Arsenal would need to stop throwing points away to teams that are struggling in the relegation zone, Arsenal suffered a loss to Southampton today and this might decrease their chance to get into the top 4 spots on the table at the end of this season. Even though Manchester United have lost their match against Liverpool too, but I guess it is a much more acceptable result as compared to Arsenal today since Liverpool are pretty strong when they are playing at the stadium of Anfield.

Manchester United performance doesn't surprise me at all, they left their most expensive midfielder on the bench
It's not like Pogba would've made a big difference on the pitch, the entire team was just awful.

About the game, it was quite underwhelming, mainly because it was too one-sided, just look at the statistics, Liverpool had 36 shots and 11 on target, that describes just how terrible Manchester United were tonight, even by their standards, that was a shocking performance.

Fun fact: Manchester United have conceded 29 goals in 17 league games this season, throughout the last season they conceded only 28 goals.

^  Southampton - Arsenal looked like it was a good game.  Grin  And it's nice to see Ings do well.  I hope he does for the rest of the season...  Klopp saw something in him and signed him at LFC but got injured for a long time and was eventually sold to the Saints.

I'm really glad I decided to spend my sunday watching Saints vs Gunners, it was a brilliant match right till the end. I'll be honest I doubted saints till the very end, if they'll be able to hold it for a win but in the end they won. Manchester United performance doesn't surprise me at all, they left their most expensive midfielder on the bench gave Liverpool all the space to play, then decided to sit back and defend that one lucky goal. I'm so glad Manchester United were beaten, and I'm die hard Manchester United fan but only looses like this can make the board sack Jose Mourinho he needs to go right away.

Amazing games today. I definitely did not see Southampton coming away with any points, but to take all 3 away from Arsenal shows that they still got some life in them, especially at home the fans must have loved that.

It's quite crazy to think Arsenal hammered Spurs and then could only pull level twice before falling again to a late goal. Usually the big teams are the ones with late goals but here we are.

One last game starting, everybody is looking forward to it.

My god, the Burnley game was boring. I stopped watching at half time. Burnley pretty much started time wasting and trying to run out the clock before the 30 minute mark. Some of the most boring football I've ever seen.  They only actually started playing in the 91st minute after conceding. Here are some words that I don't think I've ever said before in my life: I'm so happy Spurs won. Burnley deserve to be punished for the way they played today.

Fulham were awful. I really can't see them avoiding relegation, which is pretty ridiculous considering just how much money they spent over summer.

It seems that Wolverhampton Wanderers are too strong for Bournemouth to take, I was expecting Bournemouth to focus more on their defense and try to force a draw in full time since they are playing away from their home stadium. I guess an early goal scored by Wolverhampton Wanderers did forced Bournemouth to try and search for an equalizer goal, it was an easy 2nd goal scored by Wolverhampton Wanderers as most of the players from Bournemouth are pushing forward at the 94th minutes mark.

Ahhhh man, epic times. Had to sling you another Merit for this post.
Remember Gary McAllistar’s late free kick against Everton when we were fighting to get top 4 in that 2000/01 season.

Good times, man.

Missed your mention of McAllister, OF COURSE I remember that goal another derby thriller. 2001 was a brilliant year I don't care how else people remember it but to have all my childhood heroes in that season, the super solid defence of Houllier (and we still played exciting esp with Gerrard in his youth), the crazy Riise, didn't we always have good leftbacks? All that would pave the way for the Rafalution.

Good times always, and I'm sure good times ahead no matter what.

Damned City is back on top of course, but it will be so sweet to take it back with a win over old rivals. The true Manchester team to beat. Super Sunday. Glorious!

Yeah man, Hyypia & Henchoz were rock solid that season, special mention to Markus Babbel who was an absolute unit that season, what a player. Sadly he developed some kind of virus that ruined his career, a myscle wasting disease -

Guillain-Barré syndrome is thought to be caused by a problem with the immune system, the body's natural defence against illness and infection. Normally the immune system attacks any germs that get into the body. ... an infection, such as food poisoning, flu or cytomegalovirus.

I just watched City, they won 3-1 but Everton had several great chances which could have made the score very different but hey we’ll just have to win against United now.

Man City vs Everton - Really hoping Everton can take something from this game today. Unfortunately I expect Man City to win comfortably which means Liverpool will have to beat Man Utd to stay top. I think we will beat Man Utd at Anfield but it would be nice if City were to somehow slip up.

It might be a comfortable win from Man City but if Everton will play it smoothly, maybe the tide will favor their side. Even if city is a favorite team, they are still not invincible.

^  KDB and Aguero are available from the bench but I hope Pep doesn't use KDB and risk him getting injured again.  Not vs Everton anyway...  Maybe against weaker competition.

City are having some major injury problems right now. If I'm right, Aguero, Dilva, KDB, Fernandinho, Mendy and Danilo are all injured for the foreseeable future. But I mean, having said that, they still have the likes of Sterling, Sane, Mahrez and Bilva. Kinda ridiculous they can end up with six 1st team players injured and still field an amazing team regardless.

I agree though, you will be lucky for Everton to take any points from City. A consolation Richarlison goal would be nice for my Fantasy Football team though.

Wolverhampton Wanderers seems to be a pretty strong team whenever they are playing at their home stadium, they have even managed to beat Chelsea before in front of their home fans, I think it would not be easy for Bournemouth to beat Wolverhampton Wanderers today, there might be a high chance we could see a draw at the final whistle in this match.

So, aside from the Liverpool vs Man Utd game, is anyone looking forward to any other game this weekend? Looks like it's going to be a boring weekend in the EPL, i mean, I feel like the top teams (Arsenal, City, Chelsea, Spurs) will win their respective games fairly easy so i'm not that excited to watch those games...there's the Wolves vs Bournemouth which can be quite interesting but still...I might stick to Serie A or La Liga this weekend lol

Like you said there isn't much to watch this weekend. Spanish league is always fun, there's Levante vs Barça tomorrow, if it's even half as crazy as their game last season, it would still be fun to watch Grin

I can't think of anything else, the big games are mostly happening next week both for Premier and Spanish league..

Today I think it is an interesting game between Everton and Watford. The bookies see as favourite Everton which maybe true but the fact that Watford during the beginning of the season performed really well don't let me bet on Everton to win. I think we may see a draw here in this game.
A draw at Everton's place was not bad but it seems this time Everton will definitely break a goal in the first half IMO is correct, that is the goal from handsome striker Richarlison who will add points to Everton.I heard and read news Barca also want the That handsome attacker.

I really didn't expected Chelsea to pull of a win like that. After going for so long without even losing and staying at the top of the league Man City looked like the best team in the league and really proved they were there to win it all but with just one loss now they are at second rank which shows you how difficult the premier league is.

Just one loss on 16 games and you are not number one, in any other league if you have just one loss in 16 games you are more than likely to be number one unless you had draws on half of those games.

Liverpool continues their success from last year, we all know what could have happened if Salah wasn't injured that game and there wasn't 2 silly goals but if Liverpool keeps this up I bet they will become the top 3 more consistently for a while.

^  Tho Watford letting Silva go under bad circumstances and due to Everton's approach that might have caused Watford's deterioration last season has still left a bad taste in their mouth.

Watford could play extra motivated for this match.

Should be a good game, think I’ll watch it tonight. Going to stop revealing my predictions now though as slaman is pulling away in our pool, he could put the same prediction as me & I wouldn’t be able to catch him Cheesy

Long way to go but you know what I mean Smiley
