I really hope it all dies away in the next 4-6 weeks. I waited my whole life to see my team win the title, it’ll be so cruel if they stop the season without us becoming champions.

Is your team Liverpool? If it is even though they haven't won the championship Liverpool have won the Champions League trophy for 6 times now and I think for a fan that is a much better thing to have for team to win it, I personally don't even care even if my team isn't a league winner as long as they have won the Champions League and they are placed to qualify for the UCL next season. As for the pandemic dying down in 4-6 weeks, I doubt that is possible as from what I have seen in the news there was an increase around 100,000 new confirmed cases in just a span of 4 days so that is really not a sign that the virus is slowing down, some of the sporting events like the Tokyo Olympics are even postponed to 2021 which just show that this pandemic might not be solve fast.

Liverpool is my team bro, yes. I was lucky enough to go to the last two CL Finals (one ended up better for me than the other Wink).

The CL is the best competition to win, I agree but I really want to see us win the title. I hope the PL can resume maybe in late May.

Antonio Rudiger spoke of the increasingly virulent corona virus pandemic in Europe.  The German player believes football is no longer important at this time, especially to discuss when the resumption of the English Premier League.

Football in Europe has been postponed due to a corona virus outbreak, including one from the English Premier League.  There are 417,947 corona cases in the world and 18,602 deaths.  According to Rudiger, stopping spread now is more important than thinking about when the Premier League will continue.

^  Last info I heard was the FA saying the EPL would be back prolly around end of April.  And some guy from Southampton saying that it could be before that even.  I'm hopeful for either one...  I miss football.

Not even in our widest dream, I strongly think Premier League by April can only be a fantasy, even if there is an actual cure or vaccine to prevent its infection, it's still going to take well more than a month before things to will back to near normalcy.

Yes its surely not going to happen in April may be we will have in second or third week of May which is also highly risky because until now we have no good news in Europe for Corona and its already creating very serious problems for Italy France England and Switzerland which is not good.
It all depends on how Citizens comply with the Lockdowns and quarantine measures. Looking at how China have fought hard in the last 2 months and now the number of new cases is actually dropping. Other Countries could  also trying borrowing a leaf from China and in the coming months the threat could be minimized.

Yeah, there has been some talks about the drugs that recover it, if we can actually get our hands on something that makes sure that sick gets healthier, that would basically stop this. I know you feel like infection is the worst thing but the "not realizing when you are sick and almost dying" part is the real scary part, if every person on earth have a chance to actually heal from this virus, there is no reason to be worried about it after that.

You can go outside, do whatever you want to do, if you get sick just get a drug that cures it and live comfortably without worrying about it. But, that is not how it is right now, if you go out and live carefree, you may DIE! That is how serious it is right now and that is why a treatment is direly needed for it.

Isnt that depends on how the COVID19 spread? It could be the end of the season right now if it keeps spreading. No player will be willing to play in a place where all those virus has been spreading widely

I think we would all cheer that if this was to become the truth.I am not optimistic though by seeing the situation with England Prime Minister announcing yesterday night that all non critical activities like bars, restaurants and pubs will all be closed for a certain time. This does not leave a lot to hope for about Premiership being back before end of April.

I don't think so...
We need at least 2 months in order to see if the condition would be stabilized. And the UK is still on its early stages of the virus. We are going to wait some time in order to see if the condition is stabilized.

My weekends were always exciting coz I know I am going to watch my team is playing but last weekend was boring, no football - nothing. Yes, I did watch some movies even last evening too but that does not give the excitements you get from a live match.

I hope by the end of April we see every thing back to normal.

Atleast I am little bit crazy about esports so kinda spending day watching the league going on. So am still ok. Wonder how worst would have been if I didn't had any interest in esports.

Still feel a little boring watching the same kind of sports but atleast there is something entertaining still going on in world for me.

I also feel that situation will be much better in 2nd-3rd week of April. Hope we recover quickly and we can resume with the season again soon.

Nobody is wanting this season to get cancelled especially Liverpool Cheesy. Also there is lot of crucial matches yet to play for the CL spots and we have close gaps in those slots as well so as long as there is any hope -even if it is slim I think it's worth more rather than taking decision which displeases most of the fans and players.
The next scheduled match is on 3rd or 4th April and the way the things are moving in the world I do not think we will see any match in the next two weeks. No one knows yet if we will see the remaining matches of this season but Liverpool really had a chance to earn 100+ point from one season.

According to some reports from China, a drug was good for regressing the disease. This may be a glimmer of hope. If this drug is successful, life may return to normal in a short time. This means that leagues can be completed even if it hangs in the summer months.
We need to have more solid proof of efficacy from RCT researches (Randomized controlled trials) before we can apply any drug or vaccines on massive scales. Without medical solid proofs (from RCT), any likely good results from observations and reports from observational researches have to be taken into consideration very very carefully.

The championship in the English premier league is almost certain now. But there was great competition in some other leagues. Therefore, it would not be good to suspend the leagues completely.
Now, the whole England has been under half-lockdown, for the first serious condition since the World War II. It is a necessary step towards the better future, not only for the Premier League but also for the whole people and communities in England, and generally in Europe.

I still think cancelling the whole league will happen, but as long as we can come back in any time this summer or early spring, we could just squeeze in games with 3 games a week and still get back to regular schedule eventually.
I actually think otherwise, because some major events have announced that they will be postponed until next year so that the entire league can finish the rest of their matches, but we need wait until April or May what will happen next to this pandemic.

English Premier League became one of the competitions that received high attention related to the current situation.  The FA (English Football Association) has taken the decision to extend the postponement of all competitions in the country until April 30.  The delay can be extended depending on conditions in the UK along with the increasing number of reported cases and fatalities related to the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
It will be longer if England's condition is still unstable especially if there are many victims because of Covid-19, football throughout the world is now extinguished because the plague cannot believe if this will continue for long there may be a lot of bankruptcy that will be experienced by the club itself.

But Covid-19 in Britain is not as severe as in Italy in reports from the news that in Italy one day could reach 700 deaths a day due to Covid-19.

This is just for now.In Italy started out as a little isolated case with a bunch of people being infected in a small city in the north of Italy and because of Italy not caring much and taking things not too seriously the covid expanded greatly to even make the full country as a red zone.If England does not take measures it will most probably end up like Italy.
