However, apart from Manchester City not being in a good position in the Premier League, they are also in a somewhat weak position in the Champions League.

Even though Liverpool has a great chance to win both the EPL and UCL this season, I’m not convinced they can make it happen. I don’t think Liverpool has what it takes to make it through the season without dropping form. Arne Slot has proven himself to be a very efficient manager and a worthy replacement for Klopp but I wouldn’t compare him to Klopp. Unlike Klopp who had to build the team from scratch, Arne Slot was handed a top quality squad who are not new to success so it is easier for Arne Slot to build on the strengths of the team and continue from where Klopp left off.

Frankly speaking, it's gonna be painful if they should end this season without any one of these trophies because there's no better timing than now, and to do that Liverpool would need to maintain their winning streaks.

It was not that big of an improvement coming from Manchester United, and it was under Nistelrooy, so no major complaints. It was always supposed to be a difficult game coming, so fair play, at least they did not lose. Everyone got tired of Erik Ten Hag, so some change was very much welcomed, which was reflected throughout their performance. Everyone seemed more hungry to prove themselves before the new manager came in and joined them.

I think Enzo Maresca is settling in. It is taking time, but a new squad, a new management takes time. You can't compare Maresca to Arne Slot because what he is doing is just miraculous. No one expected that to happen.

Chelsea, if they somehow did better in terms of finishing, they could see a different ending to the match against United. Manchester United was defeated because of the strategy of the one who was in charge of Manchester United earlier. The new manager has to take up the challenge and turn this weak team into a good one. Everyone can do good by taking charge of a good team, but only those who can take charge of a weak team and turn that weak team into a good team are qualified.

Manchester United seems to be better under Van Nistelrooy if you look at the few matches he has managed sk far, two wins and a draw, although it is not to conclude but he was able to stop the consecutive loses and that alone is commendable.. I do wonder if retaining him as rhe head coach instead of hiring Amorin, wouldn't have been better for Manchester United? Perhaps we shall know from few weeks when the new manager starts work, maybe the club owners knows better and might be looking at sustainability rather than immediate results.

We don't know exactly if Van Nistelrooy will work together with Amorim or not because there is no certainty news about him. Van Nistelrooy still expects he can work as an assistant to build a team together, but I think Amorim is not so interested because he has his own team who had worked with him at Sporting, and most likely he will use the same team at previous club and cleaning everything on Ten Hag legacy. When I look at how Amorim plays his scheme, both has a difference tactical in terms of improving the squad. Nistelrooy was playing an offensive pattern while Amorim a bit defensive but relied on impressive to counter attack. So that the situation will be contradicted if both work together.
