Bitcoin is not yet done so I think if you choose the bitcoin you still earn profit. But in my opinion I think it is really good if you invest and do not sell your altcoins because for me the altcoins will gives more profit than the bitcoin. Because the times of possible to be highest is times 2, of the current price but the times of possible for the altcoins to increase is more than 2x if that is potential coin like the ethereum , ripple and bnb.
This is what others been thinking off when it comes to possible profits which if they do decide to stick out with bitcoin then they can only get 2x maximum
but with altcoins with low price and low cap then they can possibly earn 100x-1000x into their investment thats why there are really people whom do target out
altcoins and focusing on it despite of the common recommendation of the masses which we should stick with bitcoin.Actually this is really a matter of choice
because some people do choose a bit of security when it comes to long term aspects thats why some do play bit safe and some do play with fire.

BTC is the most valuable cryptocurrency and that's undeniable, so you are free to choose...
BTC or Altcoin has the same potential price increase, it's just different times of vulnerability. ADA, BNB, ETH are examples of Altcoins that have more than 7x rose in recent times and they are really profitable. I made hundreds of dollars from past ADA bulls. so just choose the best cryptocurrency and you have nothing to lose.
many altcoins are making the high pump this month.
such as DOT and ADA that have provided benefits to you.
I don't get from ADA, but I get from BNB. the strong pump that occurred in the market from the beginning of the year that not many people expected to make altcoins also respond to this pump.
even low-priced altcoins like NPXS, AOA, and BTT.
at this time the altcoin season has almost evenly occurred in all altcoins in the market.

Hi guys,

a question which i had discussed with some of my friends before:

If you were invested heavy in alts but rather light in btc lets say 30% BTC / 70% alts you made a good profit in dollar.
BUT i have the feeling i wasted so much BTC to buy Alts and right now BTC has surpassed many of them by far.

Do you think it would be wise to sell some Alts for BTC right now?
Or is BTC dominance to high?

Really interested in your thoughts!

Kind regards.

I don't think if that is good idea to sell your altcoins just for bitcoin.. Many altcoins out there that has more potential than bitcoin like polkadot, cardano, binance coin, they can increase multiple times. Bitcoin is good for long term investment but if I have money to spare I rather to invest in altcoins.
Agreed, betting into the new tech is totally worthy. So many people have become the new millionaires caused by this. I personally will pick altcoins as my first choice rather than bitcoin.
Bitcoin is only worth for the big buyers. As a medium buyers and i would never try to buy that.
We must see how binance early adopters have become the next millionaires caused by it was getting increased so hard.
That proves new altcoins are really worth right now.

If we look at current market conditions it seems that BTC dominance is more dominant and of course this makes BTC prices continue to experience corrections in the market because many traders or investors prefer to sell their altcoins with the current BTC pair and of course make the altcoin season will be a little it is late this year, although I believe that BTC is more dominant now, but I will hold on to a few altcoins for the long term and hope that when the altcoin season comes I will get big profits.

Definitely it's going to be tough decisions to make right now, since bitcoin struggles to rise while on top value right now. That's better to take more time to grow your alts before deciding when to sell all of it. By the time, when you fail on that specific decisions you might miss the opportunity to earn those potential profit. So don't rush, analyze what's best for your asset and don't forget to read every updates.
When bitcoin has hard time going up, crypto market doesn't go up that much neither, it just goes up a bit but not a lot, that's why it is not a good way to invest if the only thing you are hoping for is bitcoin not going up a lot but others going up a lot.

I personally believe that altcoins only gain value together when bitcoin does, sure there could be here and there coins that go up during the stagnant period as well but those are rare and we never know which one will do that so picking one is hard choice. That is why I create a portfolio of coins, it has bitcoin and it has altcoins, that way I feel more at ease with myself since if bitcoin goes up altcoins go up as well and if bitcoin stops, there could be some coins that go up if I am lucky and if not it will be there for a while like bitcoin does, it works out in both cases so it is cool to have it like this.

selling some alt for btc is not a problem. but you may have to try to buy altcoins that are still low-priced and potential, maybe this can make you profit when your investment is successful and gets a high price.
seeing high btc dominance, altcoins will usually follow higher.
That is a good idea. But people tend to buy the coin which has rally and expect that they can follow the price increase and make a profit. But the truth is they can not make a profit, especially if they just buy and sell the coin without analyzing the price. Buying the altcoins at a low price will always be recommended, but they can not always get the right coin to buy, so it will need more research to find the coin.
That's the biggest reason why people end up losing money, they end up putting their money into something that is going up and they lose money. You do not put money into something that is going up, you put money in it before it goes up, if you are not sure what is going to end up going high then you should not put money into it, if you are sure about it going up then you should be spending money to make it go up yourself of at least buy beforehand.

