Chelsea selection will be weird considering the champions league match, lets see whatever Lampard does.

I think that Lampard is going to do rotation.
He shows big interest in Champions League games.
Bayern is going to be tired after the derby against Leipzig so it is a great chance for him to get an advantage in this knockout.

I believe Ighalo will be an instant hit at manchester united, and will provide the attacking spark and goal scoring threat that has been often missing in the United frontline.

As a Nigerian I would love to see him flourish at United. United are no longer the dominant team which the once were and in matches they find themselves spending lots of time without the ball. Ighalo would be a perfect fit as he plays with space picking out the chances and finishing it off.

Difficult to pick which fixture should get priority. The race for top four is heating up, and the blues would not want to drop points to the reds.

Chelsea next 3 meetings:

1) Chelsea vs Man Utd. (EPL)
2) Chelsea vs Spurs. (EPL)

Tough couple of fixtures. Man Utd would still want to maintain bragging rights. Mourinho on the other hand won't want to be beaten again by someone he was coached and mentored. So at best, A Chelsea draw. otherwise, a Spurs win.  I'm not that sure of Bayern these days. Their performance has been mediocre and lacklustre.

As a Manchester United fan I love this fixture a lot, and I hope that Ole and his boys can beat Chelsea again as they had beaten them comfortably when the season had started. It’ll also be interesting to see Jose vs Lampard once again and if I know Jose well he’ll do everything to beat Lampard, and secure the top 4 spot for Tottenham.
Hopefully Ighalo perform better for Manchester United,  and make a great impact for United,  with the recent form of Man Utd, the game against Chelsea might end up in a draw,  I don't see a wide win margin as we've seen at the beginning of the season

Irregardless for manchester united form, they have been very impressive while playing in the big games, and chelsea i would say has been a good team for manchester united.
I see a straightforward victory for united, perhaps a 1-3 or 0-2 victory.

Brighton will face Watford, it will be an important game for both teams especially the difference between both teams is just 3 points, Brighton with 26 points in the 15th place and Watford with 23 points in the 19th place, both teams will do their best to win this game and secure the 3 points, I will bet for over 3 goals in this game.

Huge game at the bottom of the table, Watford can’t really afford to lose this one. If Brighton win it’d be huge for them as it’d take them further away from the bottom.

I feel like people are undermining the "park the bus" approach of Mourinho too much, I mean dude has made a career out of that type of style of football and basically managed a ton of amazing clubs and now he is a manager for a top 5 football club in premier league.

I get the fact that we do say bad things about any manager if we want to and we can do it and have the right to do so but telling it like it is something marvelously simple that anyone can do it is simply wrong. Plus his style of football is becoming a norm in football nowadays, teams do pass around in their own fields and then just send a big long pass to someone ahead for a counter attack chance or at least make sure the player is 1v1 as much as possible, look at all other teams that does the same thing, nobody plays the tiki taka football of 10 years ago anymore.

I think he's moving away from it (watch City vs Spurs).  His staff behind him are mostly new and he prolly did that to get fresh ideas.  His right hand is a guy who used to work at Lille in Ligue 1.

I wonder what is the reason that this week there are only four Premier League games and none of them is interesting at all.Except Manchester City all other big teams are not playing.I think that based on what I have seen before as a regular viewer of the Premier League except Manchester City game these other games can be an under 2.5 goals.

Winter break is happening for the first time in English Premier League but they are doing it a little differently from the other leagues. I also only know what I read from the Spurs updates but they divided the table into 2 halves and the first half of them is taking the break now, so next week they will come back and these teams playing this weekend will take their break next week. I like it:)

I found Chelsea vs ManU and Leicester vs Wolves games are the best these days.
Chelsea is good indeed and ManU has good players. Both teams have won only one time in the last five games in EPL with ManU losing 3 times... Chelsea Odds remain better imo but we may see surprises. I think Chelsea 2-1 ManU and Leicester 1-1 Wolves, maybe!

