The way Manchester City have started this season, people will stop talking about Manchester City after a few days. Now Liverpool's good performance is in our eyes, so in the Premier League, most of the discussions are about Liverpool and criticism is more about Manchester City. Liverpool have continued their early season performance so far so this team can be trusted for now. Liverpool have not been Premier League champions for a long time so this season is a golden opportunity for them to become champions as Manchester City are not in form this season.
Hopefully Liverpool won't drop points in the Premier League at least because of their mistakes and they will continue this performance until the end of the season.

In the last few seasons, we have seen Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal fighting for the title. This season, Manchester City has lost its form badly. So this team has no chance of winning the title. On the other hand, Arsenal's performance is also quite irregular. Chelsea was able to perform well for a few days. But in the last two matches, Chelsea also lost points and fell behind. So at the moment, Liverpool is dominating the Premier League. Liverpool is ahead of Chelsea, who are in second place in the table, by a big point. If Liverpool can keep their performance somewhat stable in the upcoming matches, then the team can become Premier League Champions.

After the win of yesterday evening Premier leauge after many years sounds close before Xmas.
Liverpool has 7 points of advantage versus the second team, Chealsea

Nobody was expecting them in second position but if Sloth manage to win the missing game it will be at +10.

I think it may never happened that a team lost 10 points of advantage in a single year from the 1st position.

Liverpool got scared and they were losing.
Shortly after they managed to score 2 goals and now they are winning.

This win if happens with another potential 3 point from the missing game will be critical.

They are right now at a potential +10 from the second in the leaderboard after 18 games, crazy.
Liverpool definitely will get a win again this week and give a bigger gap with the team in second and also having a game at hand.

To be honest I still think they may fall off just like last season after dominating for so long. I will actually see them as the title favourite if they can hold up on their lead till to at least February ending.

How things are going Liverpool will win the title a couple of rounds earlier. I dont see anyone coming close to them and the gap will just be wider between them and the rest of the league. They won against Leicester easily just in second gear. After the third goal they didnt even want to attack and Leicester didnt even touch the ball later on
While the teams closest to Liverpool are losing, Liverpool continues to lead and win completely and there is no team bothering them. Manchester City has not been able to win a match for many weeks, how will they fix it, Pep Guardiola cannot find a solution, this year is almost over, although it is too early to say for City, there are many losses.

Chelsea were also getting close, they won a point last week and lost today. In other words, there is no team left that is really close to Liverpool.

And now the match between Everton is underway, now the match has entered the second half, and for the time being the score is still 1-1. I hope Man City can score the winning goal, or at least hold Everton to a draw, a draw is better than having to experience another defeat

Another point loss by Manchester City. The nightmare continues... It is really unbelievable to see them having a this long bad streak honestly. They couldn't beat Everton as well today despite finding some decent chances to get ahead once again. Everton are also really good about stealing points from top teams of the Premier League though. But this still can't be an excuse for Manchester City of course. They are very bad and can't do anything about it obviously.  Sad

A draw is better than losing again. They have lost many points in a row, getting one point is better than nothing at all. But on the one hand they also have to be careful because Fulham can shift Man City's position at any time, Fulham managed to snatch three full points from Chelsea, so that their current points are 28 points, the same number of points achieved by City. And now between Man City and Fulham, the only thing that distinguishes their positions is the goal difference achieved by the two teams, and it is only a thin difference of one goal.

Quote
Liverpool must be enjoying their results on one hand. Because Manchester City are normally the biggest threat for the title. Now they have to deal with Chelsea and Arsenal. For now I can say they have been really good at doing it. Today I expect them to beat Leicester too.  Smiley

Liverpool is currently on top because what should be their toughest competitor, Man City, continues to experience decline. As for other teams such as Chelsea and Arsenal, both teams are still inconsistent so they have not been able to approach the points achieved by Liverpool. Chelsea failed when facing Fulham and Arsenal were only able to get a draw in two consecutive matches, which made Arsenal currently displaced by Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest has just managed to achieve their 4th consecutive win in the Premier League, the victory over Tottenham has made Nottingham now in the Champions League Zone. Nottingham have been a real shock this season, their brilliance has left the big teams in the lurch. Liverpool lost at Anfield, Man United lost at Old Trafford, Defeated Aston Villa and Tottenham have just become their victims.

