I think there is a bit of fantasy out there among you guys.

Give it a few more weeks we will see the traditional table taking shape.

More interesting to me is the teams who are completely failing, what's going to happen to them?

Is there any chance to recover, there looks to be a race to the bottom. :/

I don't remember a team losing both of their starting centre-backs for the whole season and I've been following football for a while.

Liverpool currently have VVD and Gomez out for a longer period, Alexander-Arnold out for a month and Fabinho still returning from injury.

I wonder who will play at the back now - if fit, it will be Fabinho and Matip. But this really puts a dent in our title challenge.

Right before the break due to these nations league games the table looks like this:
~
Never would of thought the team on top of the table would be Leicester city and Tottenham and Southampton in the top 5.
Just hope not more players get injured during these games until the Premier league starts back up on the 21st again. Undecided

As I have said so often already, this season is completely open. Corona mixes the cards. Basically half teams of the league have the chance to win the championships this season. We have seen so many surpises already and we will see many more surprises. Not only in the Premier League but also in the Champions Leauge.
Most of the major premier league teams are struggling to fight for this championship and it's a big surprise that the bottom half have started to show their good performance, Leicester were able to survive last season and now will he be a trophy this season?

I still doubt Mancity and Liverpool to be at the top of their defeat also make a lot of fans disappointed because a few mistakes can cause them to fall, I see LaLiga, the premier league, UCL are the same if you pay attention.
The problem with Leicester is that they lack consistency towards the end of EPL, last season was a good example, they flopped in a bid to qualify for top four and UCL, more so they don't have a depth squad that can challenge or match other top teams for EPL trophy, if James vardy is injured their will become weak.
It quite interesting to see teams who are usually underperformers making top 10 in EPL
Liverpool and Man City will improve and probably battle for the trophy once they pick form I couldn't see any other team that give them run of their money this season.

The table reminds me about the strange season when Ranieri and Leicester City won the Premier League. In that season, when the first half ended, there were very little people thought Leicester City could win the trophy because they thought Leicester City would not be able to maintain their forms in the second half and the bad record of Ranieri (never be a champions in his career).

They broke their limits and broke their bad histories and won the trophy. I think in the season, we need more matches and the competition will look better after the first half ends around the Giving Days.

If you look at Leicester's performance this season which is quite good, it looks like there is a possibility that Leicester can become
the Premier League champion again. We remember the Premier League season 2015/2016, no one thought Ranieri could make
Leicester win. Even Dimitar Berbatov, the former Manchester United striker, predicts that this season's Premier League champion
may not be from the superior team.

@MCobian whichever team wants to win the premier league title will have to splash the cash in the January transfer window and strengthen themselves, because we all know that Liverpool need a direct replacement for the injured Van Dijk in the January window.

Furthermore Tottenham are looking to resign Eriksen (surprise transfer), and Leicester is targeting to get Florian Thauvin to boost their title credentials.

Lastly what may work against Leicester and Tottenham is that their player’s may get exhausted in the long run because of playing in the Europa league, and that’s something one must consider before believing that they can win the league title.

This is a no brainer move by Spurs, they could either buy him out, or talk with Madrid about just paying for his salary and wouldn't buy him out, Madrid would be losing on a huge transfer fee in that situation but they would also not be paying any salary at all so it could work well for Madrid as well.

On the other side of the deal Spurs would finally get a player to pair with Son, even though they had some great players before, none of them were as good as peak Bale, when Bale was in peak form he was one of the best players in the entire world, to have him right now and try to build him up back again to how he was, Spurs could actually get a superstar that could make Spurs top three team in the league. It all depends on the deal between Madrid and Spurs and also about if Bale would get back on form.

However, there's chance that Tottenham wont be among clubs that will fall away during the mid of this season through the end cause they are planning to get a player that will somehow help the team

Who would that player be? Somehow there is rumours that Tottenham might try to get Bale on permanent transfer and if they do then they will spend a fortune for him. Bale could be a good choice but only if he could keep up with the premier league pace but from what I've seen, he is no longer the same beast as few years ago
Mourinho sees Gareth Bale as the perfect choice and with what I read it no longer a rumor Mourinho seems to be concerned about the player conditions in Wales at the Nations League.
Bale is no longer the same beast in the field of play as you said but he's gaining back his fitness and with someone like Mourinho he could be the beast he once was.

