Well it's too early to make a decision for anyone. The league isn't even half way and the top positions are highly contested. There's just 4 points difference between Liverpool, currently the first team in the table and Manchester City, the defending champion and currently fourth on the table. Aston Villa and Arsenal are too close.
Manchester City certainly has a more balanced team with the leadership of Pep Guardiola with gems like Alvarez and Haaland. And can turn the table on their side in just a few matches. We might not even see a clear winner till the last week of the league.

I think genuinely that this seasos is nnot like other seasons; Because Manchester City are clearly struggling with injuries and poor form from players (most espcially the defense line). Can Manchester City bounce back, yes ofcourse; but this season its not certain yet as many small teams are evern stronger

Well you're right, about last season, Arsenal where dominating the league from the beginning of the season to midpoint and even became everyone's favorite to win the league at some point, but they bottle the league and gave Manchester City and opportunity to lift the trophy again, therefore i won't be suprised if same thing reoccur this season, cause if you look at the standings you'll see that City are not left out in the title race,  there's still hope for them to win it, since the gap between them and the current  league leaders is not very wide.

 City might find it very tough defending the Champions League title but winning the EPL is not going to be very tough for them and i concour with your statement that they got the best players and manager currently, making them very strong potential winners of the EPL and sonner or later, maybe after the January window, we'll see them dominating the EPL table.

I remember this kind of a season from somewhere.    There was a season in the past in which Manchester City were even much worse than this situation in the Premier League. However they still captured the league title at the end by coming from really far behind.    Would this be another season in which they do the same?

I say why not? Because at the end of the day they still have the best squad in the league and the best manager who is Guardiola at the same time.

They are already doing great in the Champions League statistically and I believe that they will make things better soon here also.

I can say this season is the most competitive season in the premier league,the managers of those big teams knows,unlike last season when Arsenal was leading the table till after January when they were overthrown by Manchester City and won the league from them,this season is different,there are more serious teams who are ready to win the EPL tittle,and are more despirate for it than Arsenal or City.We have Aston Villa and Tothenham who are really fighting it hard to be in the top four this season.Liverpool and Arsenal are ontop,followed by Aston Villa and Manchester City,but the table could still turn after next weekend,and it might be turning like that till the righful owner of the tittle emerges,we haven't known who will win it because almost all the teams in the top four are very serious to win it.

It could harm Arsenal later on, which doesn't come as a surprise when a team loses a game, but it did not come as a surprise at all as a team that can beat Manchester City, can also beat any other team.

The best of it all is that for us Premier League fans the season and the table couldn't be more exciting. We don't have one team that is 15 points ahead after 16 games and it has barely been that close among the top teams. The very best teams are at the top, they are separated by only 4 points from 1st to 4th and Manchester City is the team that's running behind the others, which is also promising for some more action to come this season.

About the Liverpool match I'm not expecting much from Manchester United either. I don't see much difference between the previous season and this one now.

Moreover Liverpool are performing much better this season because they had difficulties for a long time in the previous one. Now they are in a title race and taking on a Manchester United which are in trouble. Manchester United defending is quite poor I'm afraid. I don't think they can resist Liverpool much because of that. Nunez is still not good enough at finishing but I don't expect Liverpool to have big problems on scoring anyway.

Aston villa has been showing gradual increase since early season. The team encountered difficulties when pitted against strong clubs, but Emery's influence on the players' mentality pushed them to surpass their previous performance. Look at how aston villa is now sitting at the third place of EPL. It was showing if emery is really having capability to become a good coach. Someone shall not doubt again his experience. Seeing aston villa keeps pushing itself beyond its limit made me feel so happy with it.
Aston villa was doing its job perfectly. In order for the club to achieve their goals, they simply needs to maintain a higher level of consistency throughout the remainder of the season. I can imagine to see aston villa qualify for the UCL next season.

it will be surprising lots of people here. The only key to make it happen if villa needs to win every match till the end of season. Villa may also be able to compete with liverpool and arsenal for the title race.

I must say that I am shocked by the results of the game. Arsenal played against Aston Villa, it was a game in which all attention was on seeing if, after Aston Villa had defeated Manchester City, they would also be able to defeat Arsenal, something that wouldn't be easy, but it wasn't impossible. and that's what happened on the field, Aston Villa defeated Arsenal and this is something that could really harm Arsenal in the race for the title, I don't know what the hell is happening with Arsenal, even though they have a good squad they couldn't score a goal in that game today, they didn't look like a team that is fighting for the title, on the contrary they looked like a team that is fighting to stay in the top 4. for Aston Villa this victory puts them in third position and they can fight to finish in one of the 4 positions or become champions, I no longer doubt that.

 The game between Villa and City was really much anticipated to see City being the victor but a whole lot of people turned numb when Villa netted in the first and only goal almost at the injury time of the game. Twas then that it was realized that Villa had never lost a home game for a number of weeks and City didn't even have the power to break the jinx, for City and most football fans, it was a bad night because the hopes were high and the expectations were clear. City on normal grounds are a better side to Villa but things took turn. Villa dominated the game from the start to the finish and it was really heavy on Guardiola because again his team has not been able to secure a win.

