Full time in the Amex Stadium Brighton 2-1 Manchester city. What a big win for Brighton after one goal down by Erling Haaland in the first half I thought it will going to be a most win for Manchester city due to the early goal but Brighton comeback in the second half was indeed a massive one as they were able to take 5 minutes and score 2 goals against Manchester city and hold till final whistle. However, if Liverpool win Aston villa tonight I think they stand in a better chance for the premier league title this season.
Brighton are not playing with the kind of intensity I thought they would play against Manchester City. With the way they played against Liverpool, and the current form that Manchester City found themselves right now, I was thinking Broughton would be leading Manchester City by half time, but so far Manchester City has been the better side against them. Manchester City has been dominant for the entire first half. I'm even more surprised that Pep Guardiola dropped Akanji and Ake on the bench and and opted for Pussey. I was hoping that Brighton would have exploited the inexperienced of Pussey and inflict damage on Manchester City. Anyway let's see how the second half will turn out.

Even though Liverpool has a great chance to win both the EPL and UCL this season, I’m not convinced they can make it happen. I don’t think Liverpool has what it takes to make it through the season without dropping form. Arne Slot has proven himself to be a very efficient manager and a worthy replacement for Klopp but I wouldn’t compare him to Klopp. Unlike Klopp who had to build the team from scratch, Arne Slot was handed a top quality squad who are not new to success so it is easier for Arne Slot to build on the strengths of the team and continue from where Klopp left off.

It's also noticeable if Brentford's defensive line is also getting even more solid. They struggled at the start of the season with several losses. Now, they are making a comeback as we enter mid-season. I expect them to play even better since their lines are getting even more balanced.
