For Liverpool to get robbed of the title this season would be one of biggest injustices in the sport. I really hope the league is just delayed and all the games will play out at later date. Winning at the green table is not the same.

Though Liverpool only need 6 more points to get the title and they have to postpone their dreams because of this virus so that all matches will be postponed according to what is scheduled by the organizer.

This is the worst game I have ever seen because the whole is not just the EPL, it is really boring.

I’m pretty certain the league will get finished, let’s see where we are on April 4. China got it under control so hopefully it’ll be the same in the UK.

Of course anyone objective knows that, but that wouldn't stop their opponents making fun of that title. And I believe tomahawk9 has forgot about united fans who would also have something to say about that Smiley
That's just football fans being football fans, they will always have holier-than-thou approach.  Presented dilemma was declaring  season void or making Liverpool champion. And for me that's no dilemma at all. But i somehow doubt that it will come to that.

That would be the  best solution indeed. They could even schedule those 9 games that are left in 1 month period sometimes in the summer,  and be done with it. Especially since EURO will be most likely postponed/cancelled, so summer might be free.

Here is one pic i find  fascinating, in regards how England continued with football even in toughest times. It is from the football match between Charlton Athletic and Arsenal in 1940, for the ongoing Wartime League (substitute for English Football League that was suspended from 1939-1946). They had spotter, who was watching out for German air raids.

No football means time to talk and discuss some controversies..anyone up for this? I'll start:
Liverpool fans, what would you choose?

- "Winning" the title this way and have your rivals tell you, until the end of times, that it is a tainted title? (you know The Toffees and the Citizens are preparing the chants).

- Not "winning" it at all and accept the FA's decision of voiding this season (it could happen, you never know)? This one means all the records will go down the drain, but at least your rivals won't make fun of you for the next 100 years.
I am not some huge Liverpool fan, but I don't see any dillema here, as no one in their right mind would call it "tainted title" in case EPL ends and title goes to Liverpool. And who cares what some ignorant fans think anyway. I know I wouldn't. Everyone knows that Liverpool would win it anyway.

What do you guys think of the Herd immunity and the likely strategy of England government to help the community has a widely immunized condition, if you live in England?
https://www.theguardian.com/world/live/2020/mar/14/coronavirus-live-updates-uk-us-australia-italy-europe-school-shutdown-sport-events-cancelled-latest-update-news

Do you agree with it? And do you think it is too risky or dangerous for your communities?
Which one do you support (herd immunity or social distancing)?

The world is not ending. Let's assume that the whole (100%) of the world population will be infected with the virus (that will likely not), there will be only 1 to 4 percent of them will die. Of course, I do agree that the total death tolls will be high, but positively we know not all of infected victims will end with deaths.

The numbers of recovered victims are dominant compare to deaths. The more healthy and strong guys will be infected then recovered well, the higher chances to be protected for the elderly (if they won't get infected too soon in the pandemic). That's what the world might have, a herd immunity, from massive infections or from vaccines (that we won't have in the near future).

There is no denying the fact that Liverpool already have won the league, scrapping the whole season would surely be an absurd call to make by the FA, so would organizing a play-off among the top four on in the league as being suggested in other leagues, even though the later seem only a whisker fairer than the later. To be honest, there is no way to end the season that would make sense or seem fair to all parties involved except playing all remaining matches, which i strongly hope would be the case.

It's not just for the premier league either. There are problems for all leagues. There is a Euro 2020 tournament to be played in the summer. And Europe is having troubled days.
Deciding for the UK may not be very difficult. Liverpool already had a very good season and I think they deserve the title this year. The condition of the games will be a bit troubled until the end of the season this year. Footballers may not be able to concentrate on the matches with health concerns.
You are right. Deciding to give Liverpool the trophy is things turned out worse wouldn't be a very hard decision because of the point gap. The challenge is in other leagues like La Liga where the point gap between the first and second is just 2 points.

If we have to choose between getting crowned as PL title winners and what Manchester city and Everton fans would think, It'll be the first. I mean, who cares what some fans thinks? We don't. Everyone knows for a fact that Liverpool needs just 2 more wins to clinch the title (assuming Manchester city doesn't lose any points in their next couple of games). If the entire season gets voided, It'll be unfair and unjust.

