I’m pretty sure hookers shouldn’t be working atm, I guess they still have bills to pay though & that’s why they’re still operating. You’re right though, so many players bang hookers, Kyle Walker was at it a few weeks ago. I saw on Sky Sports that Spurs fullback Aurier broke lockdown rules for the 3rd time haha, he put a photo on social media of him having his hair cut Cheesy

It was Watford and Burnley who had players/staff that tested positive:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52726278

Thanks, I saw the news too. Since the resuming league plan is still undecided, perhaps more than 2 weeks from now, hope those who get infected will be recovered asap.

I'd be surprised if it got going within two weeks. The players will probably want at least two weeks to train, and then there's all the other things to organise by the PL, but hopefully they've already been working on that. We still don't know whether they're going to be playing in neutral grounds or not.

Well Hudson Odoi can’t be too concerned, he was arrested as police were called to his penthouse apartment at 4am this week. He was banging hookers & one of them called the police due to a disturbance.

Lol. What is it with players and banging hookers. There's probably hundreds of women who will bang them for free. I wonder if these PL players will get into trouble with either the law or their clubs since they should have been self-isolating. I'm not sure if hookers count as essential or front-line workers. No wonder a lot of players don't want to go back to training because they know what everybody's been getting up to.

Wow

Quote
Chelsea are due to resume training in small groups on Wednesday but Hudson-Odoi’s return could now be delayed while the club decide how long the winger needs to be away from teammates and another staff members. Frank Lampard’s players were due to undergo coronavirus testing on Monday. It is understood that Hudson-Odoi went to the club’s Cobham training ground to take part in the testing.

It is believed that one negative test would not be sufficient for Hudson-Odoi, who recovered from coronavirus after testing positive for the illness in March, to join training. Given the volume of tests that return a false negative, more than one test may be required to clear him if he has failed to follow Premier League protocols.

That report is very vague, the woman was "unwell" but he was arrested. Doesn't say what for?

If its for breaching the coronavirus rules? then we are finally at a police state. Better lock up my neighbours too. They are all having people round often.

Also says one test may not be reliable enough. If so im sure he can do a few tests at once. But what does that say for the testing that is about to happen for most people in England? if its that unreliable?

I left the article with more questions than answers.

Yeah, 6 players is a tiny % of all players & staff in the PL, it’s simple to just quarantine them for a week or two. This won’t affect anything, the season will still restart.

Well since it's a virus, one infected man might infect dozens of people. Btw, I read on somewhere saying people who recovered from covid-19 would have their lung function reduced by 20-30%. Not sure if that's true since there is no news about covid-19 recovered players like Hudson-Odoi and Dybala get that issue.

Lots of teams have started training again now including Liverpool and Man U:
https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11661/11991390/liverpool-and-manchester-united-resume-group-training-for-premier-league-restart

PL carried out COVID-19 tests recently and there were 6 more cases founds from three clubs. There weren't any further specific details provided. (Source: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2020/may/19/premier-league-reveals-six-positive-coronavirus-tests-across-three-clubs)

By not revealing which clubs these players who test positive from, seems FA still trying hard to bring back the league. Though Bundesliga still restarting the league when there are 10 positive tests reported.

Resuming individual trainings is good as a new normality for football clubs but to resume the league, clubs must have group trainings for tactics problems. I hope that Premier League will move to next step next one or 2 weeks, then the league will be able to resume for its rest matches in the first half of June.

The health protocol for group trainings and solutions for infected players or related clubs of infected players will be very important.

Generally, the another good news is daily death tolls in each European nations declined significantly, it is a good thing to think of for other social activities, reopen the economy and sport events.
There seems to be some surprising new news when the Premier League has just announced an individual training session, but at that session, all clubs conduct tests on each player and staff and in the end there are six new positive Covid-19 cases.

Of course, this is a new disaster for the English Premier League, plans to continue the League threatened to be postponed or even canceled, the article after a mass inspection of 748 people consisting of players and staff, there are six positive cases of Cov-19. it has also been confirmed by the Premier League.

reference: https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11661/11991043/coronavirus-premier-league-receives-six-positive-tests

Why would they postpone or cancel the league because of six positive tests? That's ridiculous. Six is a tiny number. Do you expect the entire league to be zero? They do the tests so they can isolate the players. As far as I'm aware they were all asymptomatic as well.

I think not revealing the players could be due to other privacy reasons, but It comes confirms their move to get the league underway as soon as possible

There are positive news as well, the premier league clubs have reportedly according to many sources 1 resumed training today, just as planned and if the next series of tests to be carried out doesn't bring out relevant amount of new cases, then a June restart is a possibility.

Indeed, such number isn't significant and shouldn't be a problem or an excuse to not resume the EPL. The number of infected medics in certain centers is higher and no one is talking about shutting down it. 2 weeks from now and they should be healed, by that time it is still early for games resume!

Smart is not enough, there must be skills

Really, I don't know about ticket refunded before. Of course they still have advertisement spot, but since clubs have lost lots of their income since pandemic, i think they need other ways to gain more revenue because no income from ticket sales.

I believe that it is not an option for the clubs to give a refund to the fans.
It is not a good action for the fans but all clubs suffered a huge economic disaster during this period. All fans should not ask for a refund because if they do so they are going to  support their club financially.

If fanatics surely they will give up the ticket money because it is not returned with the club but what about the others who just watch it they certainly want the return back even though the current club situation is experiencing a crisis during this pandemic then there is no other way but the refund.

I am sure the team has another way to do this because if the match has started again surely fans will buy the attributes of their favorite team.

I think most clubs in leagues that have been cancelles refunded season ticket holders.
If/When matches resumes in England, some sources of revenue would also do so, in match advertisement on stadium screens for example can resume.

We should be seeing PL football back on our TV’s in late June, what do you think guys? I think June 19th is pencilled in as the first weekend of games.

June sounds great but can't find it anywhere supporting what you mentioned above. from what I've heard small group training sessions will start from Tuesday, 19th May.

Not contact training in small groups back tomorrow -

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/amp/football/52704450

It’s not much but it’s a start to getting footy back.

Disappointingly lame after all the excitement we may have resumed matches soon.

Weeks ago they said back to training.

I wonder what to believe anymore from the government and co.

Yup...  I'm not even excited anymore tbh.  I don't care if it goes on or not.  I'm happy with the UFC atm.

Come to think of it.  It's prolly what the FA is waiting for...  It would be much easier for them to do whatever the hell they want.

Now the plan to continue the rest of the 2019/20 season competition gets a new boost. The league manager has reached an agreement with all participating clubs to return to undergo training sessions individually. The training session will begin on Tuesday (5/19) local time.

The English Premier League said that health protocols would continue to be developed to allow the continuation of group training sessions with normal physical contact.

Since everything is going smoothly in Germany I am feeling that other leagues will follow, maybe EPL or Serie A first then the remaining non-cancelled leagues.

Of course we have to wait the 2 weeks incubation period to really see if it went well or folly
Yes indeed, that's why they are stepping slowly to see how things go there in part imo Smiley
