I think it was a fair call to see what he could do with some changes to the club and to fix the mediocre culture. But this season has shown that Ten Hag wasn't able to change, and so, he deserved to be sacked by the club. Hopefully, they get the right coach to replace him.

Remove Southgate from the list because I don't think he will make a good replacement of Ten Hang. Manchester united currently need someone that will bring attacking football back to the team because that is how they have been playing before until lately that things changed for bad. I know it will take whoever they bring in as a new couch a couple of times to fix the mess. Amorim will not be bad tracing his records back to Sporting. At Sporting, he stamped his philosophy and built a legacy making the club better and beat the likes of Porto and Benfica. He achieved this building the team from foundation. In my personal opinion, it seems that the club management gave Ten Hag time because he managed to win the FA Cup. There were many news and demands from fans to fire Ten Hag in the previous season. But surprisingly, Ten Hag managed to give United the FA Cup title and made them qualify for the UEL even though they were in 8th place in the standings. So the club management was still kind and patient and gave Ten Hag a chance to improve his performance this season. And unfortunately he failed to meet the club's expectations. United still gave Ten Hag a budget to shop for players but unfortunately the team's performance was still bad. I think this is not a late decision because they have only played in 9 matches.
