- Watching documentaries about people recovering from gambling addiction and how they have turned their lives around to the best.
I do appreciate the your courage to take conscious steps of not being a gambling addictor and actually keeping to it. Some people find it really hard, they start and stop, start and stop, but he was able to pull through and I like that.
I also like the fact that you watch documentaries of people that came out. You know, we humans, there is this psychological effect that you tend to be comfortable around somebody you believe has been in your situation, and that helps you to consider the possibility of doing that thing.
When I see somebody that has been in my situation and how he fell through, I believe there is a possibility for me to win because someone has won it. Often times, people remain where they are or don't try because they feel like it's impossible. And when they look for motivation in people and they don't really find it, your motivation becomes noise to their ears, they feels you are not in their shoes so you don't understand.
So, I do appreciate the documentary approach. It's a nice approach to me. And yes, we must all learn from your story to be conscious of how we make decisions, stick to our budget, don't ever borrow, make sure you settle offline priorities before you go online and gamble with huge amounts of money.
