Ripple is good for short term investment. Because bank are interested in the coin does not make it good long term investment and their decision will affect the market positively or negatively. So just be careful and at alert while investing.
There is doubt on the fact that Ripple serve for both long term and short term investment all depends on the level of profit that you want to make. One thing that is very important is for you know how crypto currency investment work i.e when buy and when to sell your ripple.

Long term seems like not good for ripple since in the last correction ripple did not recover till now.
It mean if we hold for long term we seems will lose huge money so i suggest to invest short term and you can deny then dont invest in ripple.

It's not only ripple, other coins are not steady rising either.
As for your questions, it is definitively a long term investment.
But again with crypto, everything can change in the long run,
so make sure to follow the news and the market .

Ripple is a long term investment for sure... ! Very safe investment.
when something only has huge rises that last for a very short time (for example a rise only in 2 weeks) and then the rest of the year that same thing is going down or best case scenario stays the same after the big dump, you can not call this thing a good long term investment!
because obviously that thing (which in this case is Ripple) is only performing well for a short time.

The coin has so much potential. That is really true as regards Ripple (XRP). This is one of the most solid project in the crypto world. Japanese Banks, even some United Nations (UN) bodies, and some solid companies around the world are using or contemplating to use the Ripple technology. But please take a look at the total supply of the coin. It is almost 40 Billion and the market cap is already at 35 Billion USD. This will not go easily reaching $3. I recommend that you ride the waves of this coin. There is more gains in it rather than long term.
For me, as the others crypto I'm holding, is a long term investments.......... short term are too volatile, but in long terms all the top 10 coins have a huge potential growth
Short term, I suppose that XRP would be manipulated. Whatever is in the the best interest of Ripple Labs (obviously my opinion).

there is no positive future for ripple, lot of hype in 2017 to attract masses but not it is struggling badly. Technology behind xrp is different and it represents centralized coin, 6 mighty banks decide upon the future of the coin. I can only hope to see it 3-5$ value but is will be xrp ath.

Ripple is no term investment for me. Its not so different from central banks when you consider unlimited supply. It can be created out of thin air to drop its price. I wouldn't touch with a stick even.. yeah.
Long term for sure, I don't see Ripple making huge gains this year, maybe it will hit earlier highs towards the end of the year but at this rate its a long hold..
To be XPT is a centralized currency controlled by Banks and its supply is manipulated by Financial institutions,XPR is good for short term trading.If you have handsome investment in XPR,you can make good profit on daily basis instead you hold it for long term.Its a centralized currency if you hold it for long term it may also crash.So short term investment is preferred in XPR.
the ripple is very good for investment in the long term because the result will greatly be doubled. though currently small, however, the development of these coins could be said to be very rapidly in the next few years later.
Well, ripple are not having it easy for obvious reasons, the fact that is backed by banks and other big financial institutions. So its gonna be a tough "long" hustle for them. And they have just been dealt another huge blow in the last 24hrs, Coinbase have announced that they wont list XRP on their exchange site, that's a tough one. Maybe they would change the decision, but I don't think anytime soon.
XRP is a great platform, but you'll need to hold it for ages in order to see any significant moves. And for that time frame, you may as well pick some of the other platform tokens.
Ripple for me the most negative coin for investment.Ripple is regulated by banks, that is, banks can optionally change price. I don't like it.
