The retreat of Ukrainian troops from Severodonetsk city in the Luhansk Oblast of the country is a pivotal moment in the ongoing conflict. “Success of the Russian army… considerably diminishes the morale and psychological condition of the Ukrainian army personnel. In 30th Mechanised Brigade deployed near Artyomovsk, there are mass cases of alcohol abuse, drug use and unauthorised abandonment of combat positions.”

However, peace is a long way off — several months away, perhaps. In the speech by Russian President Vladimir Putin last week at the SPIEF in St. Petersburg, he made no references to peace negotiations. Putin hardly referred to the fighting.

Meanwhile, three highly provocative moves by the opposing side within the past week are significant markers indicating that the conflict may aggravate. On the arrival of the HIMARS, Ukraine Defence Minister Oleksiy Reznikov ecstatically wrote wrote on Twitter on Thursday, “HIMARS have arrived to Ukraine. Severodonetsk - destroyed around 90 % of buildings
Volnovakha - destroyed around 85 % of buildings
Rubizne - destroyed around 80 % of buldings
Popasna - destoyed around 80 % of bulidings.

First one - 15th of March
Second one - 28th of April
Third time - 25th of June

Two times (28th of April and 25th of June) they hit civilian buildings.

Let us look into what russians hit by the third time:
- Civilian building (1 missile)
- kindergarten (1 missile)
- another civilian building (1 missile)
- roof of one (!) of many factory workspaces (1 missile)

25 % accuracy.

So what they can do with such accuracy is to destroy civilian infrastructure, that's all.

As it is, any fool can see that Russia can destroy anything they want any time they want in any part of Ukraine.  Clearly civilian infrastructure is not a target, and it's even pretty clear that, for now, the Russians are being surprisingly careful to try to avoid unnecessary collateral damage.

Judging by the destruction of walls and pillars, the explosion itself was somewhere behind - and then from
it started a fire in the mall itself.
The mall itself is made of highly flammable materials: what some take
for the sounds of exploding ammunition can easily turn out to be a crack
from deforming structures or the sound of bursting glass.
Now, at the suggestion of Zelensky, all the world media are writing about a deliberate strike
