Not contact training in small groups back tomorrow -

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/amp/football/52704450

It’s not much but it’s a start to getting footy back.

Disappointingly lame after all the excitement we may have resumed matches soon.

Weeks ago they said back to training.

I wonder what to believe anymore from the government and co.
Since everything is going smoothly in Germany I am feeling that other leagues will follow, maybe EPL or Serie A first then the remaining non-cancelled leagues.

Of course we have to wait the 2 weeks incubation period to really see if it went well or folly

That's an awesome idea. Instead of pressing button for the chant sound, I think it would be more interesting if people could use the virtual people as their speaker and chant themselves thru the app, makes it more realistic and better.
There would be a lot of strange sounds heard in the stadium should this be applied

Why would people make strange sound to cheer the team? They can just make normal chant like in the stadium right? Even if someone makes offensive chant like racist or NSFW's sound, it's easier to track and punish him since it's using digital app. And also by using this thing, these virtual spectators could vote their version of MOTM directly.

Coronavirus football: FC Seoul apologises for 'sex dolls' in stands

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-52702075

This is what they had to put in the stands!
It was an epic fail indeed but we are not going to see such icons in serious leagues like Premier League. I wonder why they had this idea to put them in the stands - what did they want to show.

[Really, I don't know about ticket refunded before.
I just edited my reply to some rather than most, I had come across a couple of teams; Man City, Man Utd, Burnely and a couple of Spanish teams offering refunds, that is not really much. Majority of clubs are opting for a plan that would keep those tickets relevant till next season should fans be allowed into the stadium by then.

hmph..
I think most clubs in leagues that have been cancelles refunded season ticket holders.
If/When matches resumes in England, some sources of revenue would also do so, in match advertisement on stadium screens for example can resume.

Really, I don't know about ticket refunded before. Of course they still have advertisement spot, but since clubs have lost lots of their income since pandemic, i think they need other ways to gain more revenue because no income from ticket sales.

But, every clubs need income, maybe make them buying a ticket even not going to stadium for the match can be a solution. Like giving a 50% discount for buying ticket. In this case maybe fans will accept it to support their clubs.
Fans would still have to pay to stream the matches live, so I doubt much people would be donating to the club. I think most some clubs in leagues that have been cancelled refunded season ticket holders.

The guy who bought a 'ticket' could press a button and make one of the virtual people chant or cheer or whatever.  Grin

You know...  What the EPL could do is somethng like a virtual crowd and sell 'tickets' in an app or something.  The guy who bought a 'ticket' could press a button and make one of the virtual people chant or cheer or whatever.  Grin

Haha, thats good, maybe it will happen in the next few years Cheesy

LOOK AT THE BOTTOM ONE. THEY STILL HAVE SOME CROWD THERE

Probably not the fans but just some staff from both team , janitor or some other people with some job to do there. Cant believe how empty it is, it just looks like some regular training game but atleast things went smoothly

Yup pretty much.

*edit* here I grabbed a few screenshots *edit*

LOOK AT THE BOTTOM ONE. THEY STILL HAVE SOME CROWD THERE

Are you sure they're actual people? They might cardboard cut outs. A couple of teams have allowed the fans to purchase them for charity:

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8315767/The-atmospheres-bit-flat-Cardboard-fans-stands-Borussia-Moenchengladbach-soccer-stadium.html

Looks a bit eerie but it's a nice idea. Though maybe some of the smaller leagues have lax rules about who can watch or get into the stadiums and they are actual spectators.

hahaha lol that's funny. Woking FC are selling your name on their shirt as a fund raiser, the shirts will be woven with names all over them. Like the wing of Vulcan thing.

Maybe in Belarus it is still very safe for the co-19 outbreak so that their matches continue and there are spectators every time they start.

In addition, all sports have been stopped because many cases occur in his country so this is a big problem with league matches.

Now the staff are only at the edge of the field and do not interact.

From the statistic on worldometer, actually the recovered case rate in Belarus is not much different with other countries in Europe, around 30%. But the death rate there is very low, even less than 1%. I think this is why Belarus League is still allowed to run. Beside that, there is no player in Belarus League who tests positive until now.

You guys are just making it up. Why are none of the other games with "500 staff"  what a load of crap. They are all mostly empty stadiums.

Not sure why do you call me making it up, as I wrote " PROBABLY " there as I have no idea who that person is. It could be fans, it could be some random guy watching the game or whatever  Cheesy

Even if there are some fans out there, you cant really blame them for that but you should just blame their security for letting all those people in or you could try to ask someone from there to confirm about wether they let fans into the stadium or not

Probably not the fans

On the other hand, still waiting for the official news regarding premier league here. Anyone got the latest information ?

personally I want the league to finish as it and let Liverpool win the league with the current bottom three relegated
