Honestly if Chelsea is having hard time beating Servette, I am not sure how they will be doing at premier league at all.

Clearly they are having hard time, while this is early part of the season and they may do better later on, it is still clear that they might do better and we are talking about just august here, we are not even at September yet and things can get better eventually but so far they are not looking all that crazy good, which is why I doubt that they have that potential just yet.

The reason why this could be the best thing that we can do right now is the fact that we can't really do anything major about this and that is why I am not going to bet on Chelsea games at all, it doesn't feel like it would make too much sense.

Chelsea just signed Sancho, he's possibly going to play as a substitute for Pedro Neto from the left wing. Although Sancho had a fairly good season at Dortmund last season, but I'm not still very convinced he's what Chelsea is looking for to strengthen their squad.

Chelsea needs a holding striker more than ever and rumors have it that Osimhen has agreed to the €350000 weekly wage Chelsea offered as against €500000 he was demanding. Chelsea has a good defensive and offensive midfield and good wingers as well, having a holding striker like Osimhen up front would complete the team's attacking force. While they look for ways to fortify the defense because I'm not too comfortable with Cucurella's performance. He's not very sharp as a defender.

The dispute between Sancho and Ten Hag does not seem to have been completely resolved. Despite statements that they had reconciled but it seems to be just a pretense to the public. This is a loss for Man United because the loan deal comes with an obligation to buy for 23 million pounds, while Man United had to spend 73 million pounds when they signed Sancho from Dortmund. Sancho performed well last season with Dortmund so it would not be a surprise if he could also do well at Chelsea.
Sancho really messed up with Ten Hag, he made the guy look like a fool while Ten hag was believing he was making progress. I think the best decision was to leave the club since he's having a serious bad blood with the manager.

They may settle and declare it to the media, but I think the relationship was strained, hence his decision to leave instead of having continuous cold war with the manager.

He surely had a productive season at Dortmund last season and I wish him the best at Chelsea. Surely he's a bright player and would do better if he remains disciplined and focused.

Haaland just scored his 2nd of the game to make it 2-1 to Man City. That guy is a monster, does he ever stop scoring goals?

Arsenal dropping points at home already isn’t good for them. Now they face Spurs in the North London Derby without Declan Rice who will be serving a one game suspension for his sending off today.

Haaland is really a beast.  Grin  Manchester City is lucky to have such a goal machine. He has 7 goals in 3 games now. If I was playing fantasy, I would definitely give him an important role to bring valuable extra points.

He is still in the game. Guardiola is keeping him for a possible hat-trick most probably. I hope he can do it.  Roll Eyes  The second half has really been dangerous for Manchester City. Because I can't say they are as effective as in the first half. But I don't expect them to lose points in this game anyway. On a week Arsenal lost points, it would feel really great for Guardiola to get a win.

EDIT: While I was writing they scored the 3rd goal.  Cheesy  Haaland has completed it to a hat-trick now!

A real thriller in London. Not many expected Arsenal could lose points on their home ground against Brighton, but football is full of surprises.
Brighton did take advantage of the controversial red card for Declan Rice and used their advantage to score the equaliser. Both teams had chances of scoring winning goals but with no luck.
Meanwhile, we have a somewhat similar situation with Man City, who did take an early lead but West Ham has just managed to make it a 1-1. Still plenty of time to go.

Sterling said he had signed a contract with Arsenal. Arsenal are now playing against Brighton but Sterling's name is not in the starting line up and is not even seen on the Arsenal bench.

Goal. Havertz listed his name on the scoreboard to bring Arsenal for a while. Odds has changed and it's time to place a big bet if you want to win bets because Arsenal's game to win is very large compared to a draw.

It ended up with a bad result for Arsenal. Rice's red card changed everything in the match. Brighton took control of the 2nd half and it ended by 1-1 draw. However they could have even beaten Arsenal with that effort.

Aston Villa have beaten Leicester by 2-1. The last minutes were very exciting. If Vardy wasn't offside he was going to earn a very valuable penalty for his team. Such an energy at this age right?  Grin  Everton's downfall continues... They lost against Bournemouth home today. They are really running to relegation for now. It would be a pity to see a team like Everton in the Championship. I hope they find a way to get enough points to stay.  Sad

What an incredible performance from Brighton players after one goal down in the first half. The way Brighton is playing with all the big terms in the england premier league this season I think is going to be quite though for them to defeat Brighton, though last weekend they won Manchester united and today again they draw with Arsenal. However, I think this season is going be a nice one for them because looking at their performance now in the premier league I think they are doing pretty good.

