Finally! I have been waiting for the Red Devils to take a big step for their own good. They have finally done it.  Smiley  While Wan-Bissaka has signed for West Ham, the Mazraoui deal came with a great timing. He is much better than Dalot so I don't expect him to have problems on being a regular starter. Maybe this can push Dalot to play better from now on.

I'm especially happy about finalizing de Ligt agreement. Leny Yoro is out for 3 months so they needed another CB immediately. de Ligt is coming just in time while there is less than a week left for the new season to begin.

This too deals were just a matter of time since Manchester United got in. De Ligt was serious candidate right from the starting of this summer window opening and the deal halted due to the amount that Bayern Munich valued him at and the new board at Manchester United wouldn’t splash money like the ones we had at Manchester United before this season. Manchester United Definitely added the Mazourrai to the deals all for them not to allow the $60M they turn to spend just go away. This two players will be excellent additions but i don’t see the likes of Mazaraoui benching Dalot easily , he won the clubs player of the season for a spot but it will be a shame if adding Getty

BTC, a coin of today and tomorrow.
Manchester United seems to be moving quickly to recruit defenders who have strong potential in maintaining their defense.
Manchester United really needs defenders because their defense was just too poor last season, which made their goalkeepers performances  worse. Even as we know that Onana made some stupid mistakes last season and conceded so many goals, if Manchester United had a strong defense, then he wouldn’t have conceded so much, some balls would be blocked by the defenders and wouldn’t get to the goalkeeper, but since their defense was weak, it also affected their goalkeeper. Ten Hag has really done well by trying to strengthen the defense of the club. I'm sure it’s really going to help the team’s performance.

The case of Onana and David De Gea at a point seems similar. If you can remember vividly, Manchester United defense didn't suddenly go wrong in the time of Onana. Even when David the Gea was around, Manchester United had once had bad defense. It was David that served Manchester United from even being relegated that season. That was when he was nicknamed David de save. We also said something about the situation then, that if David had better defense he would be the best goalie in the world. This same  situation has faced Onana and we are thinking that his problem is the defense. There is no doubt Onana is a good goalie, but he isn't exceptional and I cannot boldly say that he is better than David de Gea. He is purely better than David only in footing and passes and not in savings.

However, the success of any goalkeeper depends on the formidableness of his defence line.

Indeed, they came at quite the right time. Man United's back line is indeed quite bad. At least, with the addition of de Ligt as a center-back and Noussair Mazraoui at right-back.

Man United is getting quite more serious this time. Expecting Maguire and Antony leaving.

Chelsea are prepared to splash out €60m plus €3m add-ons to finally sign Pedro Neto. Is this the right Right Winger and worth purchasing for this club?
Current market value: €55.00m

Ten Hag doesn't seem to have put much trust in Joshua Zirkzee even though he is actually a good striker who was brought in from Bologna. Joshua Zirkzee didn't get any minutes in yesterday's crucial match as Manchester United lost on penalties in the Community Shield final against Manchester City. Basically, Zirkzee could get minutes due to the need for a striker in the Manchester United squad, but Ten Hag doesn't play him.

Joshua Zirkzee has to prove himself worthy of breaking into Manchester United's main squad in the season which starts next week, he can't have fun on the bench and watch his teammates play until the game is over. I certainly wonder why Ten Hag didn't play him in yesterday's match, even though Joshua Zirkzee deserved minutes when their main striker was injured.

I seriously doubt that Zirkzee is the guy who will solve Manchester United's problems and even though I don't really like ten Hag, he is probably smart enough to know that.

Zirkzee got quite lucky in the Bundesliga when he scored a couple of goals every few minutes on average when his role was a joker and he mostly was brought on from the bank later in the game. But he had some lucky positions and scored.

In Serie A he was doing ok I think, but I was quite surprised when I heard that he is about to go to the Premier League. That's a different business and Manchester United is not one of the strongest clubs, meaning if Zirkzee wants to be successful there, it is not like playing for Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga. I doubt he will become an important part of the team, but time will tell whether he can keep up his decent stats in that league as well.

Manchester United seems to be moving quickly to recruit defenders who have strong potential in maintaining their defense. The two defenders recruited by Manchester United are Bayern Munich defenders who will be an alternative replacement for Leny Yoro who is currently injured until this player recovers. I think Manchester United is very optimistic with these defenders. I am also happy that Manchester United can finally overcome this little problem before the season starts, Man United must be ready, but to overcome the next problem regarding Rasmus Hojlund, hopefully Joshua Zirkzee can be a replacement that meets the club's expectations.

