I think if you can find one or two altcoins which can give you profitable, then you need to buy that coin so you can get the profit. but of course, before you buy, you need to analyze every coin that can increase in the short-term and a long-term. but if you are not sure about the altcoin, then you can wait for a while until your analysis shows the right time to buy the coin. this will need a time before you can see the profitable coin in the market and set alarm for the altcoin will be better.

the market is still in a very unstable condition so it is still possible to go down, we don't need to rush to buy without a mature strategy. You should buy altcoins when the price falling. But for some peoples, they prefer to buy when the price rising because they want to make quick profit.
I think if you buy when the price rising, it will be the same as speculating because you wont know that the coin will keep rising or stop rising.
