United HAVE TO win the game against chelsea, I mean surely chelsea would want to win every game but they are 4 points ahead of spurs whereas United is literally under sheffield at this point, I am not expecting sheffield to keep that spot up but United do not have literally 1 point to spare from now on, they have to do whatever they can and play as well as they can to stay in top 5 if they ever want to see european tourney, if not they are going to stay out of it yet again. It is a weird season where either United or Spurs will be out probably, nobody really expected them to be so bad before the season started, I assume its due to them not having a good form early in the season that hurt their chances the most.

Chelsea next 3 meetings:

1) Chelsea vs Man Utd. (EPL)
2) Chelsea vs Spurs. (EPL)

Tough couple of fixtures. Man Utd would still want to maintain bragging rights. Mourinho on the other hand won't want to be beaten again by someone he was coached and mentored. So at best, A Chelsea draw. otherwise, a Spurs win.  I'm not that sure of Bayern these days. Their performance has been mediocre and lacklustre.

As a Manchester United fan I love this fixture a lot, and I hope that Ole and his boys can beat Chelsea again as they had beaten them comfortably when the season had started. It’ll also be interesting to see Jose vs Lampard once again and if I know Jose well he’ll do everything to beat Lampard, and secure the top 4 spot for Tottenham.

Chelsea are a formidable opponent Manchester United are not so easy to fight against if they are playing away nor is it so that with Ole to work on his team the more solitary it will be difficult.
And Lampard is still under Jose Mou so it could happen Chelsea will be displaced in the next few weeks, Jose Mou has the determination to advance to position 4.

As they managed to win a strong opponent such as Manchester City I think that they are not going to have any problem against Chelsea or Liverpool.

Did you see how spurs play against City? They're basically a copycat of MU under Mou. Sit in deep and try to counter with the pace of their forward. They win against City because City loses a player from the red card. Even after that, Spurs aren't attacking and still look for the counter.

It's too early to say anything but the fact that their form on the league is not as consistent as the top 4 shows they're still not that good.

They have a team that can face equally every other team. Liverpool is on top form but FA cup is just one game and everything can happen.
And often LFC plays with their second-tier players in almost every FA Cup match this season, so it's true the chances are great to beat LFC or Chelsea in FA Cup.
Don't forget about Champion League next season I don't think Mou will stop struggling to get the ticket.

Wow, so happy for my team! I have to be brutally honest to say Spurs were not the better team in the past two games and yet somehow we managed to win. First against City in the EPL and now against Southampton last night in FA cup.

Mourinho loves these cup games so I hope he can somehow find a way to take us through to Champions League. Another final too much to ask for?Wink

I haven't seen a Spurs fan in the forum for a while.
Hopefully, Tottenham is going to reach at least the FA cup final. They are a team that can do so and Mourinho is the special one on those games.
Now spurs going to face Norwich so its much easy match and they will be in quarter final look like they can reach in last four easily then we can face some tough challenge as all big guns in competition big match is Chelsea vs Liverpool.

Mourinho should endeavor to win a trophy. The premier league is clearly out of their reach. Maybe FA Cup?
But to be more realistic, I think he needs time. He has to be given the freedom to buy the type of players he needs to deliver as usual before his 3rd season syndrome kicks in. Winning the FA cup this season will be a very big statement since that'll be tottenham's first major silverware in many years.

I am of the same opinion as you. Currently, Tottenham has missed out of the Premier league title this year. So I think the FA Cup is their primary target/goal for the season. That said, I won't be surprised if Mourinho deploys most of his resources to win the cup. He needs to assured the owners that they made the right call to ditch  Pochettino for him.

Chelsea are definitely capable of getting past Bayern over 2 legs. Bayern are not the team of 4-5 years ago. If Chelsea get a good result at home in the 1st leg then they definitely have a good chance of reaching the 1/4 final.

Well yeah defensively not maybe but they are attacking quite well to be honest and with Chelsea loopholes in defense it becomes quite hard to say. Bayern have good attacking like with Lewandoski leading it and they have Gnabry who is a dangerous man also. It's evenly matched as I see.

I feel good point for Spurs in last night match they play very good underpressure and done good job in absense of Kane its plus point for them now they are on good run this can turn some good tables in their favour but still its very long way to go for them as in next few matches they are going to face Aston villa Leipzig and Chelsea these all matches to watch as they can do some good.

That was Mourinho's strategy applied in yesterday's match so this was not luck but tactics and good performance.
I am also happy that Spurs have now begun to improve in the hands of Mourinho and I want to really see the game at UCL to come.
Next week Spurs will also have the opportunity to win again because in the EPL will be against low-level Aston Villa.

UCL is not an easy competition, any team can target to get one ticket to the final but the results may be different. Its hard to guess who will get the chance to reach the final and become a champion. The manager is experience might help the team achieve good results for each match played, but everything will be determined after 90 minutes on the field.

[...]

Yeah, I know that the UCL competition is very prestigious and tight because a lot of top European clubs are playing there but isn't it possible for Mourinho to win the final this season?
We will see on 20/2 that Tottenham will face Leipzig how Mounriho can stay in the last 16 and advance to the next round, even though Liepzig, a strong team from Germany, still Spurs are able to overcome it for 90 minutes.
Believe in Mourinho he's experienced there so he knows how to differentiate between playing at EPL and UCL.

Edit

Chelsea next 3 meetings:

1) Chelsea vs Man Utd. (EPL)
2) Chelsea vs Spurs. (EPL)
3) Chelsea vs Bayern (UCL)

All home games and against some big names upcoming for Chelsea in 2 weeks Cheesy. I am excited about the last two.

Lampard still doesn't have good experience at UCL will he be able to win against Bayern Grin Grin because it's very difficult just look at the match Bayern in his domestic league won with a lot of scores.

We hardly wins games in front of our home fans and when we do, it isn't a dominating win. Also Manchester united aren't that easy to beat against top clubs since they come with a very attacking mindset. They already beat us 4-0 and also won us again this season although I can't remember the tournament but still hope Lampard can revenge those defeat when we host them at Stanford bridge. Fingers cross.

United's are not the best either. They have been struggling as well. About Manchester United being "strong", thats only stats speaking and that can be broken in any clash. Chelsea are the favourites at Stamford Bridge

And the next target of overtaking Chelsea from position 4 to advance to the UCL cup next season, there, Mourinho will give his best strategy, maybe what he wants in the player will be granted soon. believe that Mourinho at Spurs because he has found his comfortable place.

As a Chelsea fan I will hate this statement to come into reality although I'm not doubting Mourinho's ability to deliver such performance. Chelsea aren't playing convincingly and aren't winning winnable games as they previously did. We'll be playing Manchester United next and it'll be a very difficult game considering we're playing at home which hasn't been in our favour compared to playing away.

Chelsea are a better team than Man Utd, I definitely think it’ll be a win for Chelsea. United with Ole are a poor quality side, they haven’t improved on bit under his management.

After Mourinho arrived, in my opinion the Tottenham game got better and more fun to watch. Occupying fifth place in the standings is very likely they will also survive for the UCL competition next season but it would be better if they were in the top 4 positions.