I was very impressed with the way Arsenal performed today against Lyon in their Emirate cup game. Their press is insane. Very coordinated and intense. There is this discipline from every single player to win the ball back immediately. Honestly, I have this relief and calmness because I believe Arteta knows what the team needs as he's steering the ship.

What’s more impressive about this Arsenal team is the fact that goals can come from any player in the team. Both goals in the game were from their two center backs. I think they’ve worked and practiced well to be converting from set pieces.

With the performance Manchester City put up in the Community Shield finals yesterday against their rival Manchester United, there’s a high chance Manchester City starts the season slowly again. Arsenal have to take advantage of that and put some daylight between them and Manchester City before the 2nd half of the season if they’re to win the EPL title this season.

After Yoro recovers, he and De Ligt will form a great centre-back duo. With Mazroui joining the team, Manchester United will have reduced their problems in the defence area to a minimum. I think they are already preparing for next year's squad. They can also transfer some important stars next year. If they develop a very good strategy, I think they will be in a good position for the Champions League this year and will play for the championship next year.

Absolutely, I agree. But it depends on Lisandro Martinez's performance at the same time. He has a chronical injury summary which has made things really difficult for him so far.  Sad

But if he doesn't suffer injuries often again then maybe he could strengthen his place in the starting lineup. In this situation Leny Yoro might have to be more patient after he recovers. No matter what Manchester United defense line has got really strong thanks to the recent signings. Finally they are taking concrete steps for bigger achievements. For this season, I hope to see them finishing in top 4.  Smiley

Alvarez has been a super sub for Manchester City, although his role and contribution is not as big as Haaland, but Guardiola still needs other player to replace his current role, however, it is reported that currently Guardiola is not looking for a player in the transfer market to replace Alvarez, because Guardiola is inclined want to give Greater opportunities for their young players including the players I mentioned above.
I would say the decision to sell Alvarez is going to be a bad decision for Manchester City. In the last two seasons we have seen Alvarez perform brilliantly. Alvarez is an excellent player no doubt. We have seen good performances from Alvarez in most important matches. More importantly, Alvarez was the reason why Manchester City's performance was stable last season. Manchester City's overall performance was likely to be unstable due to Haaland's injury. Alvarez's consistent performances have kept City's performance stable.

Haaland was not getting along injury last season. Also, i can't really understand why you call it as a bad decision. ATM acquired Alvarez from City at a very high price. City got his services a few years after buying Alvarez from River Plate. Then, they sold him for a very high price.
Again, Manchester City is not rushing to get Alvarez's replacement. So, Pep has decided to use a player from City's academy. But, the latest news links City to Rodrygo, but no confirmation so far.

It's a win-win situation for Alvarez and City.

I don't know which player Guardiola has selected to replace Alvarez. But if Manchester City can't find a suitable replacement for Alvarez, then we might see City's erratic performance next season.
Missing Alvarez won't make City's play erratic. But, I agree that City needs a new striker to back up Haaland.

Yes indeed, I think it is also very inappropriate to sell Alvarez even though Manchester City prefers Haaland as the main player but anyway, Haaland also quite often fails to have a good performance in important matches. For example, Haaland is not always good when playing in the Champions League and also, Haaland is not always good when playing in the final match for example in yesterday's match in the Community Shield final. Thus, player rotation must still be done, of course, to keep Manchester City's attacking line good to be a preparation when Haaland gets stuck.

But yes, because the transfer has happened then we will also only be able to watch how Manchester City next season maintains its consistency. Because after all, if Manchester City fails to have consistent results and performance, then of course Manchester City will be left behind in the title race or get bad results also in the Champion League because of the rotation of players who are not optimal.

Another friendly match ended today. Chelsea was drawing with Inter Milan. What I'm concerned about is how Yann Sommer served as a big wall for Inter Milan today. He blocked everything, but Lesley was able to score for Chelsea in the last minute of game.

In this game, Chelsea was also presenting their new player, namely Pedro Neto from Wolves. Inter Milan's performance is not that bad, though. They played more defensively than Chelsea. And i see some improvement from Chelsea today.

Some Blues players, such as Renato Veiga, Samu, and Tosin, showed outstanding performances. I am totally aware if this is a friendly game, but they deserve it.

Congratulations to Manchester City who won the 2024 FA Community Shield by beating Manchester United in a penalty shootout.

