Weird. DHL has always delivered my personal stuff without issues. Wonder if the tariffs are reducing imports and they've scaled back on labor?

DHL is horrible.  Mine came from China to NY in 2 days...  Then took 6 days to get to my house.  Due to being lost.. then found and shipped to amazon warehouse by accident.. then dropped off at my house and DHL was still even looking for it.  lmao.

Mine is now misplaced maybe I get it on fri.

All others came pretty fast. No issues.

I had three from them this was  fourth one. And a private buy for one.

Buysolar got his today.  That is our fifth one.

For my shipping issue at least Pangolin is in the clear. It was entirely a DHL boondoggle. They are who I communicated with for the Hold. The explanation was that their system for international deliveries for my location has them hand the package off to the 3rd party carrier right out of customs; and any request such as a H.A.L for the DHL facility doesn't register on the system until after the package scans in Canada.

Beyond that it's the local shipper that without authorization both times left the package without signature. The first delivery is why I wanted it held at DHL in the first place, once I realized delivery would be scheduled when I wasn't home.

The communication with Pangolin was easy and flawless as I had to contact them about payment, their countdown timer is super quick. I'm interested to see what they are able to come back with to help my current situation. I'm headed out of town for in a few days for the mountains, so I don't know how many fixes I'll be able to try. Either way they will both be in low power mode while I'm gone, so either I get a fix in before or I can take a crack at it when I get back.

Herb's would have definitely been an annoyance and out of pocket expense; and from what I gathered falls on Pangolin. I'm not sure what was wrong when it was placed originally or how it happened, but something must not have looked right to reach out to them right away. If the error was on their end right from the start I would have expected a full refund of shipping costs, but you take what you can get. And know I can add a tally to my known Canadians lol.

I'd have to check, Pangolin handled all shipping details. I would be surprised if they didn't insure shipments considering everything they send is a high value package.

It was delivered by a 3rd party carrier as I'd be considered a rural community off the beaten delivery path. I specifically did not want them delivering this package if I wasn't going to be home (bad experience when they delivered my T9+). It was just annoying that they still processed the hand off to them. They said it was something to do with requests being submitted before it enter the country.

I'll see what Pangolin has to say on the matter. Either way it's still working, and it wouldn't hurt to get some troubleshooting guidelines from them to disseminate.

now you are the second guy in Canada with a shipping issue.
it seems  they have a language barrier/cultural issue with shipping.

I think Herb Pean   had a billing address and a shipping address
they shipped to the billing address in his case.

In your case  the hold did not get put in.
To be fair bitmain did it with the t-9 if I read you correctly.

Was the package insured? And you said there was another carrier that dropped off without a signature?

that is what mine do on low power setting.

I also do 20.5 th and about 1280 watts on low which is 1280/20500 = 62 watts a th...

Yeah your numbers are what I was using as a benchmark, as I can't find published low power mode numbers. Yours have been up and running for a while, do they stay with the Freq they lock in at startup or does it cchange on an auto update type feature.

if you have 2 weak boards and total  15763  you should pull 978 watts

[...]

I wonder if DHL's 6 hours of  cold  hurt it...

That's what my guess was on this, the room ambient is about 20C average these are running in my basement. On Normal mode it's within spec for (TH/S), but at low power it seems to compound the issue. I am hoping they have some troubleshooting info to pass along, as I browsed the tabs I didn't see anything I could really dig into, even the API log data is pretty foreign for now; especially when it's not as simple as 100/105 chips or something.

I've fired off an email to see what I hear back. In the one to Pangolin I was sure to mention the issues I had with the delivery just to have everything covered and documented with them. Either way tonight I'll switch between the 2, this should net me 3-4 extra TH/S.

31.7 -> 20 hopefully
15.7 -> 30.5
47.4 -> 50.5

Here's what my low power mode unit shows in the status - All devices show 105 effective chips

GH/S AVG   Freq   Temps

SM1   487926371
SM2   439424965

978/15763 = 62 watts a th

which is not a disaster efficiency wise

all four of mine are good to go.

I wonder if the room is too cold for it.

-30c = fucking cold bro.

we had 9f yesterday  that is pretty cold -13c...

Yeah definitely not picnic weather, hence the attempt to get 8kw pumping in the basement. Just need to build soundproofing and I can get both back up to normal power mode.
Much closer to the 9f weather today, to my great relief on the way to work.

I'm reaching out to Pangolin and Whatsminer today to see if there are any support documents out. Anything in the way of troubleshooting or tweaking as the one unit just doesn't seem right, I'd also like to see a published spec for what to expect from low power mode.

I'm back to only getting 15.7 TH/S on that unit - haven't had a chance to test power draw, like won't before my trip this week. I gave it a reboot last night and will leave it for another 24 hours and see. Tonight I'm going to swap power modes on my 2 units to compare and see how my other unit (31.7 TH/S on normal power mode) runs.

Yay. So definitely loving these machines.

They arrived Friday, in the worst possible way. Left on my porch for minimum 6 hours on a good old -30C day. Good times. Even better I had to show up at their location to find out.
I lay a lot of blame on DHL for this, as I knew I'd be near their local hub and requested a hold at location, instead they gave it to the local courier, who instead of holding delivered ... without signature.

So Friday night was just an unboxing and warm up/dryout in case. Tested 1 Saturday in the garage, then hooked both up Sunday.

1 unit was delivering 31.6 TH/S  The other was doing 30.5 TH/S pretty nice.

I am currently running the lesser in Low power mode, at approximately 15.8  up over 17 TH/S .

Hoping this continues nearing the 24 hour mark im hoping to get closer to the 20.

'The right to privacy matters'
Yeah
My gear is :
131 th are m10s
 40 th  are Avalon
 20 th are innosilicon
230 th are used s9s most purchased from bitcointalk members some from eBay and just 3 from bitmain.

We will let it sit for a week and then tweak it. I think we need to add 4 more m10s . Slowly but surely.

All the s9s I have are set to middle speed at 1280 watts.  If I drop them to ultralow
They would take 780 watts I have 18 of them so that is a 9000 watt drop. Or 500 x 18.

That means that 4 m10s added net   9200-9000 = 200 watts

I lose 18x3.5 = 63 th dropping the s9 power
I gain. 4x 31 = 124 th adding the four m10s

A 61 th gain and power cap goes up 200 watts.

So in two months we will be near 480th

Then
Drop the 2 a721s   Add one more  m10  a gain of 20th. 31th-11th = 20th maybe 100 more watch.

We would then be at 500th.  That brings us to April which is when the solar gets installed.

5.3gh ltc  maybe more like 6.3gh as I think I have  two units pointed wrong.

The 4 M10's are beasts  right about 131th and 9200 watts

Quite impressive !

I will sleep better knowing they are not Bitmain's gear, that's for sure  Cool

I think he was saying that he provided both a shipping and a billing address but, out of fear they would ship to his billing address, opened a ticket 20 minutes after placing his order to confirm they were shipping to his shipping address and not his billing address. Pangolin confirmed they would ship to the shipping address. Tracking number is provided by Pangolin upon shipment which showed the package was going to the billing address instead of the shipping address.

Exactly,

They had 3 days to fix it (3 days after my order, and 3 days after they shipped) and they didn't do it.

I don't know.

It's not cool in my opinion.

EDIT: Most poeple have the same billing address and shipping address but I had not. Billing at my address but shipping elsewhere.
EDIT2: Anyway not much can be done anymore, i will take the shipping lost but don't trust them about changing address .... even before they ship. Either they have a bad comminication or i don't know ...
EDIT3: All 4 are working great
