Manchester City will be the big favorites to go to Leicester, but I think there could be a surprise result in the match.

Nistelrooy is a coach who wants to prove himself as a manager and City is in very poor form. It wouldn't be a surprise to expect a loss of points from this match.
There are quite a few injured players in both teams.
We'll wait and see if this could be a breakout match for City.

The criticism against Ruben Amorim should stop. He has squad, that looks ridiculous. Almost half of Manchester United's players should be sold or sacked. Rashford, Fernandes, Eriksen, Antoni, Zirkzee, etc. The list goes on and on. I know that Amorim doesn't have any experience in the English football and the Premier League is way different than the Portuguese league, but the United fans have to be patient. It seems that nobody could stop Liverpool from winning the Premier League and the battle for the second place between Chelsea and Arsenal is going to be furious. City and United are going to be the two big failures and the laughing stock of the Premier League, but I'm sure that they will get out of the crisis, sooner or later.

Criticism is a must, and it's a part of fan's right. Mostly of criticism even came from Manchester United's supporters itself, and it's a common thing. They watched United and paid it with their money, and how can you dictate them?

In fact, their favorite team is awful to watch, placed at the bottom, and nothing delivered so far. Also, United has increased the price of its ticket as well. I see no reason for them to stop send criticism toward Amorim and his squad.

So many big expectation for him, yet they forgot Amorim came from a league with less competition. All of elements should be blamed, and they deserved it.

Of course, who even doubts about that?  Grin  Jokes aside, I would never bet on Manchester City these days. Like NEVER. I still gave them a couple of chances before but they failed in all cases. Their win isn't reliable for now no matter who they play against.

Yeah even against Leicester... I don't want to underestimate Leicester but you know how much they struggle this season. However even they seem quite dangerous against this version of Manchester City. Guardiola still can't do anything about this vulnerability.

I will try not to miss the West Ham - Liverpool game as well. It must have been quite a long time since we last saw Liverpool losing 3 points. The way they play makes me watch all of their games as much as possible. Salah is just incredible too.  Roll Eyes

If they will be patient with Amorim, there is no doubt it will be fine with the team but you should understand that Manchester United fans have gone through a lot this season so the expectation is that  the coming of Ruben Amorim will change the situation completely but instead of that to happen, it seems Manchester United is situation remains the same as they were during the time of Erik Ten Hag. I won't say that change of coach failed them because Amorim is relatively new in the team and deserve more time to prove himself.
I think Amorim needs to be given a little more time to adapt and the club management should allocate a budget for player shopping in this transfer market. Of course it is difficult for Amorim to implement his tactics if the players United have do not match the type he wants. Amorim is a coach who can utilize existing resources but in some situations I think to see the maximum capacity of Amorim the club management needs to give Amorim the opportunity to shop for players. So far Amorim's performance has been quite poor. Despite winning over City, Manchester United lost to other teams such as Wolves and AFC Bournemouth.

Amorim position will at least be safe until the end of the season as Man United top brass have high hopes for him based on his success in handling Sporting CP. It must be admitted that Man United has not shown any improvement in performance since his arrival, but the club's top brass will try to provide adequate facilities for him to make changes in the second half of this season. Maybe after doing big activities in the January transfer market, Man United will make a difference from before.

Let's discuss the premier league session 2023/2024 on this thread.

Open for everyone.

@blue Snow did the image just exclude the Manchester Clubs? I’m surprised because I thought that they would be included in the promotions. Furthermore City will definitely start as the favourites but Arsenal will definitely push them and while I thought that this would be Manchester United’s season but now I feel that the takeover saga is derailing their transfer plan’s and at this rate it might be too late to get Ten Hag desired targets which will definitely have a negative effect for the club as the season continues.
I don't know the reason behind the use of this picture for advertisement but I don't think it was a good one. How can the EPL run a promotion without including the reigning champions of England? Manchester City's current struggles shouldn't be the reason why they should be disrespected.
That said, the English Premier League this season have been surprising to many of us who had different predictions of how the league table will look like by Christmas. Manchester City if you ask me have been the biggest clown so far while Nottingham Forest have been the dark horse of the league this season

