It is really a huge coincidence to see that the two clubs from Manchester are facing the same problems that is so obvious now. Manchester City have gone several matchers with bad result of either a loss or a draw. This is not a good result for a Manchester City because it will ruin their chances of winning the league because they started the season with the mindset of winning the league.

Manchester United have never had many moments of joy this season as there problem seems to be a perennial one. The worst is that after changing their coach, they are yet to still see any remarkable improvement and this is frustrating especially to fans. Losing to Wolves yesterday was the worst of it because Wolves is not a big team that should win United. I'm sure the top management might be confused right now on what to do next.
Manchester United have bad matches and bad results with Ten Hag, now with Ruben Amorim, and together with a surprising crisis of Manchester City, we will familiarize ourselves with weeks when they have bad results together.

In the defeat of Manchester United, their players perfomed bad but their captain Bruno again shown his lack of responsibility for a captain role. He got many red cards and put his teammates in big troubles and it's more unacceptable because he is an attacking player, not a defensive one. He is a good player but is not good to be a captain, Amorim needs to find a new captain for Manchester United.

Trust the process, imbibe consistency
These Manchester Clubs are currently behaving like twins, one loses their game earlier and the red one follows suit and let's not talk about the Fernandez red cars because as captain on a yellow cars he should have known better... from now on I will be picking this pair to lose or draw because that's what they do best!!

As things stand, Manchester United  chasing the game with a goal down against Wolves and Utd being the traveling team this is another "L" for the team.

No one is catching up now, both Chelsea and Manchester city dropped important points although the Chelsea one was the most surprising one after leading in the first half, had 20 mins to defend the lead and lost it within 15 mins. Arsenal could take the advantage to go second tomorrow.

Personally I think the Liverpool second goal was offside, didn't know how VAR was able to bypass that. It's Liverpool thing I guess.

The Var are fond of doing stuffs like this in the Premier League competition and I don't get angry like I do again before but they have to be consistent with making proper decisions.
Saw Enzo Maresca commenting on Pep Guardiola,  he should just mind his business and focus on his job, they had the chance to win the game but screwed this up at the end. It was a good win for Fulham this has never happened in the last 45 years. Nothing to say about Pep.

Goodnight, ohh Leo!!! 🦅

I think Chelsea doesn't need much fixing -- atleast not as urgent as city does... Mann, never seen this long spree after a momentary win in just a single season. Or maybe I have but this doesn't just sound right that it's happening to the said club under the management of Pep.

Recently, I saw a little narrative on the news that he's up and been booking down a couple of good players. I don't know how authentic the information was but I'd say, whatever he's doing underground that we don't know, just to put the club back in shape should be done with the speed of light. Do you not agree that a club can suffer in future if their entire performances depend on some potential players? What happens when they're hospitalized? Or probably out of the club?

Call me crazy but I actually think it was a good game by Man City.
Yes, they've lost points again, but they created plenty of chances and dominated the game as they should. The missed penalty by Haaland was a big downer, but those things happen.
I mentioned before that I expected a draw as the most likely outcome. Despite their low position in the league, Everton is not an easy team to win against, they have the highest draws/game played ratio in the league and have a quite good defence (they conceded fewer goals than Man City). Overall, it was a decent game by the City, they deserved a win but the luck was not on their side.

A good opportunity for Arsenal, they will face a team in the relegation zone which must be utilized as well as possible to get points to be able to overthrow Chelsea from 2nd place.
If Arsenal will win will depend on how Arteta will approach the game especially with team selections. With Gabriel Jesus hot and scoring, his confidence is good to keep him in front and have Havertz playing in from the midfield. Martinelli and Trossard of course, and maybe inbetween the game have a switch of wings since they can play from the flanks. I am not a coach but I feel that will be a more effective strategy than deciding to play Gabriel Jesus from Saka's wing. It will be a must win game Arsenal that they need to win by a lot of goals.

How things are going Liverpool will win the title a couple of rounds earlier. I dont see anyone coming close to them and the gap will just be wider between them and the rest of the league. They won against Leicester easily just in second gear. After the third goal they didnt even want to attack and Leicester didnt even touch the ball later on
Liverpool can lock the title early if Chelsea, Arsenal fail in many upcoming matches. Currently Liverpool's performance is so good, they are chasing 3 points in every match, they managed to achieve it by leading the standings by far ahead of the second-ranked team.
The points difference is getting wider, but other teams still have a chance but it is very small because the upcoming match Liverpool will face a lower ranked team which might be a bonus for them.

A good opportunity for Arsenal, they will face a team in the relegation zone which must be utilized as well as possible to get points to be able to overthrow Chelsea from 2nd place. Arsenal can compete strongly with Liverpool this season, but I still doubt Arsenal's performance because they relatively gave up when the competition was about to end.

Once more time.
Manchester City today lost points again.
They were unable to beat everton, the game ended 1-1 even with extra "punishment" training days during Xmas.

Their situation however is not terrible, they may have lost the possibility of winning the league at this point but they are still in race for an easy top 4.
This is unlike Manchester City we used to know for the past 5 seasons,  I have never seen them struggle this way with such a consecutive dropping of points. Now they're out of the race to whom will become the premier league champions and further defend their tittle.
They're been troubled by even a team that is not supposed to win or hold them on a draw.
Now losing games or points has now become a tradition of Manchester City.

Liverpool got scared and they were losing.
Shortly after they managed to score 2 goals and now they are winning.

This win if happens with another potential 3 point from the missing game will be critical.