This season, Nottingham has become a threat to the big clubs who have always managed to appear in the UCL.

No one is catching up now, both Chelsea and Manchester city dropped important points although the Chelsea one was the most surprising one after leading in the first half, had 20 mins to defend the lead and lost it within 15 mins. Arsenal could take the advantage to go second tomorrow.

Personally I think the Liverpool second goal was offside, didn't know how VAR was able to bypass that. It's Liverpool thing I guess.

A bit surprised Chelsea bottled three points. but Fulham deserved it. Fulham looked so shaprness in the second half. It's a big disappointment for Maresca is not doing subs to increase its club creativity. I'd like to see felix to enter the game, but he always sticks to the Palmer.

I know Palmer is important to the club, but it's not something wrong to replace him when he underperform in the second half. It seems to me Maresca is worrying to replace Palmer.

I'm still disappointed how Maresca doesn't try something new, instead of to keep stick with the same pattern. That's not i wanted to see from his club.

Palmer scored in the first half and after that in second half he assisted but goal was cancelled due to var and i think Maresca wanted to keep him on the field to finish the game. But the game ended up going the other way. I knew Fulham is a good team but never expected a comeback against Chelsea and the wierdest thing is Fulham has the same amount of points as Man City

Chelsea tripped on Fulham and didn't even earn a point at home, which would likely cause them to drop to the 3rd place and be overtaken by Arsenal, if the Gunners win against the 19th Ipswich tonight at home, which is very likely.

But has anyone seriously expected that halfway through the season we would see Nottm Forest in third place? They are performing surprisingly well even though their performance is not at the top level i.e. they often get beating from the top clubs (e.g. even Man City in deep crisis beat them 3-0) but they are consistent in scoring 3 points when playing against weaker clubs. Yesterday's victory over Tottenham was their 4th consecutive win in the league.

Another bad game by Man United, they've lost to 17th Wolverhampton (2-0). The red card for Fernandes played a part here, but that's not much of an excuse. They are now getting closer to the relegation zone, being (8th points away from the 18th place) and they have difficult games ahead, against Newcastle and then Liverpool.
Talking about Nottenham Forrest I wasn't expecting them to be in the current position they are now their performance am still surprised about their performance apart from Manchester City beating them  3-0 I think they were able to beat almost all the big boys in the English premier league I believe Nottenham Forrest manager will definitely win best couch of the season if he still continue this way considering the players he is playing with.

The current Manchester United under performance was still cause by their previous couch ETH he busy signing in players that can't fit in the team it will take Amorim more two seasons to be able to fix in Manchester United back again because the previous couch really messed up the whole team and it will difficult for to win their next two games which is against Newcastle and Liverpool respectively and also Fernandes red card yesterday was one of the major reason Manchester United lost to wolves.

Chelsea has been losing points for 2 weeks, their streak was broken in the Everton match but they lost this match at home.
The point difference between them and Liverpool is 7 but Liverpool still has 1 less match.
If Liverpool wins the missing match, they will have 10 points against their closest rival.

Somehow I never considered Chelsea as a real contender for the title, maybe it's just because they lacked consistency in the past seasons and often had a hard time winning when they were expected to. This season looks much better for them but they're still not quite there yet.

Assuming Arsenal wins tonight (chances of that are estimated to be 84% as per google), then the gap between Liverpool and the 2nd place will be 6 points, and if Liverpool wins the outstanding game against Everton (which is not obvious that they will) the gap will be 9 points, not 10 as you mentioned. That's still a lot and will be hard to make up. Unless Liverpool's management messes things up during the transfer window, it doesn't look like they can be stopped from winning the league this season.

Chelsea lost good opportunities to close the gap on Liverpool when they drew against Everton. Fulham has been a good side this season but it never occurred to many football fans that they will beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. The comeback and win by Fulham was unexpected and this has drawn the Blues back behind Liverpool by seven points.

Tottenham has been inconsistent this season, so their loss is not a surprise. The same thing applies to Manchester City, whose recovery is far from sight. Meanwhile, Liverpool is seizing the opportunity to strongly hold the top spot. For now, no club in the Premiership is as strong and consistent as Liverpool and if it continues this way, they might end up becoming the champions.

