Japan v Italy --- Italy -17 @ 1.88
Canada v USA --- Canada -12 @ 1.88
England v South Africa --- England -61 @ 1.88

I think the first two are realistic winning bets, Not so sure if the Red Roses can put up
61 points on the Springbocs

---URC---

Edinburgh are gone out to 1.21 against Zebre so I have a bet on there.

And I have the Stormers to beat Cardiff @ 1.28

I believe all of the South African internationals are back at the club's this weekend so they
are back at "full strength".

Not a bad weekend with Rugby betting.

In the WRWC Italy beat Japan but couldn't manage the 17 points difference so I lost that one.
Canada beat the USA 29-14 and England did manage to gather 61+ points over South Africa which was a totally one sided affair 75-0.

There is something wrong there, for South Africa being what I call a 'Rugby Nation' and being
the Men's World Cup holders it seems the Women's side needs more development.

In the last two games of the URC I had bets on, Edi burgh rightly won at Zebre but Cardiff
saw off the Stormers which is massive for them IMO, final score there was 30-24.

Rugby League World Cup

I have just two bets on - Ireland to beat Lebanon and Papua New Guinea to beat
the Cook Islands, I have done a -16.5 point spread on that one.

The market is suspended completely on the Lions Vs Edinburgh match, but I was able to place wagers on the other fixtures.

The women's competitions are also on this week-end.  I've got money on England and a couple of others too.  Are you betting on them?

Yes today I'm doing 3 bets for today. I'm feeling a bit free with the Satoshis.

0.1mBTC on each of the following:

Japan v Italy --- Italy -17 @ 1.88
Canada v USA --- Canada -12 @ 1.88
England v South Africa --- England -61 @ 1.88

Thanks for that Timelord, I don't know why I didn't go to the NRL site before, I have been
trying to keep up to date here but it's not easy >
https://www.intrl.sport/competitions/rugby-league-world-cup/

I haven't made any bets on R2 of the RLWC yet. but those bets on the points spread are
indeed a bit risky.

Rugby Union

Our two bets in the URC paid out.

The bulls beat Benneton 44 to 22
and Connacht beat Scarlets 36 to 14

I was going to back both Edinburgh and Leinster but the odds are too low but I'm going to
go with the Stormers to beat Cardiff.

In six hours time, Australia take on Scotland, followed this time tomorrow by Fiji Vs Italy then a few hours later, a doubleheader, England Vs France followed by New Zealand's pounding of Jamaica.

I do see some one sided games listed based on the odds...

Australia -62.5 @ 1.81 v Scotland +62.5 @ 1.93 - it's obvious Australia will win but will
they clock up minimum 63 points difference?[/quote]

I always get nervous placing bets on the points spread - mainly in case I'm reading the scores back-to-front and am giving the other side the higher points thus loosing out when they don't win.

Quote
England -38.5 @ 1.94 v France +38.5 @ 1.81 - I think that's a more realistic handicap or at
least achievable for England.

Same here, to win by such a considerable difference of points, I would like to see better odds for the less favoured team.

Wales' loss to Cook Islands was put down to Wales having no NRL players in their team.

Round Two of the RLWC this week sees Australia unbackable against Scotland ( $101 ). Likewise, England is unbackable against France ( $21).  New Zealand unbackable against Jamaica ( $101).  Samoa against Greece ( $101) and Tonga to face off against Wales coming in at $41.

I've gone for Fiji over Italy:  Fiji - Italy Money Line Fiji @ 1.09 Taken Amount: 0.06 mBTC Possible Payout: 0.065 mBTC

Ireland over Lebanon: Lebanon - Ireland Money Line Ireland @ 1.65 Taken Amount: 0.06 mBTC Possible Payout: 0.099 mBTC

and the only other match I can put money on, PNG over Cook Islands:  Papua New Guinea - Cook Islands Money Line Papua New Guinea @ 1.09 Taken Amount: 0.06 mBTC Possible Payout: 0.065 mBTC

Always the optimist, I've put a parlay on France and Greece:  England - France Money Line France @ 21.00 Tonga - Wales Money Line Wales @ 41.00 Taken Amount: 0.06 mBTC Possible Payout: 51.66 mBTC  (my preferred parlay of the three paying one hundred to one would have netted 61,818 BTC if they win & if the betting site accepted the wager.

I'll put a wager on Canterbury over Wellington Canterbury - Wellington Money Line Canterbury @ 1.48 Taken Amount: 0.06 mBTC Possible Payout: 0.089 mBTC and the Vodacom Bulls Benetton Treviso - Vodacom Blue Bulls Money Line Vodacom Blue Bulls @ 1.64 Taken Amount: 0.06 mBTC Possible Payout: 0.098 mBTC and con Connacht Rugby - Scarlets
Money Line Connacht Rugby @ 1.42 Taken Amount: 0.06 mBTC Possible Payout: 0.085 mBTC

Just checking over the line ups for Round 6 of the United Rugby Championship this coming
weekend and I see some interesting betting opportunities.

---

Benneton at home with the Vodacom Bulls visiting, I'm going with the Bulls, they should
have too much firepower for the Italian side.

Vodacom Bulls @ 1.51

---

Connacht at home against Scarlets, I'm going with Connacht, they lost to top side
Leinster last week and while not managing to score only held Leinster to 10 points.

Connacht @ 1.4

---

I'll probably also go with EdinburghVisitors to win against Zebre.

And Leinster at home to beat Munster.

I don't see odds on these games yet.

Well Wales should win that one, it will just be a debate on how many points.

~Actually just looking at the world rankings the Cook Islands are not too far behind,
11% and 7% respectively. I guess as a "Rugby Nation" Wales is focussed on the Union
game rather than League.