Brighton is a mid-table team that often surprises us with their performances so far, the match against Manchester United shows that their ability is indeed not worthy of being underestimated by any team at the moment, but to be honest in today match Brighton performance was far from expected in the first half, Arsenal was able to control the first half of the match and we have to admit that the red card obtained by Arsenal clearly gave them a huge advantage in the match, if other players were hit by red cards in the match, maybe Arsenal would still be able to dominate the match, but not if Declan Rice came out, because I think the center of Arsenal balance of play so far lies in Declan Rice, so the exit of Declan Rice made Arsenal game unstable both in terms of defense and their attack so far.

Underestimate- nothing
I don't forget Liverpool showed hope in the Premier League last season and at one point it looked like they might finish the season at number one in the points table, behind Manchester City or Liverpool but you must have seen their late game. Their performance towards the end made it look like Liverpool were an unprofessional side and they may have forgotten to win at the end. Liverpool have had a good start in the first two matches this season and they have earned full points in these first two matches but the question here is whether Liverpool can sustain this winning streak till the end of the season. There is no doubt that Manchester City and Arsenal will be consistent, but if Liverpool are discontinuous in the middle of the season, they will not be able to compete with Arsenal or Manchester City in the end.

The same last season Liverpool came as a surprise to everyone the way they picked up was just what everyone was talking about, yes to the extent they had an excellent chance of winning the premier league but they lost that chance and could not even make the second position on the table but even with all this the effort of making the third position is good, how their performance dropped towards the ending of the season is quite disappointing, especially to their fans, and they have started this season again and Liverpool is always doing everything they can to be at the top even if they have been weak during the transfer window their performance is still amazing, their game against Manchester united is what everyone is waiting for and deciding who is going to win is something we don't know yet and we can not decide who is going to win. nut all I can say is that the chances of Liverpool winning is higher than that of Manchester United. Manchester City and Arsenal are not in the same league as Liverpool because for the past two season we are always ahead of them, and this season we are not only going to be ahead of them but we are winning the trophy.

I think the club that has the most players this season, but there is no useful development for Chelsea even bringing in any class of players Chelsea will not change for the progress of the club, even they continue to get bad results nothing changes only they continue to waste money to shop for players which in my opinion is wasteful, even though bringing in players like Jadon Sancho certainly Chelsea did not make any changes that we know that he alone to play with Man United has no impact on Man United, what about Chelsea even though they have many expensive players but none of them are able to encourage the spirit to become a solid team.

Yeah it was a last second signing by Chelsea and as far as I know the transfer window is closed for Premier League teams as of today.

Sancho is a quite good choice for them. He is much younger than Sterling and it is good to see him taking his place. However the thing is they already had Mudryk and Neto on the left wing. Was this signing really necessary?  Huh  Maybe Sancho will play better than both of them who knows. But having this many players in the same position isn't very ideal.

By the way Sterling has signed for Arsenal on loan with no option to buy. He would most probably be a rotation player there. But when he is given a chance I think he could do a decent work.  Wink

Now the summer transfer window has ended. I’m somehow not satisfied with how Arsenal concluded their business. It’s the general disappointment of not getting a grade-A attacker. Edu and Arteta goofed this summer with their plans for incomings, they acted like novices and are banking on fitness of the players, which is quite naive.

They are just 2 games into the season and have lost 2 key players, who knows what would have happened by week 10? They may have strengthened in quality but they have made the team weaker in terms of numbers.

Nevertheless, Sterling is a very wonderful addition to the team, he gives them dynamism and potency from the bench. And for the numbers flying around, that deal is a no-brainer. I’d rather have Sterling than the combination of Nketiah and Nelson.
As usual in every transfer market, Arsenal always says that they will try to strengthen every line in order to compete in the championship, but precisely every time the transfer market ends their fans are disappointed because the transfer they expect is not suitable, Arsenal have recruited Calafiori, Merino and also Sterling at this time although actually the fans are full of hope if they bring in one of the players in the position as a central striker at the moment, but Arsenal made a surprise again by bringing in Sterling who is actually positioned as a winger, the arrival of Sterling is of course a good addition to be a backup for Saka and Martinelli/Trossard, but I think without a qualified central striker at the moment it is difficult for Arsenal to be able to win the Premier League if they only continue to rely on the sharpness and performance of their wingers in match.

