I believed bitcoin is good long investment but i doubt it can last that long until my grand children, i think i prefer saving gold for my grand children, it is a safer option for me

I like bitcoins, so I figured instead of holding them, why not trade with them? The returns would be more (I think), right now I'm in the experimental phase checking out the exchanges with the lowest fees, recently I found one: snapcard.io, 0.5% fees for selling/buying. That beats even coinbase, so I just might start with that and see how it goes Grin

might be possible for me because I want my grand children to understand where this currency came from even I'm 3 years behind I still searching more info about the coin origin and how this coin move so fast like this, so when my grandchildren ask me about this project I can give a sample and I'm sure in their coming age bitcoin already exist and usable in any how.

though you are planning to hold it for your kids? i doubt it would be a good decision because in this way you cannot be guaranteed that there will not be a better technology
I can't take any point from that, we know every time a new technology will always appear and it's will be a guarantee for us and there will always be renewing an old technology.

What you should save for you children are the new coins that are cheaper as of now because they've be valuable in the future. BTC cost must so you'd have to spend a lot for keeps but if you just invest to some coins like those on ICOS, you help the community grow and at the same time when your grand kids already learned about these coins, they will also know how much it had grown and its value as well.

But this can quickly get into some weird trust issues with your lawyer who keeps said will that you have left behind the orders to give your theoretical children the remaining bitcoins you have.

This is because, of course, you need to write down your private keys to your bitcoins wallet(s) and give put them with your will... now whether you trust your lawyer to not try and steal your bitcoins is your own prerogative, but I for one wouldn't be so ok with that.

This might have the potential to become either a big problem or good for bitcoin in the future, because if more of us who own a decent amount of bitcoins start dying off one by one without sending them to other people, the amount of bitcoins in circulation start going down.  Yes, this will make bitcoins more scarce; but what point is "burning" bitcoins in this way too much?  When will it start hurting the bitcoin economy?

Probably this is never going to happen, first of all i am not planning to have any kids or grandchildren but besides that i am not the kind of guy who likes to keep his money and watch them grow i like to spend them as much as i can.

Bitcoin is a long term project. Therefore is makes sense to save small parts over a long horizon. Do you save Bitcoins for your (grand) child or children?

For those who do not have (grand) children (yet), would you save Bitcoin for them if you would have (grand) children?
No i don't save bitcoin because it is high fluctuating of price, high risk and i am always trading. I save only in gold because it is more safe than bitcoin but it is just my opinion, i hope another users give their opinions too.

I will only save bitcoin for my children, cause we dont know what will happen to bitcoin after 20 to 40 years.

I would leave them land, gold, valuable assets and even fiat before I left them bitcoin. There is absolutely no promise that bitcoin will be popular, still used, or even legal by the time my unborn children have their own children. I intend to leave a little something for all of my blood beyond me, and bitcoin may be a part of that portfolio. But it won't be a very high percentage.

Wen Rolex?
I have thought about that too. But I haven't secured my future either (I'm in my 20s), so first bitcoin has to help me with my own life and then I'll be glad to keep some for my grand children.
Yes we need it now also for our daily needs so why we save it for  our grandchilden? How about if some accident happen you was killed before you see your first son ? What will happen to your bitcoin if they don't know that you had it. Or they know it but they don't know what's the key to open your account .the bitcoin
Just wasted

It's a good idea to save bitcoins for future generation cause maybe it will be good money for study and living , we can't know how much money will bitcoin cost in future.

Yeah and next generation will simply love the entire concept of bitcoin and we can also teach them how to earn bitcoins once they are mature enough to understand things around them.