Tottenham is bad this year, their goalkeeper is very bad, they will continue to concede goals and lose if this continues.

This is only Maresca's second bad match after a very good winning run, so I understand why he doesn't want to change anything, but on the other hand it had to be done against Chelsea. Fulham are a strong team, but I was disappointed with Chelsea's loss as I expected them to win. More expected was Manchester United dropping points, it seems Amorim can't change anything, and Rashford's suspension certainly doesn't help.

Indeed no team is able to catch up with Liverpool now. Chelsea could have kept up with them if they didn't mess up recently. First the draw against Everton and later a home loss against Fulham which was extra disappointing.  Sad  After scoring the first goal, Chelsea were like that was it. Especially the second half went horrible for them. Fulham started to increase the number of goal attempts and the comeback came in the last 10 minutes. Nobody would like to lose this easy.

By the way I re-checked and didn't see any offside on Liverpool's second goal. There were 2 occassions to consider. On the first one I think Leicester number 2 prevents the offside and on the second one number 4 does the same. At least I was able to see it that way.

A good opportunity for Arsenal, they will face a team in the relegation zone which must be utilized as well as possible to get points to be able to overthrow Chelsea from 2nd place.

It is a great opportunity for Arsenal to return to the second position today, but the truth is that Arsenal are unpredictable sometimes. In some matches where you expect them to win, they may later end up with a draw. However, I hope that today, Arteta will avoid coming up with any careless strategies by underestimating Ipswich. If Arsenal underestimates Ipswich, they may later regret it because Ipswich sometimes performs very well.

If Arteta implements the right tactics, this match against Ipswich will be an easy one for Arsenal to win, even with many goals. It is a home game for Arsenal, and honestly, I believe Ipswich will hardly have a chance to beat Arsenal at the Emirates. Even if Arsenal underperforms, it may only result in a draw, but I cannot imagine Ipswich beating Arsenal.

Opportunities to be taken over by Arsenal for the defeat at the end of the match are very large even though Arsenal will not be strengthened by Bukayo Sako. Considering that the team facing Arsenal is IPSWICH, it is certain that on paper Arsenal will win easily in targeting full points.
Chelsea should have been to secure 3 points almost wide open, but in the final minute Rodrigo Muniz made Chelsea opportunities scattered in front of the public itself.

Man City vs Everton 1-1
Chelsea vs Fulham 1-2
Wolves vs Man United 2-0

I'm sure most people will say about yesterday's match results and seeing the favorite team get a defeat and a draw, making bettors feel upset with the results.
Previously I said in another discussion thread that be careful to speculate on the Man City and Chelsea matches. Because these 2 matches will provide a painful surprise. And the result is my worries came true.
While I still avoid MU because in the EPL this team is still very inconsistent. But if in the European league I admit MU can still perform better.
The EPL competition this season is really very interesting.

Chelsea game really surprised many people yesterday because they have what it takes to use home advantage to secure victory from the game, but their coach made wrong arrangements that gave Fulham the opportunity to beat Chelsea 1:2 to secure 3 points from the home of Chelsea. Manchester united have the strength and opportunity to win the game, but the red card made them not to equalized the goals that made them to lose against their opponents 2:0 because there is no how they can survive with 10 players against 11 players in that game, and Manchester united have not strong to that stage yet.

I guess Manchester city Really try in this game to draw with their opponent 1:1 to share the points, than to allow Everton to beat them in their home, which is the reason i said Manchester city tried in this game because they have experienced many losses in some games since this challenges started.

There could be another upset for Arsenal to join in the queue with other unexpected results yesterday, the most unexpected one was Chelsea losing from a winning position after their incredibly run of games only to lose to local rival.
All the teams that have given Arsenal problems this season have not only stopped with Arsenal but extended their problems to other big teams. Bournemouth, Everton, and most recently Fulham on Chelsea. I am sure no one expect that Chelsea to lose that game yesterday against fulham but they did. Liverpool is really in a good position considering that they also have some of their injured players returning back to the team to booster the team and also in the transfer season they will have an opportunity to reinforce those places in the team where they think they're lacking. But currently with the presents Liverpool team they are capable of willing the premier league because they have experienced players in the team in all areas who have done it before.

Ipswich are a very unpredicted team, not very good at the back but do know how to score a goal.
