In my opinion, Liverpool is almost the same as last season, they are still a strong team because the attack process is almost the same as Klopp's game, only Slot has slightly improved the team's defense and that was Liverpool's weakness last season.

Since the beginning, Liverpool management has been looking for a replacement for Klopp whose playing style is as similar as possible to Klopp's game so that the transition of changing coaches is not too difficult for the game and so far Arne Slot has succeeded in coaching Liverpool.

What you said is true. It is still too early to say that Liverpool will be consistent until the end of the season considering the very tight match schedule this season. Fatigue and injury problems could affect Liverpool's performance. So to overcome this, Liverpool still needs 2-3 players in the midfield and back for squad depth. the performance of players like Ryan Gravenberch so far has certainly been a surprise and on the other hand it is something to be afraid of if later he is injured/accumulates cards, because there is no equivalent cover in the existing squad. So Arne Slot has to buy a few more players to back up the core players.

Liverpool is still good, no doubt, and even after changing their coach, they still keep their consistency. There is nothing different with the way they perform with the former coach; furthermore, let's see if they will be able to keep their consistency till the end of the season; they just start the season with good performances, so I’m expecting Liverpool to make things possible for themselves. I can’t choose Liverpool because my favourite club is there too, and I really want them to win the Champions this season.

Lastly, we should not give Liverpool higher chances of winning the title. The season just started; we have not gone anywhere. We should calm down for them to see what they will do.

Chelsea have decided to exclude star player Cole Palmer from the Conference League competition. The club would play about 80 games this season so Manager Enzo Maresca decided not to register Palmer to reduce his workload.
(...)

Pretty understandable move. Obviously, the Conference Cup is much less prestigious than the Champions League, or even the Europa League (and with a much smaller prize pool), so Chelsea will definitely want to prioritise league games over it, to do what they can to secure a spot in the Champions League next season.
And it's a good opportunity to let younger players, or players from the bench to earn experience and have more playing time.
Palmer, and other players not registered could still be added later on for the knock-out rounds, when squads can be re-submitted, so not a big deal.

It is too selfish to talk about the success of a manager or a team that has just entered the beginning of the season, although we are impressed by the current performance of Arne Slot and Liverpool but there is still a long way to go, there are situations where a team has many problems such as injuries, strategies are easily broken, there are team disputes and a lot of things that might appear on every trip.

Comparing today with Man City is fine, both are good if they continue to be consistent like that, but the storm in the morning can come, we will not know what tomorrow will be like, so the continuity of a team into the future.

Chelsea have decided to exclude star player Cole Palmer from the Conference League competition. The club would play about 80 games this season so Manager Enzo Maresca decided not to register Palmer to reduce his workload.

Ben Chilwel has been asked to leave, and he might be open to any offer from Turkey or other leagues that are still open for transfer. Players like  Cesare Casadei, Carney Chukwuemeka, and Marc Guiu were registered for the competition. Palmer can still be registered if Chelsea makes it to the knockout rounds.

When I first heard about it I got surprised but later I understood why. Indeed they are going to play too many games during this season. Considering how valuable Palmer is for Chelsea, Enzo Maresca must think of the best for him.  Smiley  Besides the Conference League isn't a priority for Chelsea as you know. The board expects success in the Premier League first. Because Chelsea are really craving for success here for years...

I also don't want to see the team I support in the PL in this situation. They need to give some reaction. They are called as one of the biggest teams of this league but can't meet the expectations every time.  Sad

I think what Enzo Maresca did was right because key players need to be rested. Besides, it's not the Champions League or the Europa League that has more prestige than the Conference League. Chelsea has spent quite a long time in the Premier League as just a sidekick in recent seasons, so if they want to get good results this season then they have to focus on what is their target, which means there have to be other competitions that are sacrificed. There's no guarantee it will work but that at least would provide more opportunities than chasing everything.

Tough decision as I think that despite being only the conference league, that competition is at least somewhat international and Palmer would have probably liked to play games in the final round. There are not the biggest names, but if there are titles to be won, then I guess any UEFA competition does make at least a small difference. Sure, the Conference League is far from the level that Palmer seeks to compete in, but excluding him so early from the competition altogether, I don't know if I'd be happy about that if I were him. Probably not.