Oh boy, Joe Gomez (Liverpool) got injured during training before the dumb friendly against Ireland tomorrow  Sad

https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/54897833

wtf is the point of a mid week friendly if they have Nations League on the weekend and next week? Also, what are Liverpool's possible CB signings in January? any rumours? Upamecano? Koulibaly?

It looks as if Liverpool are slowly but surely running out of fit centre-backs after Joe Gomez suffered an injury now, too  Shocked Any updates yet how bad it is? Knee injury always sounds bad ...  After VVD and Fabinho won't be available eiter, who's Klopp gonna put up in the defense?! If you want to see something positive in all this, Klopp probably will be giving some young talents the chance to show what they can now.

But yeah ... Liverpool really has some terrible luck with injuries so far this season.  Undecided

Oh his goals was undoubtedly beautiful, but hey! It is a history now.
There is so much better players than Bale in Premier League now, I think it is better to focus on them

People seem to forget he scored two great goals in the CL final and the overhead kick is probably one of the greatest CL final goals ever scored if not the greatest. He really has been treated unfairly at Madrid but hopefully the Spurs fans will give him the respect he deserves.
Zidane admitted that the volley (overhead) goal of Bale is the best in Champions League or in Champions League final matches. He admitted it in press conference but I never foget the emotion of Zidane when Bale scored it. It is unbelievable goal and Zidane was supremely surprised too. Zidane has more time and space than what Bale has.

Some fabulous volley goals:

Real Madrid (not only Zidane but includes fans and the board) treated badly and ugly with Bale. He deserves more respect from them. The appearance of Bale helped Ronaldo a lot and they together with Benzema helped Real Madrid beats Barcelona and came back with trophies in Champions League.

In Spurs, Bale looks happy and with the belief from Mourinho and his training he can come back.

Bale has nothing else to prove to zidane and the ungrateful Madristas his mission in real madrid was completed two years ago he single handedly gave them a Champions league and Copa deray and worth every penny he was bought with I want him to stay with spur the club made him so I believe it's time to give back to the spur fans

The guy scored in how many CL Finals, two? Plus he scored in the penalty shootout against Aletico so you could say 3. I don’t understand the animosity towards him by Real, at another club he would be an absolute hero.

Zidane should give him some more opportunities. I think Bale should be as hard working as cr7. Only through hard work can he change his position.
I think there are 2 things that made Bale let go of Real Madrid in the previous transfer market,
1. His performance currently down (as we already know)
2. His salary problem at Madrid (we know after Covid the team must start thinking about the best way for efficiency)

For these two reasons, I think it is enough for Real Madrid to make a decision to accept loan offer from Spurs. Regarding the return, we have to wait for the end of the season, but the chances i think still 50:50 atm.

There's no way he's going back to Real that's for sure.
Unless Zidane is no longer the manager of the team and Bale overall performance dropping with spurs.

Can't see Zidane going anywhere anytime soon, and it's not just Zidane but the fans who have unfairly seemed to dislike him for a long time and for no good reason.

so they might as well try recoup some of the ludicrous wages they're paying him to keep the bench warm or play golf.
Let me fix it h&co: "keep the bench warm while trolling and mocking his teammates or playing golf".
His attitude was rude but Real Madrid was in fault too... Hope he can find his skills again in soccer and not forgetting how to play golf at the same time --->Roll Eyes<---

I think he had every right to be frustrated or give the attitude he did. It could have been much worse. It was quite lighthearted really.

Without Bale, Real Madrid would have not won 2 Champions league trophies and Zizou would have not gotten his 3 trophies in a row and become the first manager did it in Champions League.

I don't think Bale was detrimental to them winning it bit he sure did help. People seem to forget he scored two great goals in the CL final and the overhead kick is probably one of the greatest CL final goals ever scored if not the greatest. He really has been treated unfairly at Madrid but hopefully the Spurs fans will give him the respect he deserves.

It's still too early to be talking about the permanent Bale deal. He played only a few games, looked better than I expected but the teams he played against were mostly bottom-table PL clubs and some barely known European teams.

I assume that Spurs will go for him, but if they do both him and Real will have to settle for less than expected. Levy is one of the toughest negotiators and with both Moura and Bergwijn already at the club he will either get him on the cheap or not at all.