The match will not be held this week but next week.
This week's EPL match will only have 8 clubs competing
Everton vs Crystal Palace
Brighton vs Watford
Sheff Utd vs Bournemouth
Man City vs West Ham
you can see here https://www.premierleague.com/fixtures
In my opinion only the match between Man City vs West Ham is awaited to see if City can win 3 points to reduce the points gap from LFC.
It doesn't matter imo for the city to reduce the gap from Liverpool, it's already over for this season with that 22 points gap. Maybe a win for the spot in champions league.

If Liverpool can win their next 6 matches, they can lift the trophy on crystal palace match.

Its moving backwards it was to be the city game.

Maybe they will win it at Watford?   Smiley

My picks for this round's Majestic 7 at FJ (I don't think anybody's winning the 1 BTC tbh.  It's haaard.  But fun.  Lol):
Abraham

Post your picks.  Smiley

I just finished placing my pick, you took some bold steps there by picking Abraham especially as the goals hasn't been coming as usual, also he'll be playing at home which doesn't favor him and lastly he's playing against a big club that normally gives him hard time scoring. This are just the factors I consider before deciding to go for Williams. It'll still be an awesome experience seeing him (Abraham) score. As goals in marches like this can boost a players confidence.

Initially wanted to pick jorginho due to the fact he'll most likely score if Chelsea are given a penalty but that's be a pick relying on the hopes of been given a penalty. The game is going to be a though one and most likely end in a draw although I'm hoping for a dominating performance from the boys (Chelsea), not just in ball possession but end result too.

Chelsea are a formidable opponent Manchester United are not so easy to fight against if they are playing away nor is it so that with Ole to work on his team the more solitary it will be difficult.

Yeah, we don't miss the second match because it's so interesting to watch because we fight for each other to add points, especially for Chelsea wanting to continue in 4th position because it will be safer to get into UCL next season.
Arsenal vs Newcastle will also be very interesting because their points are the same but the difference in goals means the two have to win to rise above it.

Wow, so happy for my team! I have to be brutally honest to say Spurs were not the better team in the past two games and yet somehow we managed to win. First against City in the EPL and now against Southampton last night in FA cup.

Mourinho loves these cup games so I hope he can somehow find a way to take us through to Champions League. Another final too much to ask for?Wink

I haven't seen a Spurs fan in the forum for a while.
Hopefully, Tottenham is going to reach at least the FA cup final. They are a team that can do so and Mourinho is the special one on those games.

Well if you joined the Champions League pools you will see me a lot there since last season,,, I am almost so sure I have even talked to you about it. It is not popular to be Spurs fans recently I know, and I admit I know we were too far in CL last season but sometimes I think, luck is all we need.

I would love to meet Liverpool again in FA Cup;)

Liverpool have become an unbeaten team this season the English league champions are in front of their eyes, there are only a few more matches left, moreover in the future it will be against lowly teams which means that Liverpool's power is still in power and no one is able to defeat it.
It is really fortunate for Klop to have coached Liverpool so perfectly in terms of players that the game on the pitch is always solid and ambitious.
Winning 24 matches per 25 total matches so far is unbelievable if we talk about that at the start of this season but in reality Liverpool have done their work so well like that. They have to win 6 matches to win the Premier League this season. That requirement is so easy for Liverpool. The question now is will Liverpool win their next 6 matches in a row or not. I think they can but if they can not, they will still be able to win 6 matches in their next 10 ones.

For Liverpool, now it is their time to prepare as best as possible for the Champions League, to protect their championship title last season. This season, there are less strong competitors because Real Madrid and Barcelona have their serious problems too. For the other teams, I don't see there are too strong ones to beat Liverpool.

There are a few top teams who could win the CL. I wouldn’t bet against Liverpool, you’d be an idiot to do that but it won’t be easy. Juventus, Barcelona, Man City, Real, Dortmund etc are all capable. Remember it’s only 6 games now to make the final. Bad form & luck can come!
