Premier league fixtures for next season is out. Games will start from 12 September. Man City and Utd are given late start due to their participation in European competitions. Decent fixtures in opening round but I am particularly looking forward to Liverpool vs Leeds.

I'm not. I don't think there could be a worse fixture for Leeds to open with... Maybe Man City away. They're playing City at home as their third game though so it's going to be a tough month for them. It's not going to do Leeds' confidence any good if they get spanked 3/4/5-0 which I could see happening at Anfield. The only thing I can see going in their favour is if Liverpool are a bit rusty and go into the game complacent. Happens to some big teams on the first game. Maybe Leeds can pick up some points from the other two games against Fulham and Sheffield, but they'll probably struggle at Sheffield away. Fulham is at home though.
First games of a new season are often strange & you can get unexpected results. I usually stay away from gambling on the open weekend, certainly not to pick ML’s.
Every time when we have new season first 1 or 2 rounds need to check things how they going so placing bets very risky and not good idea just watching and have fun is good because no one can predict about any team or any player.

EPL season 20/21 will start on September 12, 2020. How will it continue, without spectators? Will the top flight still be dominated by big EPL clubs or are there any new surprises? Let's watch it together. I can't wait for the new season to be interesting. Regardless of the competition, there are some interesting things about the jersey being changed every season, and it's like a necessity to get rid of bad luck. Looking at the jersey this season, the brand ambassadors for Nike and Adidas still dominate the jersey of EPL's clubs, although there are several other brands such as Puma, Umbro, Hummel, Kappa and Under Armor. Many believe that the jersey kit is also a lucky factor throughout the season. The picture above is the new Liverpol's jersey for next season, and for details all club jersey season 20/21,  please go to this link: https://soccer.nbcsports.com/2020/08/19/premier-league-kit-rankings-2020-21/

I already said in another thread that Willian could be a good fit for Arsenal. He will not play predominantly on the right wing though because Pepe had a decent debut season and basically plays only as a right winger.

They will probably rotate 4 players in the offense, with Saka losing a lot of minutes. It will be interesting to see what the 'ideal' first 11 will look like. I think Lacazette will be the one losing minutes if he does not improve because Aubameyang can play as striker now that they have Willian that can play left wing. Lacazette is playing only as a striker and his inability to play multiple positions will probably cost him.

Willian could be 31 but he is definitely an improvement for most teams, I think he would be great at arsenal as well, I can see auby and willian connecting very well too because they are both very talented players, auby of course very young but willian could teach him a bit of things as well, the veteran stuff, you do not have to be more talented than a player to teach them some stuff, they could be more talented than you and you could still help them get even better.

According to some articles, Arteta has plans to give Willian a kind of central role so yeah it wid be a great link-up indeed as you said. Also there are rumours of Lacazette to Juventus so that would free up that position if happens. I am waiting for gunners to make some move in this transfer market.    Sad

BTW auby is not young man. But yeah he is playing really good.

Locker room transfers that help on the court are so valuable, they are literally without a price because if a player can rile up a whole locker room and have that huge leader charisma that can make players all around him better, you can't put a price tag on him. Willian could be that person in Arsenal.

I think we are reading on a backup player too much, think about it, dude is just a back up to robertson and not really a starting level player. However what he could be for is that liverpool didn't had too much break, they finished the season and very soon the league will come back and that means players will need rest time to time, plus liverpool will be in champions league, in epl and in fa cup as well amongst maybe some other games? So at the end of the day robertson can't play in all of those games, he will have to be rested time to time in order to get ready for the next game, in which case Kostas could play at the back in those small amount of games. Unless Robertson gets injured I think the best case for Kostas is 10 starts, and I think not even that much would happen.

I don’t know anything about Kostas Tsimikas. Any Greek guys here?

Is he any good?

It’s back up for Robertson so I see it as a positive.

Many do not know Kostas Tsimikas, because this player has just won a place in the Olympiakos main team in the 2018-2019 season.
And the two previous seasons on loan to Esbjerg and Willem II. The 2019-2020 season Tsimikas appeared in 46 matches helping Olympiakos
won the Greek Super League champion. To be a back up for Robertson I think it is good, and also the purchase price is not too expensive.
Obviously Tsimikas has been a good player judging by his previous clubs and playing time i.e experiences Kloop must have watched his pattern of play thus signing him as a another back up player, he (Tsimikas) might not make an instant impact in the team however a close monitoring and guidance by Kloop will surely make him to blend with his teammates of course the style of play of Liverpool and the whole team strength lies with the attacking prowess of their leftback and rightback Robertson and Arnold however an injury to Robertson will give a chance to Kostas Tsimikas prove his worth IMHO.

