good result?

I hope Sporting bad moment ends exactly in this game.I am sorry to see such a big name not being able to fight for the title directly with their historical rivals like Benfica and Porto.Casa Pia sure looks strong and is near the top of the table but the fact that Sporting is playing at home should give them their home advantage,in front of their fans I doubt they will be making other errors,we are still early in the season so I think a win in their home field against a somewhat strong team during this season like Casa Pia would restore Sporting lost confidence.I believe the odds to be good for Sporting so worth betting on them during this weekend.

maybe because every year we are used to seeing benfica, porto, sporting and braga at the top of the table that until this moment seeing the casa pia one gets the feeling that they are only in that position temporarily, it's not something serious and for that reason people don't I attach great importance to the house sink. but we will see if they will be able to finish in this position, there are still many games left for the league to finish

Benfica was the strongest team in the League.Their game till now was good enough against the small team. The coaches of this team was very expensive in nature. This club will be the tough to many of the upcoming matches with no doubts.Next week the game of Benfica need to improved. The coaches should concentrate on the individual players for the good win.The final results of the Portuguese league was defend by Portuguese as a part of final, let see the second opponents of final.

Both teams looking very solid so far in Primeira and even in Champions league. 2 Benfica games with PSG tells a lot . Porto loss at home is extremely rare thing, but Brugge win 0:4 at Dragao shows that they're not unbeatable. Any way, I'm backing Porto and let's say it will be 3:1.
BTW, why nobody isn't giving credit to Casa Pia? Team got promoted to top division for the first time in their long history and now standing in 4th place. Question, how long it will continue...

Regarding Porto vs Benfica, in the next round, I still have some doubts about how this game will turn out. Porto usually play very strong games against Benfica, and historically they have had good results. But Benfica has shown an incredible attitude since the beginning of the season and they still haven't lost a game. Both teams will meet at the best moment they are. Honestly, I wasn't surprised when they drew. (Although I prefer Benfica to win.)  Cool

Casa Pia is really having an extraordinary period. They made life very difficult for Benfica, despite losing, and the other game they lost was against Vizela, which is not a very strong team. Despite being a team with a lot of history in Portuguese football, it is currently not considered a very stable and consistent team. And usually every season, there is a small team that usually makes excellent season starts. Let's see how long it can keep up with that excellent record. In the next round he will play with Sporting, so it will be another excellent test, to see their good performance and if they will keep the rhythm.

Offcourse that they're not going to fight for title and maybe they won't finish in UEFA cups zone. My point is that team out of nowhere with one of cheapest squads in league having very solid start of season. In long term I'm sceptical about their chances, but who knows, maybe they will repeat something similar what Roayle Union didvin Belgium last season, when team promoted from 2nd division almost won league.

Do you already have any guesses on how the final result of this game will be?

in past seasons benfica won games against small teams but when they were games against teams like porto and sporting they lost and after losing the worst nightmare happened, benfica was unbalanced to the point of starting to lose against small teams and then couldn't win league, it's been like that lately, the question now is whether or not this season they'll behave differently from past seasons. If Benfica manages to win in this game, they can certainly be champions, but if Benfica loses in this game against Porto, they won't be champions.

BTW, why nobody isn't giving credit to Casa Pia? Team got promoted to top division for the first time in their long history and now standing in 4th place. Question, how long it will continue...

This week, we don't have league matches, as matches for the Portuguese Cup are in progress.

Benfica was the first of the big clubs to enter the field, and ended up not having an easy game against a team from the third division. The coach spares several players, for the big game that will happen next week.

Let's say that next week Benfica will have their big challenge of the season, when going to the case of the biggest rival Porto.

Do you already have any guesses on how the final result of this game will be?

Yesterday the three great clubs of Portugal played and they all won:

Santa Clara 1-2 Sporting
Sporting dominated the first half, managing to take the lead. In the second half, Santa Clara was more aggressive and made life very difficult for the lions, who only managed to score a goal towards the end.

Benfica 4-2 Rio Ave
With 60,000 fans, they were at Estádio da Luz (the biggest stadium in Portugal) for Benfica to comfortably win. With this result, Benfica reinforces the leadership of the championship.

Portimonense 0-2 Porto
This was the 16th consecutive victory for FC Porto against Portimonense. That manages to stay in second position chasing their rival Benfica.

Undoubtedly, because Porto and Benfica will play in a difficult phase for Benfica. It will be the weekend after playing the second game with PSG and before returning to play with Juventus. What will happen in the within 2 weekends.
Benfica were in a big streak of winnings but it had to end at one point, with that draw they still first with 3 points ahead, it's not a bad look for them waht matters is the upcoming matches, and playing all those matches in a short period of time could affect them as you said, so the coach has to find when and who to play certain matches.

The next sequence of games will not be easy for Benfica. He will now play with PSG in the Champions League, then he has a game with Rio Ave, then he will play again with PSG. Then there's an important game for the championship, against Porto. And soon after he will play with Juventus. This month is going to be tough.

that was a pretty good guess, even handicap +1.5 could have been a good bet on Guimarães with good odds because of how favorite Benfica were in that match, i couldn't bet against Benfica, they seemed way good and better than Guimarães, but it seems like after 3 losses Guimarães picked up a good pace.

Guimarães is a club that is always difficult against Benfica, regardless of their form. Of course, most of the time Benfica wins, but it's not always easy, and sometimes there is a draw.

Benfica on this journey will face Vitoria de Guimarães, a team that is always complicated and that will certainly cause difficulties for Benfica.

My hunch was confirmed.
Benfica couldn't go beyond a 0-0 draw with Guimarães. It was the first game of the season that Benfica didn't score a goal, and also the first draw, after a series of victories.

With that draw they missed a golden chance to have moved forward at a better gap in points between them and Porto although seeing both teams I think Benfica is the main contender to the title.
