I think Ethereum is a good coin to buy, also for investment is not bad. in the post-past time shows itself well in the crypto-currency market and it is clear that the price also does not stand still.

I'd say both, split or its up to you but pick both coins, they're both great in their own ways and works differently but holding two is better than one, i mean lets follow what the most investors usually do, to never put all the eggs in one basket, I'm not saying the Ethereum is better than Tron or the other way around, its just that no when things didn't work out well at one coin at least you have another or if both things work perfectly then its a profit.

In my opinion, investing in both of them may be a good choice. Because I think not only ethereum but also tron has a great potential to grow in the future.
for now i bet tron will be a good coin, if you will be realizing short term investment and easy profit. I believe now is the time for you to buy TRX coz it will be launching it's mainnet for the end of may. So in order for you to ride on the boat, this is the very good time for you to buy because for sure prices are expected to get high 3 or 2 days before the day the mainnet launches.

The ether is the unconditional leader of the alts and will always be on top, the tron has very high volatility and is more like a pump and is not intended as an ether for long-term storage. TRON is a very promising coin, and can give many more X's than the ETH, though at the current price of TRX and ETH. Besides, the Ethereum is, of course, a popular coin, along with bitcoin, but their system is imperfect and slow enough, and many ICO leaves Ethereum platform for these reasons. It is worth taking this fact into consideration when investing.