No. I mean this topic is to discuss EPL related stuff, maybe FA Cup too or even a game involving one of EPL teams but certainly not to turn it to a discussion about La Liga/Serie A players and teams unless there is a transfer or something related to EPL.
There is a dedicated topic for each league, including Champions and Europa leagues..
I'm a little funny, seeing some of the comments above , because I think it's off topic, LaLiga on the EPL tread, LOL😂.

~snip~
BTW Willian quits Chelsea and Liverpool gonna sign with Kostas Tsimikas from olympiacos (left-back)
Interesting about Willian's transfer, the latest news Willian remains in the Premier League this season and he will go to Arsenal, despite offers from Everton and MLS, strong rumors of Willian chose Arsenal. Looking at Willian's age at 31, I think it was Chelsea's decision to regenerate. If I see his game I am very happy, because willian is a hard worker that he can play in several positions such as Right Wing, Left Wing
and Attacking Midfielder Source: https://www.transfermarkt.com/willian-to-join-arsenal-joorabchian-quot-had-offer-from-mls-quot-/view/news/367035

I think if Liverpool buys him it is a great move for them. They need a player like him because he is critical in the midfield and also he can be a really good upgrade for trying to win the Champions League the upcoming season.I think they will easily win the Premier League again as I think they are the most stable team in the Premier League with the most consistent results.
Alcantara can be a good substitute for J Milner. He is not strong as Milner but he has better skill to control the game and distribute ball possesion to his teammates and create opportunities for forwards. It might depend on the result of Champions League, Bayer will win the trophy, and Alcantara will stay at Bayern. I know the position of Alcantara is competed by Kimmich but who knows what he think of Bayern, his chances and Liverpool, Premier League. There are successful Spanish players in Premier League and they can be good motivation for Thiago.

Bayern Munich open for bid if Liverpool really want to buy Thiago Alcantara. The rumor mentioned if the price of Thiago is around £31 million. For now, there is no official offer for this players. Thiago's contract will end next season. From Mirror, the coach wants to work with him for few years again, but he can't refused if Thiago want to leave. Look like Livepool got a green light from Bayren if they really want Thiago.
A few minutes ago new announcement from Bayern that they are ready to sell Thiago for any fair price its mean now Liverpool receiving green light they can talk and take this person from Allianz Arena for Anfield in this window.

What we really need is a better back up than Origi to Firmino, Mane & Salah. I’m still hopeful we’ll do some business there.
We need a controlling midfielder too, somebody really good on the ball. I still think we’ll sign Thiago after Bayern’s participation in the CL.

Agreed on both but we also need some cover at centre-back now. Matip and Gomez both have their health issues, Fabinho was decent for a few games he played there but I'd still like another player. Youngsters are decent and with a lot of potential (Hoever, Van den Berg) but not quite ready yet.
Hopefully Minamino will do well in preseason because he was supposed to be that 'better than Origi' player. Keita had a strong end to the season so I'm looking for him and Ox to bring a bit more flair to our midfield.

Thiago would be a perfect fit for us. Really hope you're right there.

As long as he's got 2 feet and remains healthy, I'm happy with the Tsimikas deal.

We really needed cover for Robertson and Milner neither wants to play there nor can run up and down all the time anymore. He's a great cover if Tsimikas doesn't fit into the team but left back was a position where we really needed a player - any player that is left-footed and can run.

I don't expect much, from the few clips I saw his passing isn't up to standard and he dives into tackles too often. But I'm sure our scouting department did their research and they did pick up some gems before. Hopefully Tsimikas will be at least decent.
Exactly, he is young and Klopp has already proved he can do wonders with young full backs willing to lean and listeb. It is not like Robertson and Arnold were the players they are today when they got in the club.

He is young and obviously has some potential, he will not have problem sitting out all the major games and he did not cost a fortune. Good job for Liverpool for sure to add a bit of depth on otherwise very thin left back position.

Milner was capable of playing there but I saw two games of him deputising there & the opposition targeted him both times for his lack of pace. He was yellow carded both times so Liverpool had to provide a better cover for Robertson.