Manchester City did a really good work there with their young players. Guardiola gave chances to many of them in the starting 11. If they started with main starting 11 then I don't think this match would go beyond 90 minutes. They weren't able to win the FA Community Shield championship for 4 years by the way. They finally put an end to the bad series.  Smiley

It is an important result at the same time. This would give them more morale to have a good start to the Premier League. Lastly, I wonder about whom Guardiola is thinking to sign to fill Alvarez's absence in the team...
Relying on young players in this match certainly indicates that Guardiola is not too obsessed with getting the community shield trophy, but even so, Guardiola seems quite happy to see the improvement that occurred in their young players in that the match and we can see how he really praises players like Oscar Bobb , James McAtee and also Nico O'Reilly who performed very impressively even though they faced players who were more senior than them, but even so, of course this first trophy will be a good start for Manchester City to start next season.

Congratulations to Manchester City who won the 2024 FA Community Shield by beating Manchester United in a penalty shootout. This is a great start for them before the season starts because they started it with a win by beating their city rivals.

In terms of the game, they actually play not much different, or in other words, Manchester United can match their game and even Manchester United can take the lead first. However, I will not rush to conclude by saying that what we saw in that match was the original form of their game that we will see in a longer competition. Because for me, it takes some official matches to say they are playing well or not.

I don't know how authentic is the news about Mo Sallah leaving the club but regardless, having alternatives is very necessary and their defense needs serious attention too. I'm not trying to downgrade their current defenders but Vigil is not as strong as before and possible replacement should be in place in case of any misfortune. Arne slot seems to be satisfied with the present squad and will definitely figure out how he can get desired results with them.
I think the owner doesn't really like spending to be fair, can't say anything even if you have a great scouting team when your owner don't give you money to buy players. I honestly believe this is why they brought in Slot, so that they can use their young players more instead of buying players. Not sure what their target for next season is, but I don't think the owner aim for something as big as a quadruple charge or something similar. They really want to maximize profit as much as possible without hurting the team too much. Not sure if fans will like it tho.
In the last few seasons we have seen that Liverpool have only sold their players but on the contrary they have not bought any players. Mohamed Salah is Liverpool's best player no doubt but there are rumors of this player leaving the club although this rumor is not new we saw in the transfer window last season there were many positive hints about this player leaving the club but in the end he stayed at Liverpool. There have been reports in the media that Liverpool will let him go this season, although these are rumours.  But before a deal is done, there are rumors and then the deal is done.

If Mohamed Salah leaves Liverpool and goes to another club, Liverpool's forward lineup will be very weak and it will be a challenge for the manager to do well in Premier League or Champions League with this weak lineup. The transfer window is still open and if Mohamed Salah does indeed leave the club, we will definitely be waiting to see who will come to Liverpool next.

I heard that he wanted to leave or he was going to leave but that was quite a long time ago. Right now I do not know what is actually going to happen. But I am not hearing any news of him actually leaving. I have heard that Mohammed Salah will be leaving Liverpool since the last two seasons. But other than that I have not heard anything specific.

Of course, if he does leave Liverpool, it is going to be bad for Liverpool in the attacking lineup. Because he is still a very important player for Liverpool. And in recent seasons Liverpool did have some problems with their attacking lineup. By the way, I thought Liverpool was actually ready to let him go. I thought they had a replacement already ready for him. But it seems like that is not the case.

I think currently Manchester United have made quick moves by bringing in De Light and Mazraoui at the same time to cover the gaps in their defense next season, Previously Manchester United had brought in Leny Yoro as one of the players projected to strengthen their defense next season after Varane left, however losing Leny Yoro due to injury in a friendly match actually forced Manchester United to bring in two defenders at once, in my opinion the purchase made by Manchester United will have a very positive impact on their defense next season, previously Manchester United only targeted De Light for them to recruit from Bayern but After Wan-Bissaka left for West Ham in the last few days, Manchester United are also pursuing Mazraoui to replace him as a right-back.
Whether these two players will be good recruits for Manchester United or not next season is of course worth we seeing...!

I think Man United are very lucky to be able to sign Noussair Mazraoui for such a cheap price. Mazraoui not only has pretty good speed and technique but he can also play as a left back as well as he can play as a right back. So with these advantages, Man United has more options in the side back position.

Man United signed De Ligt not only to fill a hole after Leny Yoro was injured but from the start they had targeted 2 central defenders, and in the end they were able to make it happen.

One homework that Man United must be sorted out immediately is not on the front lines but they had to get certainty regarding the planned transfer of Manuel Ugarte or Sander Berge as an option if Ugarte failed to join Man United.