Yea Welsh would be able to give some insights into that.

I gave up after a season of placing bets on the UK premier football league because of the number of draws.

Once the underdogs have been pounded by the top of the ladder teams there should be some fantastic games when the more evenly matched teams play against each-other.

Wales has yet to play - I'm wondering if @Welsh will have a look in?

I have a bet on Ireland to win -34.5 @ 1.91 !
Those first two games are very one sided, goes to show who are 2 of the powerhouses of
Rugby League!

Rugby Union

WRWC

I have two bets on for this weekends games, both are underdogs, Italy against Canada,
the odds here are a bit strange, these teams should be evenly matched. I took Italy +10.5 @ 2.07
and South Africa +8.5 @1.67
, again I would have thought South Africa V Fiji would show
Fiji being the underdogs.

My two bets on te WRWC came in, Both Italy and South Africa lost their games but within
my handicap ranges - all good.

Rugby Union

Round 5 of the URC kicks off this evening. I have 2 bets on this weekend, Ospreys host the
DHL Stormers, The stormers are favourites to win this one. I also have Benneton to beat
Edinburgh who are playing at home, this is a massive test for Benneton who sit in 4th position.
I took them at 5.0 to win, it's a long shot.

My pic on Benneton to beat Edinburgh was VERY optimistic and they were absolutely beaten
out of the stadium by 53 - 8. They are probably the best Italian team but they will have a lot
to do when meeting stonger teams.

. . . and a bit of a rarity happened between Ospreys and the Stormers - draw match 16-16,
well donr to the Ospreys, I really thought they were going to be happered.

difficult for Leinster at times.

That's a massive parlay win for $1. The tricky one in that is Wales to beat New Zealand.

The first game this weekend could be a close one, Scotland and Australia are evenly matched,
and both teams need to get a win after being beaten last week. I think I'll go with Australia.

Second game, USA should beat Japan

France v England In game 3 is massive, two closely matched teams, I just might back
the French underdogs.

Italy Canada could be a great game, evenly matched again, probably Canada here IDK

South Africa should win the last game of the weekend.

I'll investigate the odds a bit more and make a few bets.

The women's World Cup on Saturday sees a multitude of countries competing.

Scotland Vs Australia*
USA* Vs Japan.
France Vs England*
Italy Vs Canada*
Wales Vs New Zealand *
Fiji * Vs South Africa.

* Denotes favoured by the punters online with lower odds.

A parlay on all six less favoued would next $341,000 if it were accepted, however on just four (Scotland,Japan,France and Wales) yields a return of $26,280 on a $1 bet.

Prices are now available for the 2023 Euro Champions Cup with Leinster favourites on $3 and both Actress and Northampton wallowing on $67 then at the bottom of the table are the Ospreys at $201.

Well know who wins on the 21st May, 2023 after one a.m. here time.

Closer to home, in NZ this weekend,

Wellington* Vs Auckland
Canterbury* Vs BOP

I'm agreeing with the online punters with Wellington and Canterbury winning their respective matches.

Catching up from the weekend I had 2 wins from 3 in the URC, Glasgow beat the Bulls 35-21
to wreck my perfect betting round.

Looks like after a shaky start from the warriors they are back to winning.

Rugby Union

Round 4 of the URC is currently underway. I have 3 bets on this weekend.

Bulls to beat Glasgow Warriors
Ulster to beat Ospreys
Stormers to beat Zebre

I know we are only 4 rounds in but the Italian side Benneton are going well with 3 wins
and are in 4th spot, bet yea a lot of Rugby yet to be played.

In the WRWC Italy beat the USA after a poor first half they finished up 22-10.
You were right Timelord about that one.

For tomorrow I have a small bet on Italy to beat USA, in world rankings they are 5 and 6 respectively!

The RLWC starts next week and first up the underdogs (according to the tab.com.au website who were very accurate in the 2022 NRL series) England, Fiji, PNG and Lebanon makes for a $25,000 parlay at one dollar down.   Grin

Whaaat?
Now if those wins play out it will be some scoop - best of luck with that.
I will look into the games ahead during the week.

Rugby Union

URC

I have 3 bets on the URC all playing today and I have my first winner already

Rugby Union

Stormers to beat Zebre

There was a big win for my home team Connacht last night, they hosted Munster and got their
URC campaign up and running with a win 20 - 11. I heard during the week that captain Jack Carthy
was going to be back for the game, I knew it would be a hugh plus for the team but with bundee
Aki still on his ban I thought Munster would win, I didnt bet on that one.
Connacht have a lot of catching up to do after losing their first 3 games.

Womens World Cup

Just checking in with what happened today:

Australia 17 - 41 New Zealand
South Africa 5 - 40 France
Fiji 19 - 84 England - So yea that 56.5 handicap on England would have payed.

Rugby Union

World number 1 England play Fiji who are world #21, the handicaps are -56.5 @ 1.82 v
+56.5 @ 1.89
56 points is a massive score, I would be half tempted to do Fiji for example.

I'm just having a look now to see if I can place any bets - England won not that long ago, so the ladies should be able to take on Fiji quite convincingly.  From recollection, New Zealand are a stronger team against arch rivals Australia while I'm not sure on the South African or French stats.

Japan might beat Canada, Italy should walk over the USA while the England Vs Scotland game will be very close I would imagine.

Tomorrow is the kick off for the WRWC, Roll it have the games listed but the books
are set at handicaps, I suppose that is because of the big divide in talent in the sides.

+56.5 @ 1.89
56 points is a massive score, I would be half tempted to do Fiji for example.