I think the final wake up game that Aston Villa played was the one against Manchester City. I thought I could not trust my eyes when I had a look at the game statistics. Aston Villa only won 1-0, but they outplayed Manchester City on all fronts and I don't know when Manchester City was dominated that much. It was a shocker. After that game I thought that this team is not going to have weak performances out of a sudden and lose several games in a row. I am pretty sure that they will be around at the top of the Premier League this season.

I didn't expect Aston Villa to perform so well this season. The previous season they were only ranked 7th in the standings. I think this result shows that in the first half of the season Aston Villa was able to appear consistently in every match. And this is a very good indication and there is a possibility that they will get the Premier League title even though it is really beyond everyone's predictions. But I'm sure everyone thinks Aston Villa will deserve to be in the top 4 until the end of the season and will get a place in the Champions League next season.

Yes, that's right, no one even thought that Aston Villa could beat Arsenal and Manchester City and try to get rid of these two clubs from the top ranks. Currently, Aston Villa is getting closer to first place and is only 1 point different from Arsenal, 2 points from Liverpool, this season. It will be a very interesting match to see Aston Villa trying to put pressure on Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City. I think that if Emery can bring Aston Villa to become Premier League champions this season, it will be an unexpected achievement for Aston Villa, but Aston Villa must maintain its consistency if they want to win the title this season and that is not easy, they still have to play many matches in the Premier League this season. I hope Aston Villa can maintain a good record not only in home matches but also in away matches because coincidentally Aston Villa can beat Arsenal and Manchester City at home.

Manchester United got thrown out of the champions league today by Bayern. They lost to Bayern by 1-0. Although it wasn't surprising that they lost to them because there was no way they could win against Bayern at home even Ten Hag used the greatest football formation he could think of. The league they will be focusing on should be PL and I don't think they can go far in it with Ten Hag. Firing Ten Hag seems to be the solution they have for poor performance.

Since Emery came things have been completely different for Aston Villa. They are like they have been touched by a magic wand. Because Emery's system has been running like clockwork. They are even a title contender at the moment. Especially after defeating Manchester City by not letting them even play and defeating Arsenal right after that was enough to see them as a title contender for now. 

However consistency is always the key factor in this. Emery is currently the most impressive manager in the league undoubtedly. If he goes on like this he would deserve to take the manager of the season prize.

Chelsea attitude to football has been very much frustrating, they've been behind average in their performance and it's bad because they've at the beginning of the season spent a whole lot on acquisition of new set of players who were believed to be world class and then have slacked in proving their worth. The coach on his part seems lost in his duties as he's not been able to act rightly. He should be able to know where his team and players are doing wrong and fix them up. If he's got some bunch of errors in his duties then there's no way the team would go without having errors too.

Chelsea before now were a good team in the hands of good coaches. It's sad to admit that Pochettino wasn't actually the man for the job. We have good players but all we need is the right combo which Pochettino has failed to establish and make consistent. We're far behind on the table and in our current situation, it'll be so hard to catch up. It's difficult to hope on them coming back up and it's a shame that we're at the position we are even with the players we've had in the team.

I do support MU to fire him but it's not even happening till now. As long as ten hag can make his club to perform even better and i do appreciate it but yeah mu was not even moving forward. It keeps stuck in the same place like it was nothing rather than only medium level club.
We really needs someone who can change the club like xabi alonso. Xabi has very good experience when he was playing for liverpool. Come on MU, sack ten hag please!.

MU ain't moving as long as ten hag was still there. Im sure that MU will able to perform better as long as it will be handled by a good hand like xabi alonso. MU needs to get a new coach as soon as possible.

We all know it is not actually easy but we all expected a very good result from Manchester united last season they were good at competition with Newcastle and now they are far below Newcastle,  and what every club need to be ranked is consistency and that is what Manchester united is lacking seriously. And the last time Chelsea and Manchester united played Manchester united won and the truth is no matter the condition of any club you cannot predict their play that is what happened in their case,  look at Chelsea and Manchester City. Erik ten Hag is unlikely to place in the top four. They will not stop now from giving in. Manchester United can do whatever they want this season because there is no amendment that can undo the present harm they have till the next season.

Of course it is very interesting to discuss every week, Manchester United needs a management overhaul and several players are detrimental or often make mistakes. Manchester United is a club that wastes money when the transfer market arrives, but the results from each purchase of players they bring in are not to meet expectations for Manchester United, Manchester United must look for a new coach who is really looking for players who suit Manchester United's playing style, not just a little but no contribution or even a big salary but no use for the club.

I really hope that Manchester United management will fire Erik ten Hag next season, otherwise it is very likely that Manchester United will continue to decline in the standings and will even be thrown out of the Champions League or Europe.

@Despairo Manchester United maybe back in the top 10 but they play like a team that’s stuck on the 20th spot and it’s really painful at times to watch them play. Furthermore Ten Hag has lost the player’s, his mind when he baffles everyone by leaving Varane out and not giving Donny a chance because everyone been playing so bad he should have played him and worst is the public drama of Sancho and thus I feel that he should be asked to leave asap while we can yet salvage this season.