-snip- Liverpool might contend for it but I am not sure they will win it. I rather have my expectation in Arsenal.
Just because Liverpool couldn't win the title with Klopp doesn't mean they can't win the title this season with Arne Slot. I don't think that's how we define the strength of a club. I remember when Di Matteo took over Chelsea and they won the UCL for the first time, CMIIW. Even though Chelsea had never won the UCL with their former coach before.
Many say that Liverpool is still the same as the previous season. But I think I've seen some variations in the attacks and tactics implemented by Arne Slot. And now they are getting positive results with 3 wins. I think Liverpool deserves to be one of the favorites to win. Although I also wouldn't put them at number one because I see City really dominating the EPL this season.
Doubts about Liverpool I think are reasonable because Arne Slot has only been their coach this season and from what has happened it has not proven that Arne Slot has succeeded in making Liverpool better, there will be a long journey that must be proven by Arne Slot and to add Liverpool to the list of favorites to win the title with Man City and Arsenal I think it is still not appropriate, it is still too early.
It must also be remembered that Liverpool's squad this season has not had many changes, Arne Slot continues what Klopp has built so far so I really doubt that they can consistently show their best performance like they did at the beginning of this season.

The latest update adds more names to the list. Wesley Fofana and Romeo Lavia will also be excluded from the Conference League squad. This is great for keeping all players fit and spreading minutes more evenly across the squad.

Chelsea can beat clubs like Astana and Servette without their main squad. This will reduce their risk of getting injury.

Having a very large number of players in his squad allows Enzo Maresca to rotate players as he wishes, but on the other hand of course he is very confused at the moment to give every player they have a fair chance to play, Palmer has so far done a good job and continues to be reliable in the Chelsea front line, But of course Maresca also has to rest him to face more important matches in the Premier League or when facing stronger teams, Chelsea managed to qualify for the Conference League league phase this season and so far the potential opponents they face in the Conference League are relatively weaker teams so it is important for Maresca to keep his key players for more important matches.

Currently the majority of the old players has been dumped by Chelsea, Raheem Sterling, Armando Broja, and Trevoh Chalobah have left for other teams at the moment, as well as Ben Chilwell who I think no longer has a place as Chelseamain left-back after Malo Gusto returned from his loan period, so far Malo Gusto has been a right-back player but it seems that in some of Chelsea pre-season games Enzo Maresca played him more as a left-back.
Sometimes feeling too overconfidence isn't that good because it would make a team be on laxity and take every other teams they will be facing as less important team, where we've seen clubs that no one expected to defeat a big a team win there game against the big because they were taken for granted. To me Cole Palmer should have been registered because he's the only savior that Chelsea got now for this season, his registration doesn't necessarily mean he will play in all the games but in case a match turn out to be a tough one, then he can come in as super sub.

Liverpool is truly convincing in the first three games of the Premier League as for Manchester City we know how strong they are, yet it is one of those rare cases where Liverpool starts in full power and is yet to concede a goal while crushing Manchester United at Old Trafford which is quite an achievement for them. Liverpool have suffered already in the previous seasons in the first few games of the Premier League and in the end those seasons did not end well as we know but right now they are having a great form and as I said it is not a coincidence because you simply cannot beat that easily 0-3 in their home a team like Manchester United which leads to me to my next question unanswered from months now, when is Ten Haag going to be sacked?
Jurgen Klopp can rest easy after his former side made a flying start to the season under their new manager. Initially, Arne Slot was considered to have difficulty handling Liverpool, but he managed to dismiss all negative assumptions with three consecutive wins. Liverpool performance when they beat Manchester United at Old Trafford was beyond expectations, they managed to destroy the home team's defense with a series of attacks.

Arne Slot played a big role in Liverpool improved performance, he managed to build the players' confidence and adapt very quickly to the tactics he implemented. This season's EPL will be even more exciting after Liverpool returned to the title hunt, Arsenal and Manchester City need to be vigilant against the surprises presented by Liverpool. I hope Chelsea can also follow Liverpool after bringing in several players in the transfer market, Enzo Maresca who started his duties with Chelsea must be able to follow in the footsteps of Arne Slot so that the EPL is even more competitive compared to the previous season.

Chelsea not doing great is not really a shock, they keep on getting players and at this point they are making a huge mistake. They have 40+ players on their list, that makes no sense and if they get rid of half of them, the money they can raise from that would be enough to purchase Mbappe and Haaland together, it makes no sense to spend this much money on mostly players that are not good.