They are right now at a potential +10 from the second in the leaderboard after 18 games, crazy.
Liverpool definitely will get a win again this week and give a bigger gap with the team in second and also having a game at hand.

To be honest I still think they may fall off just like last season after dominating for so long. I will actually see them as the title favourite if they can hold up on their lead till to at least February ending.

While the teams closest to Liverpool are losing, Liverpool continues to lead and win completely and there is no team bothering them. Manchester City has not been able to win a match for many weeks, how will they fix it, Pep Guardiola cannot find a solution, this year is almost over, although it is too early to say for City, there are many losses.

Chelsea were also getting close, they won a point last week and lost today. In other words, there is no team left that is really close to Liverpool.

They are against a team in the relegation zone. I'm even surprised that Leicester could score goal first but Liverpool equalized the goal at the end of the first half of the match. Now, in the early of the second half, Liverpool succeed score another goal and they're leading until now. Sure, it seems Liverpool to win again and get 3 points more. Since Chelsea was defeated by Fulham, Liverpool will be stronger leading EPL standings.
Actually, I was also surprised and after watching the first half to the end, I was also thinking that today it looks like Liverpool is going to lose to Leicester City and maybe because of this Chelsea club will have a little chance to move them up the rankings.

However, in the end, Liverpool's players managed to maintain their standards by scoring three goals against the 17th ranked club. Although I was expecting Mohamed Salah to score a few more goals, he only scored once. However, now Liverpool club is almost out of reach of Chelsea club. Now if their luck is not too bad then they will remain at number one.

Liverpool is known for doing great comebacks this season; they have that composure of making it happen after been defeated in the first half, and that’s what keep them moving up till now even if they are one man down.

Liverpool are indeed the top favorites to win the EPL this season because they have Mohammad Sallah, follow by my team Arsenal because we will soon take over the second place if we can defeat Ipswich Town tomorrow which is possible because we have to take the chance after Chelsea drop some points earlier today.

If injury affects Liverpool, they might also drop points, but as it is now, they are the best team in the Premier League and if they keep performing like this, Arne Slot will win the EPL in his first season.

Their situation however is not terrible, they may have lost the possibility of winning the league at this point but they are still in race for an easy top 4.
The chance is still there especially their points are still not too far away but in the end things like this must be balanced with a performance that does change but until now Manchester City still can't do that.

9 defeats, 3 draws and 1 win in their last 14 matches in all competitions clearly shows that Manchster City's current situation is in a tremendous slump even this is the worst season of Pep from the beginning he coached Mancehster City until now. This means that although their chance is still there but this is clearly very difficult for them in the top 4 especially when talking about the competition for the trophy if in the end they remain the same in terms of performance because seeing them now is like a clown on the field even though the dominance is extraordinary but they still cannot collect the points they should get easily.

Manchester city got a draw and manchester united suffered a defeat. That's what happened in today's match, both teams did not perform well even far from the expectations desired by the fans. For City they managed to lead first and had many opportunities but unfortunately their performance was not as expected by the fans because at the end of the match they shared points with Everton.

Manchester united performed worse, they were again humiliated by a team that was below their ranking. A series of defeats in 5 matches made manchester united like a team that was not too strong this season. There are many things that amorim must learn after being defeated by Wolves. They must make stronger changes like chelsea have done.
Btw liverpool is leading the match where they are leading 2-1.

Easy top four? I mean looking at how they have been doing in the last 13 games, I would say nothing is easy for them at all. They are 8th or something if I am not wrong, and that means it is going to be pretty near impossible for them to claim back up there. The title chance is already gone, that is not going to happen, we can be sure of that, I see that mathematically that is not the key, they still have a chance in that regard, but by that logic even United has a chance, but we know they won't.

The title is gone but if they keep this up for another month, I am pretty sure that we are going to end up seeing them lose top four chances as well, and maybe already did, it is really looking terrible for them without a doubt. It is not really that tough, we need to consider this might be it for them, they may not recover from this.

Yep. Both Manchester teams are in a red sign.  Cheesy
TBH, I'm not surprised with Man United because this already happens in many seasons. But I'm shocked with Man City, they changed too much. This teams turned to be a weak team, meanwhile they were too strong team in EPL. I don't understand why this team is declining too drastically. Does Pep have serious problems with the players?

I think while the management will likely support Ruben Amorim, they should also scrutinize the players he is going for especially in regarding to the transfer fee because Ten Hag got some liability to the team in a high fee which is bad for business and I think they will have to sell some players in order for him to get the ones he wants while many of these players will be sold at lost.
It’s not obvious that Manchester United’s problem is not the coach, but the players. If Manchester United doesn’t flush out their players, then there won’t be improvement in the club's performance, they will just keep on sacking their coaches. Current Manchester United players are just to lazy to play for the club, or maybe they having other problems which isn’t made public, that’s why they are not performing well. Seriously Ten Hag made some wrong signings, which is really affecting Manchester United currently. If United will be selling those players back, then they will be selling at a loss because their market value will have dropped, and I just hope Ruben Amorim won’t also be making the same mistake that Ten Hag made, because some fans are already complaining about him.

This squad does not suit Manchester United. Manu, a Champions League veteran for years, is not in the Champions League this year.

The reason for this is last year's poor football and performance.
Manu and his management should clearly understand this by now. The problem is not with the Technical Director.
First of all, I would send Bruno Fernandes. If I am not mistaken, when Ronaldo came to Manu again, he was the first player to take a stand against him.
There is no player in the team, especially in the forward position, who is good at finishing.
Today, he played poor football against Wolves.
If there are no quality transfers, it would be a miracle for them to make it to the Champions League next year.
