in my opinion, students should use school uniforms, in addition to reflecting the school's identity, it also reflects the courtesy and customs of the eastern world that is hospitable and polite, I think uniform is part of it, so it should not be left behind,
Uniforms are not meant for discriminating students of one school from the others, it is meant for arousing the feeling of unity among the students
It is very boring and the students must be allowed to wear whatever they like.
I think they are necessary but only if enforced strictly. I think the point of them is to stop any kids feeling ostracised due to the quality of their possessions. However if this is loosely enforced and kids are allowed to wear certain brands of trainers I think this defeats the point.
Is uniform really necessary to students? Do we really need to formalize students to study? In most asian countries many require School uniform, mostly because of distinction of schools. However in the US, students can wear whatever they want for as long as they follow the dress code of the school on what is considere appropriate. Well for me no , it's not affecting the focus of the child either he/she wear a uniform or not, in countries like asia it's not necessary still depend though. And the reason why they or why uniform is needed because from the word uni to unite. It's an aspect of discipline, and to know where or the identity of the school.

Yes it is necessary because through it, people can notice that a student is a student. Wherever students go, they will easily be notices and may avail the discounts for them.
students don’t have to worry about peer pressure when it comes to their clothes. When everyone is dressed the same, worrying about what you look like isn’t so important. There is no competition about being dressed in the latest trend, which would put a great deal of financial pressure on students and parents.
I think it's necessary specially to those elementary pupils. It is easier to identify them when they are in the crowd outside the school. It is also a good way to discipline students so they know what is the proper dress in school and soon in the office.
However, in college, I don't think that it is necessary (besides, there are free days in school when you are not required to wear a uniform), as long as it's decent enough that they won't look like a bystander in the subways.

Yes i think school uniform is necessary to wear of every student, because if you wear school uniform you are easily notice that you are a student and distinguished the school where you from. This is necessary so that every student look formal and uniform by wearing same kind of clothes.

I agree that they can be boring. But in the schools, such "boring" uniforms are a necessity, as we need strict discipline in such institutions. Schools are not a place to show-off your expensive designer clothes and jewelry.
The purpose of school uniform , it gives the identity to the students so that people know which school they are. And another reason is if everyone is wearing the same outfit there is a less chance that someone would be bullied because of the poor looking outfit. They also reduce issues with "dress code" and having to argue with parents and students about what is appropriate to wear in school.

In my country, students from pre-school to university wear uniforms. I think uniform is required so that the students are distinguished which schools they are enrolled to. But in the university, there are some courses that dont require uniforms, like Engineering. Uniforms can also help because the students act and behave properly since they are wearing the school's pride and identity.