Obviously nobody could say that it should be done this way or that way because everyone has their own way of trading, but if you buy something that is going up that means you will end up losing money if it stops going up. I have seen people losing thousands of dollars because of things like this, there is nothing wrong with buying when things are low, keep buying as long as it keeps going down and do not be afraid.

I would rather have 70% in BTC and 30% in alts than vice versa.
really 70% better for bitcoin because bitcoin will benefit more than alt coins

I am happy to see this moment because I can sell some of my altcoins in USDT or bitcoin.
If you see that you are already in the green state then selling your assets to either USDT or BTC
surely the wise move to do, simply harvesting your profits.
I am selling some part of my bitcoin at $58k and waiting for another moment to buy at a low price.

I see that some of the altcoins can break the new ATH in USDT, so I am making a profit in USDT, which I can use to buy bitcoin when the bitcoin price is down.
Grab your profits then wait for another entry to rinse out your good opportunities to earn more.
Already use that time to get profit by selling some part of bitcoin. I am not sure if I can rinse and repeat, but I still trying to buy low and sell high. I hope I can get the right time to trade.

But with the increase of bitcoin price now, I think I need to wait for a while to see the downtrend, and maybe I can use my time to see the other altcoins. I hope the other altcoins can increase too so I can make more profit.
If you are not comfortable with BTC, choosing another alternative is the best thing to do, there are
assets that also good for both long and short term investment.
Nah, bitcoin is the best investment for me besides making money from the altcoin. The altcoins help me profit in the short term, while bitcoin is both long and short term investment.

I'd hope to see any progress with my altcoins holdings right now, but that doesn't commence since bitcoin rises at intense value. If one days all altcoins market will have a bullrun too, maybe selling all of them will be a good plans for the future of my asset. Diverting with bitcoin can be the best strategy to have while the huge potential is there to happen, when it's capable to reach even $100k this year or next.

crying and regret will be the last thing in your life! Why? Since we haven't entered altcoin season yet,
do you remember 2018? yeah all altcoins have increased by more than 10x in 1 to 2 days, how about this year?
I think this year is the year of accumulation, so don't sell, keep buying when the price is corrected.

you said you already disccused this matter in your co leagues before ? so what have you learned from them , didnt you trust your friend and why you are discussing this matter again ? if i have invested more money in alts but get a good return at the end why will i doubt  .

you didnt waste money but waste money will only mean that if you didnt get anything in return . you can sell alts if your going to profit after it and feel free to switch in btc but actually i can sense that both alts and btc will go up .
actually many predictions say that this year is the year altcoins to increase, so I agree with you that there is no need to sell your altcoins to convert to bitcoin because the two will move together to get an increase.

but if someone wants to change from altcoin to bitcoin because of the distrust of altcoins it is also not a problem. the problem is that the price of bitcoin is quite high so it is difficult to reach the maximum number that will be obtained from the exchange to bitcoin.
actually the problem is that if altcoins are not increasing, because altcoins are increasing too, why bother to change first.

If you look at the price of Bitcoin that has gone up more significantly than the altcoins, selling some of the altcoins you own is the right decision.
Because in my opinion from the start, there should be more investment in Bitcoin than altcoins, after all Bitcoin has always dominated the market.
My advice is that the investment percentage in Bitcoin should be 70% and 30% in altcoins. Moreover for altcoins it is recommended investing
in the top 10 altcoins, which is safer because it has a high demand, meaning that top altcoins usually pump according to the price of Bitcoin which is
also pumped.

No, for me, it's not really wise to sell your altcoins now just to buy BTC.
You can buy another altcoins instead just to hope that the prospect of that altcoins going big and huge and then go BOOM in the future.
If you really wanna buy BTC, you can use your own money instead to buy BTC.
It's not really really wise to sell another altcoins to buy BTC right now.
Well, that's my suggestion, still the final move is up to you bro