I have been reading a lot of criticism of Amorim tactics, Manchester United fans should be patient and try to forge a new path with this manager. Mikel Arteta wasn’t that great in the beginning but he’s now of the top managers in the Premier League. If Amorim is to succeed at Manchester United, he has be assured of the una wavering support of the fans and club management. When Amorim has signed his preferred choice of players, then we can start to expect him to succeed at the club. The previous manager, Erik ten Hag was a menace who almost ruined the club. He spent so much money to bring his former players to the club and they all flopped. I want to believe that Amorim will be better than his predecessor.
Actually in this case it does not matter when we just have to wait for what Amorim will do especially since he is still relatively new to the EPL and obviously there is still a lot of time needed for adaptation but for now it seems that when a wave of poor performance occurs it will have an impact on the reaction that occurs considering the fans will want to see something new with what United is doing to improve its current position.

I think for now Amorim only has to try to improve Mancechster United's position a little bit so that it looks comfortable unlike now it is still tolerable but when the situation does not change much then it is clear that there will be a lot of demands even though they know that changing a club that is already chaotic like Mancehster United takes time.

They're 14th in the table and only 8 points clear of Leicester in the relegation zone so it's only fair that there's more pressure on Amorim at the moment.

Amorim will only try the best he can to make sure that Manchester United is not relegated because he met the team at a very critical situation what Manchester United is facing now is as a result of ETH wrong signing, ETH never signed any better players so it will take Amorim more time to fix back Manchester United if only his is given more time though his performance from February will determine if he will actually do well or not because I believe he will sign in some players during the transfer window.

Honestly there will be more pressure on Amorim expecially the one that will come from Manchester United fans because what the fans wants now is immediate improvement which is not even coming, what Manchester United needs now is good signing if the couch will be able to bring in some quality players to the team we will definitely see Manchester United performing better again.

This is what we all thought about city at first but everyones expectations of them crashed, this is probably the worst football season for man city because they haven't been so low on the league table. Arsenal on the  other hand is far better than them and their performance has been outstanding but they lack consistency. Manchester united are also in terrible form like man city and it seems they keep getting worse in every game. Premier league as a whole is quite complicated and unpredictable, this is why as a gambler that's into sports betting I don't bother picking games from this league.

More rumors about Paul Pogba joining Brazil team.
As I told to you months his carrer in Europe was over after 3 years of inactivity at max level.

Zirkzee can leave Mancester United, Juventus is interested.
Osimhen can join Manchester United and they can sell Zirkee to Napoli for having a discount in the deal.

It will be the negotation of the winter's session.

Paul Pogba to Brazilian league? His football way higher that that trust me. I'm of the opinion that he has what it takes to play in a to0 European club. Will he be seen as bad example by other players in the dressing room?

They should let go of both Joshua Zirkzee and Marcus Rashford.
I love the idea of Victor Osimhen to Manchester United,  he is a non stop fighter and a clinical goalscorer who Will definitely succeed in the premier league.

I honestly have to say that Manchester City seems to have unresolved internal problems rather than just losing some important players, I mean about some problems that are not exposed to the media, while the players know about it.

Yesterday, press reports revealed that Juventus rejected an offer from Manchester United to sign its player Marcus Rashford during the next winter transfers. It was not surprising that Juventus rejected the offer. Because despite Rashford being offered to many clubs, including Barcelona, the value of the deal, in addition to his salary of 350 thousand pounds per week, constitute a major obstacle to his departure from the team. Marcus Rashford, who was absent from the last four matches due to problems with his technical manager, could have had an impact in those matches, all of which Manchester United lost with disastrous results. With the team's current situation, it will get worse if its financial crisis forces it to lose its best players. At the same time, there is no news about possible new signings or about the club's management's future plans to improve the team's overall performance.