It is likely that Manchester City and Arsenal regularly do well in the Premier League as Manchester City and Arsenal do not have tough opponents in the English Premier League but this is the same thing we do not see in the Champions League. Manchester City is doing well in the Champions League but Arsenal is not doing very well in the Champions League. Arsenal's Champions League journey has come to an end after going from group stage matches to the last round of the Super Sixteen. As the big teams are competing in Champions League, Arsenal and other teams should compete hard so that Arsenal and other teams can finish the tournament in a better Champions League stage.
Arsenal and Manchester City have shown their ability in the Premier League by defending as champions 1 and 2 in the last 2 seasons so I think it's true as you said that they are still very strong in the Premier League their opponents are still below them but don't forget Liverpool because this club will also be a strong competitor in the Premier League last season this club became champion 3 this season maybe there is no significant difference Arsenal and Manchester City will definitely be at the top of the EPL standings.
Talking about the Champions League Man City and Arsenal are different Arsenal does not have a good experience it always ends before the final last season Arsenal was eliminated by Bayern Munich in the quarter finals UCL.
I don't forget Liverpool showed hope in the Premier League last season and at one point it looked like they might finish the season at number one in the points table, behind Manchester City or Liverpool but you must have seen their late game. Chelsea must maintain their performance as they just did at Wolves headquarters, their game is more lively, the ball supply is also flowing more smoothly into the opponent's defense area which makes it easier for the forwards to score goals. It was a great performance from Chelsea, they bounced back straight away after being beaten by Manchester City at Stamford Bridge. Enzo Maresca just needs to improve his defensive quality in the next match, conceding two goals at Wolves' headquarters must be overcome so they can get an easy win. It has been a long time since Chelsea fans wanted something extraordinary to happen on the pitch, they were so happy with the big win that was just achieved, if it continues like this, Chelsea will be a team to watch out for in the EPL this season.

Well, you always have to consider something, they were facing the strongest team or the strongest in the PL, that TITLE has not been taken away from City and therefore they had to start with that team, it's not that it's normal to lose against them, but I saw that they played them 1-1, they stood up well, they established good moments in the game, but they still fell, but the important thing is that they recovered, they won, and they've made a good start. I see them worthy of being in a good position in this PL, it's like you say, they have to maintain that level.

Enzo Maresca lauds Chelsea wonderkid who showed ‘personality’ in Servette defeat

Quote
Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca singled out Tyrique George for praise after the Blues lost 2-1 to Servette on Thursday night, insisting he ‘had personality’.

The 18-year-old wonderkid was named on the bench for the second-leg clash and was thrown into the XI on 62 minutes as he replaced Noni Madueke.

Despite Chelsea losing the match, George impressed his head coach, as the west Londoners won their Europa Conference League play-off 3-2 on aggregate.

‘He was good!’ Maresca said after the match, with Chelsea’s spot in the Europa Conference League now officially confirmed thanks to their first-leg victory.

‘He was not shy. He had personality. We also had Josh Acheampong on the bench.

-snip-Looking forward to a competitive match. Not sure which team I will bet on yet. But my guess is that the match is more likely to be a draw.
If I didn't see the previous match. I would immediately choose Arsenal to win this match. But from their first 2 matches in the League, it shows that Brighton cannot be underestimated. They managed to get good results in pre-season. They are currently in second place in the standings. Of course, Brighton is on fire right now. They seem to be able to beat any team. It would be reasonable to predict that the match will end in a draw. But Arsenal is a strong team and they are currently performing better than the previous season. I choose Arsenal to win the match.
We know how Arteta will continue to chase Man City, they will always be close, Brighton is indeed at the beginning of this season is quite strong and able to subvert the enemy to not get a chance to win easily, it is a very good impression at the beginning of the season and makes people think when against Arsenal can not be defeated and more likely to get a draw match for tomorrow.

But I'm quite doubtful that Arsenal will lose, I'd rather bet on Arsenal winning this match, I'm quite confident with Saka and his friends.

In the end Liverpool brought in a new player after perhaps not bringing in players before, and that player is Federico Chiesa.

The sad thing is this is one of the only 2 transfers Liverpool has made in the whole window until now... Mamardashvili is the another transfer and he isn't even joining the team anytime soon. Because he is loaned back to Valencia right away. What do you think on this situation? Do you expect Liverpool to be a part of the title race in the PL for a whole year?  Huh

By the way some people say Chiesa could be preferred over Nunez at the centre. I don't think it would be a good choice. Chiesa isn't a centre-forward. It would be better to use him as a left winger or second striker.