Let's see how they will do, but when you consider the amount of money they spent, and then you look at their roster on a game day, and the eleven players they have look basically similar to whoever they are facing. When in reality they should be a lot better if they spend this much, and for the past two years or so they have been just getting whoever they want, that's a bad decision.
It is not surprising to everyone with Chelsea's performance in the last few seasons until now, they have been inconsistent and I agree with you about wasting money just for players they shouldn't buy, not only Chelsea, Man United is the same as Chelsea even though they are considered a rich club, spending that much money is not a big deal for them, but on the other hand they are not aware that this will end in their financial crisis in the future, if they continue to buy players who are not useful for the club's growth then a crisis will hit Chelsea, of course there must be a change in the problem of recruiting players in choosing players who are truly useful for the team and can bring change to Chelsea's game, I hope Chelsea is aware of this condition in every season experiencing a significant decline.

It is when the season has gone far maybe in the middle of it, that we would know if Liverpool has the strength like last season to be very close with Arsenal and Manchester city or not. ALOT of things are happening now that should not be used to judge a club's performance.

From the look of things, it is clear that Liverpool are in a high spirit of winning their matches but I don't think that Arne Slot will come from nowhere to win the league when City and Arsenal are there, if that happens it means that Slot is a genius.

They are still lacking one very precious thing: consistency.  Sad  This is like a big obstacle that they just can't get over it. It doesn't matter how good they play unless they get wins more often. It is that simple yeah.

Palmer and Madueke are the best players in the squad right now. Jackson is also starting to give good signals recently. I hope these positive things would lead to some good winning streak in the near future.

When it comes to the manager change, I said it a thousand times... Pochettino was doing great in the last times of the previous season. They won many games and climbed many positions. But still he ended up with getting sacked. So wrong decision...  Sad

They don't just lack consistency but also they lack a good defense truthfully. I don't know if I'm the only one seeing that loophole in that Chelsea side. Well, in the case of the consistency, I'd say that this is just the first three games if the season and that they still have enough room for improvements.
How consistent can Madueke contribute what he did for Chelsea against Wolverhampton with other big clubs? That we don't know, I can vouch for Cole Palmer as a player who's more consistent but not Nicholas Jackson and Noni Madueke. I still see Chelsea selling him during the January transfer window or next season. Enzo Maresca at least knows what it means like to win a trophy, Mauricio Pochetino might be good but he can't boast of winning a trophy. Chelsea football club has a good history when it comes to Italian managers. I'm sure Enzo Maresca would perform.

Arne Slot has made a decent start to his Liverpool career. If he keeps the team in the title race until the end of the season, the fans and board will both be satisfied for sure. It would be impressive without making many transfers.  Smiley

I know it's a little too early to judge but from what I've seen, he seems like a man that knows what he's doing. I didn't take his first two games in the league that seriously but after the United game, he has my attention. He totally outsmarted Ten Hag. He pressed better, knows how to hold on to the ball, knows how to win the ball back and they created a lot of chances. That game should have easily ended 5-0 in favour of Liverpool if they took their chances.
Then what I find very impressive about his team is how they were able to keep United quiet. They made sure Manchester United doesn't create a lot of chances. The lack of quality squad depth might be their only problem this season.

I hope Liverpool prove people wrong and stay in the race.  Roll Eyes  Liverpool or Arsenal, someone should stop Manchester City immediately. I'm really bored of seeing them as the champions every year...

As I said, Liverpool does not have the squad to sustain them for a full season. There is the champions league, Premier league, Caraboa cup and FA cup. Then let's remember that there are more and tougher games in the Champions League mow.
It's going to be difficult to compete with Man City for the league in those conditions. I still see Man City as the winners of the EPL because they even look better this season and Rodri hasn't even returned.

Before the start of the English Premier League campaign, I had predicted that Arsenal possesses more chances of winning the English Premier League title this season than Liverpool and that was because I thought it'll take time for the new manager of Liverpool to adapt system of football in the league but to my big surprise, Arne Slot in his first three have been able to grab all three points as well as not conceding a single goal. So right now, I consider Liverpool one of the top strongest contenders for the English Premier League title this season.
Arsenal under Mikel Arteta in the last three seasons have been exceptional but their failure to remain consistent from beginning of the season till the end have denied them the opportunity of winning the league under Arteta. I expected them to make significant additions during the summer transfer window especially in the top 9 striker's position so they can have better options in that very position but it seems the club manager is okay with what he has already. Between Arsenal and Liverpool, it'll be difficult to choose who I think stands a better chance of winning the league but if I must choose, I'll go for Arne Slot's Liverpool.
