Champions league restarting is really not a good idea because we are talking apples and oranges here with the leagues. When you are playing league games you are playing inside your nation, you are still responsible for the country you are in and they are responsible for you, that's it, however when you are going to another nation, you are not playing just some games, you are travelling to another country and coming back, that is much much more risky.

Not saying it won't start, it is already decided I am afraid, which means it will be played for sure, but it doesn't change the fact that champions league is much more scary than the regular leagues. However one thing is for sure, by august we are going to be doing much better with this corona deal unless some second wave starts, and if that happens it could be cancelled anyway.

I think that they Champions League is going to be cancelled.
In order for the CL matches to happen all leagues should have started and teams should be prepared. This needs a lot of time to happen and we are already on June.

Yeah, I don’t think the CL or EL will be cancelled. UEFA are very keen for them to both be completed, there is a hell of a lot of money involved & sponsorship deals that need to be met.

Also, Istanbul thinking to cancel the household for the final game. There is a high risk of infection, plus playing behind the closed door it will bring almost no profit. they did not show much interest to organise the final game.

Yeah Istanbul as venue for final was concern when they initially rolled out the dates. Glad they gave a thought and are thinking of changing it.

Really sad to see Ligue 1 cancelled. That was really early decision.
No offense, but I think no one really bothered to watch Ligue 1 lol, unless if it's the only league in the world.

I am not a fan of Ligue 1 either but maybe thought it as another option of betting. PSG are good option to bet and build up the bankroll slowly so kinda bit sad.

With no positive results in latest Premier League covid tests, nothing can stop the league to continue then.

That's great news. It will restart with remaining matches from the last round- Manchester City vs Arsenal and Aston Villa vs Sheffield United on 17th June. Two from the big-6 facing right after restart is perfect to resume the league.

There will be no cancelled CL. I find maybe only one game will be played in the next stage. Also, Istanbul thinking to cancel the household for the final game. I'm sure they have been preparing the venue since the time they were announced to hold the final game. Then if they cancel it, it would lead them to get more loss.

Most of the major leagues are going to be back now in June. La Liga and  PL both will start in June 2nd and 3rd week. Serie A is also set to return somewhere in June. Also CL's remaining stages will all be played in August. I think you are bit outdated here.

There is a rumor if Chelsea wants to bring Philippe Coutinho for loan with €10 million fees. From ESPN, Barcelona also want to sell this player with €80 million, unfortunately no clubs make an offer with that prices. But, Italian clubs Juventus linked with this players.

Liverpool won the league at 1990 last time, that is 30 years not 20 years. That is a looooong wait. They have come close few times as well but still managed to fail. Last year was closest I suppose, couple balls off the bars going in and you got yourself a championship. With champions league as well that would have been perfect for them to win it together.

This year however its no longer about if they could win the league or not, since we all know that league is coming back now, the only question remaining is if they could beat the record or not, plus what is going to happen with champions league, will that come back? I mean some leagues are not postponed, they are cancelled, but I don't know if that affects champions league. If it continues that would be even sweeter.

Sucks I won’t be able to be in the stadium to see us lift the title but at this stage I’m just happy to see us win the title. It’s been so long, I was 3 or 4 the last time we did it so have no memory of it.

I saw it reported they wont play any LFC home games because the risk of fans coming to celebrate outside if they clinch it

A few grounds have tower blocks near by, those residents may be the luckiest fans in the UK.

I'm pretty pretty sure it won't stop them from celebrating anyway if they clinch it...  Grin  It's been three decades ffs.
Surely there is something going to happen as this is once in a life for many so they will celebrate and no one can stop them from this all even stick lock down as they are really one of most passionate supporters of soccer club in the world.

Liverpool became a team capable of showing consistent performance in English Premier League competitions throughout the 2019/20 season.  Jurgen Klopp's team are top of the standings, with a 25-point advantage over second-placed Manchester City.  The Reds only need two wins to ensure the success of getting the first English Premier League title in the club's history
It takes 2 more matches meaning Liverpool will win the English league season 19/20 but I am sure all of it can be overcome by breaking the record with the previous game which only lost one time in one season.

The Klopp team will definitely win the EPL with lots of surprises where the players are consistent and solid in every game.

As a fan of course you will look forward to winning the trophy for Liverpool at the end of the league.

Been seeing you support your team for years constantly, now the time has come. You deserve it. Liverpool and Dortmund fans are really the most passionate football fans for sure.

What the reasons behind the quarantine rule with only 7 days of self-isolation on positively tested players and staffs?

Cant really find aN official explanation regarding this as well but after 7 days, they will be tested again. If they are still positive then they will continue being on quarantine

Got an article about 7 days quarantine for EPL stars here. Not sure if it is a reliable source but the explanation kinda makes sense, in the end MONEY TALKS and there are alot of pressure to resume EPL back to normal

Though full hopes of this season get the title by celebrating with his fans because events like this can be said are rare because for the last 30 years Liverpool have not won.

But I think with the results of the points now may be quite satisfied with the title that will get this season, it's just seen in the stadium without spectators.

When you were 3-4 at that time I was still not born. Grin Grin

It is still sad that 2 people have infection but that shouldn't really stop the league at all.

It is truely just 2 people to be honest, but it could be their best players and it would be difficult for the clubs to cope with it.
It is commendable though doing those tests and announcing, and with group training starting out this week (it was voted today); we can look forward to the EPL commencing very soon.

It doesn't matter if its their best players.

If their best player gets an injury, hamstring or something? does that mean they can drop out of the league and not be relegated?  no

Why would this be different? a team is the squad not the individuals.
If its goalie of bournemouth that is fine if you ask me, I always said it has to be something major before we could resume but looking at how many goals bournemouth has scored on this year, its obvious that goalie wasn't really playing in the games neither anyway. If June is comeback date I feel like that is way too early for players to get back in shape.

So, I assume the decision that was made was for players to start training right away, which means they will start training right now or tomorrow or whatever, of course get tested again just in case as well. After that they will train until 17th and after that league will start once again. I really was hoping to see Liverpool breaking 100th points record and they were on their way but now that they gave such a big break, I don't know if they will be capable of coming back with the same momentum.