So on behalf of other Liverpool fans, I want to say that we'll gladly accept the Premier league if it gets to the point of choosing between the title and a voided season 😉.

Most probably after 5 or 6 weeks all will be ok but problem is what will happen as we still have 9 or 10 matches in every league and next schedule is also very tight so how will they manage this all in hot summer days players will not happy with this all.
The players surely have a busy time after things going back to normal but mind it that this people are professional and this is their job so most of them will not have much problem with it.

To be honest, i didn't see many people asking for season to be declared void. That delusional West Ham vice-chairman  Karren Brady doesn't count, as she wants that only because West ham could be relegated if season continues.
I am on the same page as you. There are no way that the season will be void. We already had 29 successful round out of 38 and only 9 rounds left. So yes, there will be no voiding.

@Toma, Toke, snipie I think we are overthinking about this season title things. Liverpool is the season winner even if there are no matches we see in this EPL which is unlikely though. I am sure after few weeks everything will go back to normal.

If I am not wrong then Liverpool just need two more goals for having the title officially. So, we are good.

I wanted to gamble this Saturday but I saw almost every game in Europe postponed so I ended up playing Ice Hockey.A few of the players of Leicester were positive and the first ever player was a Chelsea player in London. This virus Covid 19 has moved its headquarters from China to Europe and I think we should stay isolated and do our best following the rules.

It seems itchy if I don't gamble in a week and this week there really isn't a match so I think I should enjoy at home first to prevent from the Covid-19.
To be honest I don't know the Ice Hockey game but I will still wait for the match to start even though I thought that April will be reopened in that match.
It seems like all sports games will start in April, hopefully we will be fine until April.

it is a strange feeling to arrive at the weekend and not being able to watch a soccer game or not being able to do any analysis of any soccer game. I wonder how long will this situation continue? If we are in the month of Marco and from what I see the virus contamination is in its initial stage, probably in the next two months (that would be April and May) we will have a worse scenario  and I am not seeing in June things return to normal, will be that Will games return in August or September? because I doubt they will be back in June and July

There is no way this suspension is not coming back, it will definitely come back and we will definitely see sports this year once again. I am not talking about just premier league but all the leagues and all the sports coming back. It may take some time, we may even see sports going as late as June and maybe even early July as ending for some of them (like NBA playoffs and finals) but we will definitely see it back. The trouble will not be the season ones, the trouble is the summer ones.

The euro 2020's and Olympics and stuff like that which normally suppose to happen this summer may get postponed, or maybe just stay the way it is but just reach to a late august/ early September levels to make it work. I don't know how it will happen but I doubt there will be cancellation, just a postponing.

I see a number of leagues in the world temporarily postponed and there is no match schedule this week until it continues until conditions really improve, for EURO 2020 I also do not know whether this title will be postponed too or will continue because there is no decision on EURO 2020 whereas in Europe this epidemic continues to spread.

Unfortunately this week there is no champions league, even though there are many major matches here.
As current situation is going I am feeling we will not able to have any match until April because many new cases appearing in many European and other countries even many players also have positive tests so no one going to take any risk expanding season is also not good option now just wait and watch what we will have for future.

Yes, at least we will wait until April to wait for the latest decision, for players who test positive for Covid-19, hopefully get well soon until April so that if the ball is not delayed again the positive players will recover with enough time, but the fans are also a little disappointed because there is no match for more than a month so they will wait for more membonsan right at home especially now in Europe the streets start to look lonely after I saw in some news maybe their activities will be hampered?

Personally, it seems to me that there is little chance of the championship ending at all, since we are far from the peak of the epidemic.
Some compromise decisions will have to be made such as the playoffs for key championship positions.
The only other realistic option might be to have the championship played over the summer when it was supposed to be the European Football Championship, which is almost certainly not going to take place.

^  What do you mean by veto?  If vote against the scrapping of the season then yup.  But if you're saying they'll be for the scrapping of the 2019/20 season...  Nope.  They'll gain absolutely nothing out of it.
