Just noticed the pic with Sportbet's Watford kit deal.  I was also passing by some random book shop and saw a book called 'The Bitcoin Billionaire'...  With BTC becoming mainstream, I'm kinda thinking it's becoming somewhat uncool.  Lol.

You won’t be thinking bitcoin is uncool when we’re driving Lambo’s, doing blow every weekend & banging the hottest hookers in the world. Bitcoin is the key to our future.

Watford’s deal with sportsbet will make football fans aware of crypto, every little step counts towards mainstream adoption.

Lol.  We'll see.  I've been accumulating more and more XMR tho.  I think it's the future of crypto as a store of (hidden) value.  Grin
Toke, you always get it  Cool While btc hodlers are driving $4M lambos, in the long run we, monero hodlers, will be driving $13M Rolls Royce Sweptails and disgustingly expensive Bugattis. Cheers~

De Gea's future in MU is getting brighter. De Gea is rumored to be signing a new contract after MU's preseason tour. His dream in the future would always be in the team and his desire to become the main captain might be one of the motivations that kept DE GEA alive.

I think the only way De Gea’s future at club level gets brighter is if he leaves Man Utd. They’re terribke & he’s wasting his career at a crap club in the Europa League.

Oh man, you are talking about Manchester United, not Doncaster Rovers (with all due respect to this club and his supporters). MU is one of the biggest clubs in the world and one or two bad seasons is not enough to call them "crap club".

Well it is 2019 and whilst obviously they're not the greatest team it is quite funny to think that they're not even a top 5 club right now and it could get worse. I'm sure they'll have their day again but I can't see it being anytime soon. I found these videos about Man U from the Dream Team youtube channel pretty funny:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2LCgyNWDtY
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ye2jVYoa_U

I recommend subscribing if you're a football fan.

Does anyone know a sportsbook that does specials on cross tournament accumulators? I want to put a couple of bets on like Liverpool to win the Premier League and Man City to win the Champions League and vice versa.

Still looking for this bet. I accidentally put £20 on Liverpool to win pretty much all competitions yesterday. Was just seeing how much the max bet was and actually submitted it:

PMSL. Was pretty pissed off but I guess I know who I'll be rooting for for everything this season. Probably more so than a Liverpool fan haha. I don't think anyone has ever won all four comps before have they?

If anyone wants to sign up for the Premier League predictor pool please check out the thread here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitcointalks-2019-champions-league-pool-sign-up-thread-5154317

If you think you know your PL football then put your money where you mouth is and win some prizes. All money is split between the top five winners and the more people that join the bigger the pot gets. Hopefully the price of BTC will rise during the season and stops a couple of days before the next halving so we could end up with an expanding pot like the first pool (though obviously the opposite is also true   Grin).

Man Utd have been poor since Ferguson left, maybe crap club was harsh. They are a huge club but they’re not in a good place right now. They probably won’t compete for the big trophies for a long time.

A bad season for Manchester United is not one or two seasons. More precisely is after being left by the SAF, since then MU really lost his identity. But I really disagree if he really says Manchester United is a less good team, a garbage club or so on.  Grin

Great motivation De gea isn't really about being the main captain. The reason for staying in the Manchester United is to remain the main goalkeeper, not a backup. And it's still a good choice for De Gea to stay at MU. I don't think if he moved clubs he would raise his level.

Watford narrowly lost to Ajax last night, have you guys seen Watford’s new kit sponsored by sportsbet.io? It’s the company I have in my signature.

You can read about the kit deal they made with Watford here - https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/sportsbetio-proud-partner-of-southampton-fc-1458034

Wow that great news for sportsbet.
It is going to increase adoption and awareness for the cryptocurrency betting.
I hope that after Watford there will be other teams that would have sponsors crypto casinos in their shirts.
I consider it a good exposure for crypto since sportsbet's payment method is bitcoins. We need more exposure for bitcoins. By the way, any idea how much money they are spending? I bet it's huge!

I think that they are spending a lot of money as they are exposed to the Premier League which is a league that has a lot of viewers during the period.
Watford is a good team for sportsbet as it would be one of the cheapest teams that accepts sponsorships in the league.
Let's see more initiatives like this one and more people will come in the industry to gamble.

Crypto gambling is already helping quite well. In my Country, in order to get rid of gambling, they decided to impose very heavy taxes on winnings and guess what?
Gambling through cryptocurrencies has helped me not to pay even a single tax from my winnings to these institutional thieves  Grin

Not a great day for Newcastle fans, Steve Bruce the new manager -

https://www.nufc.co.uk/news/latest-news/steve-bruce-appointed-as-newcastle-united-head-coach/

They also lost 4-0 to Wolves in a pre season game.

I did not follow Newcastle changes at all, whether they have new owners?
there were speculations about Mourinho only if they have new rich owners, and want to spend a lot of money on making a new team.

They don’t have new owners yet, no. If they had uber rich new ownership they wouldn’t have employed Steve ‘never achieved anything’ Bruce. I think Newcastle could be in real danger of relegation this season.

They already have uber rich ownership. He's just a tightwad and won't spend any money. I think that's why Raffa left. My money is on Newcastle to be relegated this season.

^  Nope, no...  Not during Mike Ashley's ownership of the club.  IMHO.  And they could be going down this season.  I should've hedged my Newcastle at top 6 bet with Newcastle to be relegated at 4.5ish a month ago.  Lol.

I put a couple of pre-season bets on which included Newcastle to be relegated.

many players have come to the English league for the coming season. do you think what clubs will be unexpected will be challengers of big clubs in the Premiere league? this is interesting to discuss.
This kind of thing is difficult to predict. Because the competition really hasn't started yet and the club can be a challenger, of course anyone can. But in reality the small English league club that dominates at the beginning will usually end as usual, the middle board class or even below.
it is difficult but we can see a number of English clubs making considerable changes at their respective clubs and I think this year many things will be unthinkable.
The English league has always been a spectacle that has been waiting for every game. And it is indeed very difficult to predict and even the half-season champions have no guarantee after the competition ends he stays there. That's why I'm happy with the English league.

Man I really feel bad for Newcastle fans. They had a genuine chance at European football under Benitez, and he's proven his mettle. Took them back to the big boys league, and then picked apart great teams. How many teams beat City last season?

Then you take away the brains and put in SB, all due respect but he's from an era that no longer exists in EPL.

They got their win against West Ham today and I'm glad that worked out, they were the underdogs but they still have the good legs from last season and on paper look superior in my eyes. Not that it's a meaningful game, but Shelvey and boys got the shine now to pick up any motivation to play well come August.

Of course, I will be very careful in watching the entire Prime Minister to her, but for me the August 11 contest between Manchester United and Chelsea will be very important.  Any predictions are still very difficult to make, since they are very strong teams, although it will be necessary to revise them in previous results.
It's such a big game just right at the beginning of the season, I do not think it's what both teams wanted though, I think they would have preferred to start off with weaker teams and gradually steady themselves for the big boys.

It's a game of bragging rights for them, with new managers for the both teams, there is quite a lot to prove in this one.
If my money is going into this one, I'll definitely be betting for a draw.
