Price will never follow the oil price, price will be I believe super high , oil price was an indication, how can we trade a coin if the price is a fixed oil price unless they use the Petro like USDT....

An invasion of Venezuela is unlikely, almost impossible. Americans only invade and attack countries in desperate conditions, with extremely weak armies and easily corruptible leaderships. This is not the case of Venezuela. They are trying to starve Venezuela but they didn't break it, they make people suffer, they fabricated an extreme social conflict based on hatred, they generated a disastrous decline in the economy but it's not enough. Petro is safe, in that sense. But with the whole western world against it.

The truth is that blockchain technology is not neutral. The myth of decentralisation can be demystified with the case of Petro: we all can see and imagine the difficulties to find support and collaboration around the world for this project, and we know the reasons. Just google "Venezuela Petro" and see the news Google filters for you.

If Petro succeeds, the success will be worth 100x any other coin. Basically a coin with embedded leverage. Smiley

Apart from succeeding, El Petro needs to exist and keep up the price. Considering that it is backed by oil, Petro’s price might experience some fluctuations. And what do you even mean by “success”?

Yeah, right El Petro’s fate is deeply connected with maduro, however not only until and soon after the election, but during his potential presidency as a whole
U.S. dictatorship doesn't want a petrocoin, they banned petrocoin.
first cryptocurrency banned by the U.S. dictatorship.
if they retake the venezuelan government and pdvsa (venezuelan oil company), forget about petrocoin.
that's the american "democracy" and "liberty".

i think they are waiting for the next presidential elections (next sunday)

- if Maduro wins, petrocoin will continue and it will be released soon.

- if Maduro loses, petrocoin buyers are fucked because the U.S. dictatorship will shutdown the petrocoin.
well... the next president start the next year (2019), so... who knows what's going to happen.

Guys, do you still have 0 in you wallet ? I mean I know I have my petros but it kinda bothers me

Yes i do, but as someone commented it is not the final token: this is a pre-sale and ico version. Petros will likely be distributed once the ICO is closed.

True, what I don't understand is spoke to few people that believe that Petro arround +- $60 (oul price), me I have the feeling that if Maduro wins the election he will do everything possible for the Petro to reach a high price to make huge profit, come on no country can survive on a 6 billions dollars budget...

Doesn't it bother you that the Petro you invest in depends so much on international politics?
of course, but...
What does not depend on international politics?

for a investor, Petro is a very risky investment.
you could double or triple your investment
if they finally release it ¿who knows how much would cost a petro at the end of this year?
or you could lost all your investment.
right now it's a lottery.
As far as I see it, those cryptocurrencies that are not connected to governments are more secure in this way and truly decentralized.
Though about this, too. I don't know, even if Petro succeeds I have a feeling that it's dependence on other countries' approval will add to its volatility
