If it was me, i would like to do nothing, let the altcoins keep staying in the wallet until the price pump, if it was value, it will pump sooner or later in this crazy BULL.
May be there is 1000X coin just sleeping in your wallet.

Apparently the famous influencers do not want to sell their DogeCoin, such is the case of Elon Musk and Mark Cuban, now many who want to sell their Doge may take this into account, when Elon Musk makes only one tweet, it is a new ATH for Doge.

Quote
“For your information, the Mavericks’ sales in Dogecoin have increased 550% over the past month. We have now sold more than 122,000 Doge in merchandise! We will never sell one single Doge ever. So keep buying.”

If you have Doge, I think it is a good time not to sell and wait a little longer, also Bitcoin is wanting to continue rising ... If Doge follows the path of Bitcoin it will be a new ATH without a doubt.

Hi guys,

a question which i had discussed with some of my friends before:

If you were invested heavy in alts but rather light in btc lets say 30% BTC / 70% alts you made a good profit in dollar.
BUT i have the feeling i wasted so much BTC to buy Alts and right now BTC has surpassed many of them by far.

Do you think it would be wise to sell some Alts for BTC right now?
Or is BTC dominance to high?

Really interested in your thoughts!

Kind regards.
Because you are making some bad decisions .

Altcoin is profitable mate, if you will only Enter and Exit in right timing ?

I am gathering profit now from altcoins that i having , so i know that you are just not making high in altcoins instead you are denying the chance to win in your investing .
There couldnt have been a better time to be invested in the "right" altcoin project.

That's what i am saying . "TIMING" is the Key.

I am personally not sure of that way because for me it would be better to keep it separate, I also did it separately even though some of the altcoins I still hold today and have not thought about selling them to bitcoin. I just wanted to stay in the original plan where I made investments in altcoins as well as bitcoin separately, because then I would actually be profiting from a different basket.
I prefer to sell altcoins anytime if the price goes up and then buy again if the price goes down, unlike in BTC I don't allow myself to sell it even before the price goes up. It's my long-term investment while I be able to sell altcoin when I'm satisfied what I've gained, but there are some alts that I also prefer not to sell like BNB and ETH.
BTC now is too expensive since I have already some BTC in my wallet which I brought when it still cheap, I'm just focus on finding some altcoins that worth to invest like XRP, THETA, RUNE and ENJ.

Bagging your assets is the best thing to do when you are aiming for a good investment, both long and

short have a correspondent alts that may fits for your needs, all you have to do is to keep searching and

not to rush it out, there are many projects around and like you, BNB and ETH are those alts for keep, long

term position same a like with BTC will bring you a much decent benefits.

why do you hesitate to choose altcoins over bitcoin? because of the fact that currently bitcoin or altcoin can both get profit, as long as we can be good at processing it well. My advice is to choose between choosing BTC or altcoin according to your wishes, do it well, then make a profit

I'm proud that I've bought ETH at a low price ($900+) last year. I hope it will go higher than my projected target which is 75% of my investment and then will invest in another altcoin on the market like YLD, Pundi X, and Blocknet (BLOCK)
Long-term, until next month or December is sounding very safe. So NO, I don't plan to sell it  Grin
Be very careful, I know that a lot of people are very happy with the results they are getting with altcoins and that's fine you should be happy about your good results but you should never invest in altcoins for the long term, you should always be ready to sell your coins and get out of it because we know that once this market begins to crash altcoins are going to crash way faster than bitcoin, this is not an opinion this is a fact and you should be ready for it.

Thanks very much for the awnser! You mention not to hold alts for longterm..Maybe this goes to far but have you any thoughts on my portfolio // exit strategy?
(FYI: i do this discussion because of my love to crypto and investing. Of course i will do my own research and make my own descicions.

My precise portfolio is:

BTC: 40%
ETH: 23%
ADA: 12%
VECHAIN: 10%
IOTA: 4%
Link 2%
Last 10%--> AAve, Zil, BQX, LTC, NEO, TRX, GRT, Verge, DOT

i think i will hold on to 70% of my top 4 invests - means selling 30% when bullmarket is ending (indicator for me is Galssode Charts (e.g.NUPL), Crypto Quant outflow/inflow of exchanges and others).I missed that trought the last bullrun and sat to complete bear market Smiley...

And additionally i will sell 70% of my other alts for btc when altseason (which is already there) is peaking out.

Looking forward to your reply.
BTW Big thanks to everybody in this community i really appreciate all awnsers!

What kind of alts are you holding? If its an establish one then stay still. Alts season will occur in time, keep in mind that investing on alts are profitable as well but sometimes it doesnt happen during btc bullrun, it has a season on its own.

Just hold your altcoins because its not a bad decision to allocate 70% for it. If you want to join the ride of btc IMO you need additional capital to buy, however not at this moment because the price is so expensive.

Nice man! Thank you very much for the input!

I personally would prefer to hold more of Bitcoin and probably distribute around 60% of my investment to other altcoins that have great possibilities in the crypto world that’ll be of good use in the near future too. And would most probably do short term trading with altcoins and long term trading for bitcoin.
60% for alts and 40% for bitcoin? I think you should increase more in bitcoin. But if that's your plan and you're firm to hold 40% of bitcoin for your portfolio and 60% goes to alt.
As long as you'll not touch anymore your bitcoin for that percentage and you let the 60% flow to different altcoins of your choice which you think might grow with your chosen altcoin.

Short trades for alts is very possible it can bring good earnings if the timing is right, while with Bitcoin

is very advisable to keep it for long term, a good future investment that you'll see the best benefits

after some months or years, depending to how you really appreciate the market and how deep you

are willing to take for the best interest.

I think it's a division that can be continued and you can directly choose the altcoin that you want to invest, because in investing today more benefit in some potential altcoins, and the risk we bear is not too big so we can rely on it to invest, but if bitcoin price continues to increase then the profit we can also be very large but the capital we spend is also large.

I think you have done a very good investment strategy 30% in bitcoin and 70% in altcoin, it looks so perfect. You don't need to sell part of the altcoins you own to increase the bitcoin percentage. Especially now that the altcoin market is on the right track, you will benefit greatly if you invest in the right altcoin.

If you’re patient you can wait, for sure you believed in your altcoins before you purchased them. Sometimes we don’t need to rush things, but its your decision to make. Every coin in the market has their moments if you get easily carried away by your emotions it will be hard, stick to your goals.

The right time to sell altcoins is when the market is in a bullish trend like it is today. you will be able to get the maximum return on investment.
Perform technical analysis in order to give you confidence and also at what price to sell it. but before investing, of course, in conducting our own analysis,
we already have a target that at what price will sell. and actually this can be made into a range that we can do for Take Profit

for me choosing bitcoin or altcoin has the same good market, it's just how we process our assets because in crypto anyone can be successful from any coin bitcoin or altcoin can be an option of your choice according to your beliefs
