I think it depends entirely with the educational institutions. School uniforms distinguish
the identity that corresponds with it’s reputation and quality in terms of education and
academia. I do think it’s important though it sends out a message of uniqueness. It also
shows discipline and order, you’re not gonna wear a uniform forever might as well try it
and live through it in highschool and preschool.

The school uniform is an important element of the school life. We believe it has numerous benefits; helping students to focus on their work and their activities while at school, encouraging positive social interaction amongst pupils and even making life a little easier for parents. I'm torn regarding this. In a way, I would prefer to not wear my school uniform so that I can be more relaxed or have freedom to go wherever I go without being tagged as a student of x school/uni. But I would also like to agree that school uniforms are important to put a certain distinction to a student and in that way, a student will be mindful about his/her actions, whereabouts since he/she is representing the school/uni itself. Plus, it's also another problem solved right away, since it's so hard to figure out what to wear everyday in school. You will have to buy lots of clothing/footwear to mix and match.
Countries have each own culture and beliefs. School uniform is one way of remaining the cultural school dress. Without uniform some school looks like disrespectful to their own school and to their ancestors. This is a big issue in nowadays because some principals or Dean or the president of one school can make it in corruption mode that seems right for the entire system but actually have the big defects inside the system. US or China or Asea school uniforms applied in some schools specially in lower level to determine their belongingness.
Honestly, I do not like uniforms. They're super hot to be into and very uncomfortable. Yes, it distincts a school from another but ever heard of school lanyards??? It's very expensive to buy uniforms especially if you had grown out of it.
In the other hand, I quite understand why. It is also for security of the school, to easily distinct the school students from those that isn't. Also, saves the time especially for girls to actually come up with something to wear.

I hate uniforms! I just don't like uniformity in dressing. That's my instinct. I had wanted to pursue Nursing in first degree but I stopped because of the school uniform.

For me, students need to wear unform because it will identify them where school they belong. It is also nice to see students in uniform to look neat and clean. In other hand, it's OK to have uniform to have less dirty clothes to wash.

School uniforms are mostly required to save the parents cost of buying some clothes to wear there children. It's also best to look all students wearing in uniforms. The word 'uniform' means same dress. students may be from rich or poorest house, but in school they are all same. That is what a uniform is meant for.

In my country, there is no uniform requirement in the colleges and I believe that in most of the countries that is the case. What is the need for enforcing uniform in the colleges? No one is going to like it, especially the students. Let them wear whatever they want.

I'm torn, I see the value in having everbody dressed equally to maybe send a deeper message that we are all equal. However there is also something to be said about forcing everyone to conform, almost getting us used to wearing suits and ties sat in an office working a 9-5.