Indeed any team who would be willing to sign him would have to consider his salary, a player paid such amount should be able to play brilliantly with enough goal records especially in his las 10 games. No team would want to buy a player who is still working on himself for that amount and expect to pay him with such huge amount per week. In my opinion the pay of Marcus Rashford is over rated compared to his performance, though his has in time passed helped Manchester United to achieve a few celebrations including the FA cup of last season against Manchester City but his pay is way too much. Maybe his new club would consider reducing it a little bit.

But, this season is the worst season for Manchester United, they never went to 14th rank since the last 15 years, although technically it's correct to say we need to give time for Amorim, but if he brought Manchester United to enter relegation zone, I'm sure people will ask The Glazers to fire him.
Manchester United's performance has been so poor, it’s just surprising to see Manchester United in 14th position, even after changing coach, there is no improvement in Manchester United’s performance, but from the way Manchester United is playing currently, I am not blaming the coach for their poor performance, I am blaming the players. I don’t know if some players are just too old to play for the team, or maybe they are having other reasons for performing poorly.

The January transfer window will soon be open, and if Amorim doesn’t sign new players, then people are going to start blaming him, he will have to make sure he sells most of the players that Ten Hag signed, because it’s just like Manchester United wasted money on those players, and they won’t be able to sell them at a good price. Amorim will have to flush those players out and sign quality players who can play the pattern that he wants.

I know Manchester United won’t be relegated, but it’s just a shame to see Manchester United in 14th position. United are not supposed to be at that position, and if Amorim doesn’t find a solution to Manchester United’s problem as soon as possible, then they are going to maintain that position.

It will be a big shame if Manchester United playing in Championship, Amorim must sign players who can perform.

I will say this confidently that Manchester United wouldn’t relegate, they are just six points away from the top 8 and this is just half the season so I believe they will get more points before the season ends and finish in the top half of the table. This is Ruben Amorim first few games, Ten Hag had a bad start and as able to correct it and at least take them into the top half of the league. But let’s say they relegate I think it will be one of the wonders in the current decade. Will Manchester United get rid of Amorim after then, I doubt because it will be expensive to do so due to the huge contract offered to him
It seems they won't be relegated, but it's a shameful result if they finish below 10th positions. They have wasted a more than 500 millions for nothing.

If Amorim keeps get bad result, we may see him to be sacked before the end of season. He's under pressure, and yeah, it's his consequence to manage one of hardest team in the world.

I wonder how much longer Manchester City will continue like this. Their downfall has been a really sharp one so far. If I'm not wrong they only won against Nottingham in their last 13 matches. It is like a nightmare season for Guardiola. Being charged with 130 breaches and this terrible form are all happening at the same time. If Guardiola finds a way to save this team from this swamp soon then I will start respecting him much more. Smiley

Liverpool are having one of their most consistent seasons in the recent years. It would be a dream start for Arne Slot if he manages to win the Premier League championship. He has only 2 Dutch championships in his career so far.

Where this is worrying to many is the fact that these draws and losses have been happening consecutively, match after match strange of it kind since Guardiola took charge of City or if not for the entire history of Manchester City as a club. Have kept a good record by dominating the Premier League and winning the Champions League and other trophies, now kind of messing up his reputation with the current state of Manchester City being humiliated in most of their game from Premier League competition to European competitions.

It is very clear that the fault lies with the old players left by Ten Hag, If Amorim dares to improve then there will be changes in the Man United squad from the way they play, because the players left by Ten Hag still apply the tactical game given by Ten Hag and not Amorim, this is where the mistake that occurred in the Man United squad, The transfer market will come, hopefully Amorim can buy players who fit his playing style, I agree with you if the management keeps Ten Hag then we will see the destruction of the Man United squad, fortunately the management realizes that to fire him, If left alone then what you said will happen in the Man United squad, I also hope that with Amorim can bring Man United to its time because I really miss Man United in the Alex Ferguson era even though it is difficult to repeat at least in Amorim's hands Man United can return to its golden era.
