If they're both doing great, then I wouldn't invest in either of them!  Look at the ones that no one else is looking at and put your money there.

I prefer Litecoin than Ripple. Why? Because Litecoin is slowly climbing up and continue to climb up. While Ripple is doing up and down with no consistent trend to follow.

Experts are very bullish about Litecoin predicting a $500-$600 price value for long term investment.

Both Ripple and Litecoin has been doing greatly in the market of late with litecoin even outperforming other digital currencies at some point.

between the two, which one would you invest in and why?
Ripple-this cryptocurrency is used in the system of real-time gross payments, as well as for currency exchange and money transfers. The Ripple Protocol was launched in 2012. Its goal is to provide "secure, instant and almost free global financial transactions of any size without chargebacks". According to some crypto enthusiasts, the Ripple payment system can become an “alternative to SWIFT”in the future.
It seems true if you didn't even watched the latest news and update about ripple. It gets a lot of decrease on its price. It's not yet to be used as a real time payment system and even IBM was choosing stellar rather than ripple. No one interested using it. only the banker interested to take over the ripple technology and no more. RIpple coin is totally useless.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Ripple is a network made for banks to speed up transactions and lower transaction/exchange fees for cross border/currency transactions. Their native currency (XRP) is what would be used to pay the fees. They were created out of thin air and at every given moment they can create new ones.

Litecoin on the other hand is a true cryptocurrency based on the decentralized blockchain principle. The coins were mined by people all from over the world from day 1.

Ripple seems to have a much faster growth. Looks to have more actual use in the future too. It’s heavily believed that it’s going to be added to Coinbase (would be VERY surprising if it wasn’t), and you know it’s gonna rocket from that. I would get in ASAP. Maybe take that ratio and make it 80/20 or 70/30 for Ripple. Ripple is surging while Litecoin doesn’t have much going on right now. You could buy a bunch of Ripple and sell some after you get a nice return and buy more Litecoin if you want.

Ripple already has 70 banks signed up, including some of the largest names in the industry. Ripple does not need every bank in existence to sign up. Several hundred will be great, but several thousand would be amazing (swift has 11,000 banks in network, so Ripple signing on thousands of banks is not difficult to do, given Ripples software is so far advanced when compared to Swift's GPI). Ripple themselves stated the following when comparing Swift to the latest blockchain offerings

XRP and LTC do not serve the exact same function. A marginally improved BTC clone is very different than XRP.
There is something special about XRP. It has the support of banks for cross border payments. No institutions have even considered using LTC for this purpose.
LTC does not have faster transactions. XRP is several orders of magnitude faster.

Why choose only one coin.  It seems to me better to invest in both coins.  And I think it's better to keep Ripple on a short term.

I do not believe in the success of Ripple and therefore I think it's better to invest in LTC.  But I doubt that the price for LTC will grow by the end of the year in 2 times.

I do not see the point of investing in these coins because these coins do not bring good profits.  I'd rather invest in ETH.

Ripple is only good for speculation, otherwise it's incredibly centralized and not-worthy of attention as it brings nothing new to the table.
LTC might see way more development -> way more price increase.

I tend to favor to ripple. the potential of this altcoin still great especially at the prices that could be said was little for this time. with all the developments included the cooperation of ripple that was made then it will certainly be making this altcoin will be more expensive if held down for the next few years investment
RIpple is a crap coin, and you know what? Coinbase has passed ripple and choose ETC to be listed on the its exchange site that means if ETC was even better than ripple althought that it's a fork coin of ethereum but it's even better than ripple.

both coin are potential coin to hold for a long term investment though the crypto market is volatile but research have shown that the value of crypto will rise in value.
for now I prefer to buy litecoin, because the price tends to be stable and not too low in price, maybe now in all markets are experiencing the same thing. but if you are patient, I believe this litecoin will be expensive again

it's good altcoin but it's still under Ethereum. Litecoin is a concept similar to Bitcoin, it seems that it hasn't used a smart contract system. ALtcoin is classified as a good altcoin and promising from its volume in the koinmarketcap.

This is a difficult choice, because in my opinion both have potential, both are coints that are worthy of calculation and I am sure that for future developments it will be even better, the matter of choosing between ripple or litecoin is better returned to each person

I'd support a ripple. Because I am also still investing at ripple. I see that ripple is nice. and it also has a great future. For that ripple has also become one of my favorite altcoin.
The rapid rise in the price of Ripple (XRP) fell on the first half of this year and allowed the crypto currency to confidently gain a foothold in the top three of the Coinmarketcap rating. At the moment capitalization of cryptocurrency XRP approaching 7 billion there was a time when the capitalization of the Ripple exceeds the total market value of the digital currency Ethereum.

For several years, Litecoin was "in the shadow" of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, trading around 3-4 dollars per coin. In March this year, in anticipation of the implementation SegWit began a rapid increase in the prices of “digital gold”. Now the price of Litecoin is approaching $ 75 per coin and, according to many analysts, this is not the limit. Cryptocurrency is represented on most exchanges and exchange platforms, and is accepted by many companies as a means of payment.

the value advancement of these two coins is great even I think both are one of the potential coins that will have costly cost later on subsequently from exceptionally hard to figure out which one is better yet in the event that I need to pick I will pick litecoin on the grounds that litecoin presently frequently utilized for exchange expenses so I think this is an or more for litecoin
A popular fork of bitcoin, often referred to as”digital silver". Litecoin was one of the first to activate support for the SegWit Protocol. However, Litecoin and before activation of Segregated Witness differed considerably faster transaction confirmation times than bitcoin. Currently, the project continues to develop under the guidance of its famous Creator Charlie Lee.I choose litecoin.
