Ripple always goes up and comes down more frequently. I prefer Litecoin to Ripple. I had stopped investing on Ripple right from the moment it ripped me off. But, that doesn't mean it isn't worth investing in. Every coin rises and falls, anyway. But, I prefer LTC to ripple.
I choose litecoin. Litecoin was created to be the next p2p payment intermediary, such as Bitcoin. However, it has a founder fully committed to development, the coin has a faster block processing speed that allows you to reward miners, has a more decentralized proof-of-work algorithm than Bitcoin.
Ripple has many advantages. And the most important of them is the popularity of this coin among banks. I'm sure that the price of this coin will grow for this reason. But LTC is also a very promising coin. If I were you I would invest in both of them.

I would invest Litecoin for now. Ripple is too expensive and it already increased too much since last december.

Litecoin is better than Ripple.Ripple is a bank owned,centralized crypto.I will never touch XRP for long term investment.I think there are other coins like Nano,ADA which are better than Litecoin,if you would like to conisder

It's not about the risk but about the principles. We should stay strong against that centralizers. The Litecoin looks much more reliable and adequate.
Yes, it's not about risk. Cryptocurrencies must be decentralized. They were created for that. That is why my choice is Litecoin.

Both Ripple and Litecoin has been doing greatly in the market of late with litecoin even outperforming other digital currencies at some point.
between the two, which one would you invest in and why?
I like Litecoin better. I am still holding XRPs I bought before and think that Ripple is not bad project, regardless of all the negative opinions about it. but Litecoin is more promising and has very good future in my opinion. It will show better profit in a short term, but it is good for long-term investment as well.

As about big altcoins, I have Ethreum and Ripple lying in my wallet and Ripple is about 40 percent of my portfolio. I think that this coin is better
Here’s my play for this month: put 1000usd in litecoin for when bitcoin rallies then the eventual swapping of bitcoin into alts. Anyone else planning on riding this btc wave to then swap onto alts?
Although Ripple may not meet the ideal of cryptocurrency for state regulation and decentralization, but for a long-term investment this is still one of the best options
If you have a lots of patience and willing to wait till this coin really proves its worth inside crypto and if those usage really meet and all the banks will use this coin then ripple can be much better investment, but if you have doubts and you are always looking for quicker achievements then go with litecoin as a Chinese bitcoin I think it can rise much quicker than ripple when Chinese market start to work together again.

Litecoin already get its value on market but Ripple has mor room to grow. So i think ripple has more potential then litecoin for price value.
But also atomic swaps on litecoin is really going nice and also tx fee is decreased on litecoin network. this will make litecoin more popular.
