Waddayaknow... DHL just dropped off the new miner. Got zero emails from Pango or DHL about it and Pango's site still has it tagged as 'Processing"...
At least it's here though Smiley

well that is cool.

I just did the newest firmware up grade.

upgrade-whatsminer-h6-20190220.15.bin

gear booted waiting for a result.

if issues still abound I will need to open machine up.

edit at steam

the controller connects to a bridge  which   connects to all 3 boards
__ __ __ __
    l    l    l

so if the bridge is tilted and not plugged into all 3 boards flush  you could have this issue.

new firmware screen shot

Yeah no news and it arriving is way better than no news and it staying in Limbo.

Looking forward to the video Phil. Did they think it was that part due to it being kinda a weak board then dropping off completely?

Hmm, and now we see that Pangolin is only selling the 33T version on there site, same $850 as the 31T was....
Wonder if this is why Pangolin has not not yet confirmed the order for a 31T that I placed last Monday. Zero emails from them about it and since last Tues the order status is 'Processing'.

So much for '2 days' eh?

well that sucks a whole week and no shipping.

I stayed up till late last night 1:20 am
I have an instructional video on remounting the 3 way data bridge to the 3 boards.  The tech thinks it could be loose from shipping.
I just woke up got to have my  8 hours sleep  so I will  get to the repair in an hour.
I will post photos of it.  Hoping it works out.

Hopefully you hear back late Sunday your time Philip. Pango tends to reply in a reasonable amount of time.

I just ordered

the board
Pair of fans
psu

from you (minefarmbuy) for spare parts

order # 10001352

I have enough gear  that having these parts is worthwhile.

If they could pack the replacement hashboard in with that order they would save money. ( one can hope Grin )

Phil did they  contact you about the bad board?

No , But to be fair I asked them at 4pm USA Friday  which I about 4 AM China Saturday>

There is good here to be learned.

1) I am going to buy a set of parts using minefarmbuy.
2) If you want a quiet miner running 2 boards on low power will be really quiet.
3) We will get to learn how well they respond to busted gear.

Phil did the hard reset help?

No  on second screen shot you can see it has done 1331 attempts to fire the dead board up.

So it is most likely a board issue. It also has the issue on low power.

here are the  good six at clifton  as you can see one is a bit under  at 24th the rest are good

When you open it up to pull the hash board, please take pics of how the PSU is connected to them. Curious to know if they use bus bars from the PSU and BM-style clips on the boards or something better like actual screw-down connections to the boards.

I just turned it off for 30 minutes.

I will power it up now  to see it that dead board fires up.

Nice one of those low tax provinces, I get hit pretty hard on everything I bring in. Enjoy, so far my 2 have been pumping the heat nicely to fight the ridiculous cold.

Yeah, it’s been ludicrous cold here in Alberta this past month too. Each miner is displacing about 3.5GJ of natural gas per month while keeping the house and garage warm. Still a bit of a work in progress to keep them quiet, but I’m getting there Wink

So far, after one day, my 31T averaged 31.5TH. Looks like I got a decent one.

Sorry to hear philip, not a lot of reports on whatsminers failing. I suppose the only caveat would be it's with someone who will keep us updated.

Pricing on the fan seems pretty high unless shipping is cheap. The I/O board as well. I'd look at other fan myself but I hate having to figure out cable length.

I'm sure you can handle everything but if you want some help philip let me know.

it is 2 fans not one so it is not that crazy high price.  but not cheap either.

I am waiting on info on the hash board replacement.
