Exactly. Everything can happen in cryptocurrency. No one can predict that. However, you need to be cautious about some IEO projects you know nothing or little about. Make sure you know a lot about which IEO you want to invest.
This is what people talking about that more and more exchange will attempts to held IEO's because tempting to get more money from it and the investors should be more carefull to decide which IEO will be picked indeed we can minimize scam IEO with stick to IEO from big exchange because usually IEO from them will confirmed as legit projects although there is no guarantee every projects from them will always be profitable
Look, I've checked majority of IEOs and you know, only IEOs on IDAX are turning to be a scam. So don't participate in IEOs on unknown and small exchanges
IEO is not a method to eliminate Scam, should not think subjectively that it will achieve success and profit for investors. Nobody wants to steal and scream but it will be hidden under other leverage. Therefore, it is not recommended to trust the IEO without really understanding and acknowledging that project in a specific way. Remember, everything is possible. 
Most trusted IEO right now is binance, the other exchange not yet able to convince me that the sale works well or just manipulation ..thats why bnb coin is really looking have a bright future
doesn't mean that following the IEO on a new exchange will end in a scam. in anticipation of and attracting the IEO interest on new exchanges, the new exchange must provide transparent information on audit results on the IEO that will be supported along with the valuation method. if this is not fulfilled I am not interested in following it. because I doubt the new exchange integrity.

As an investor, i cannot participate in IEO conducted by small and new exchanges. The main reason why IEOs are preferred to ICOs is because they are more prone to scam than ICOs, and this is because the exchange validates its legality with their reputation. Imagine Binance or any top exchange conducting a scam project, it will jeopardize their integrity, and these exchanges do not want their integrity in question, so they only offer legit and promising projects IEO. New exchanges do not have the reputation to validate a project, they are just after the profit, SO they might promote a scam project either intentionally or unintentionally.
Yes, there are high possibilities that IEOs also turn into a scam. Because scammer always tries to find and scam people in different ways. I posted about this subject when the first IEO was Launched on the binance platform. I think mostly the less reputed and new exchange will affect investor by the scam IEOs. 
Small exchanges are not reliable, so IEOs conducted by them are also not reliable. I wouldn't be surprise if investors got scammed by participating in IEOs conducted by these small exchanges.

in my opinion IEO or ICO is same way its a investment so there are always a risk. before there are lot ICO that happen in exchange its similar to IEO and a lot of those coin become scam or team abandon the token and build a new one.Result price drop and investor loss load of cash.So i think there a high possibility that some IEO will also turn to scam. its better to make a lot of research because only those token with dedicated team, solid supporters and good purpose survive. 
The irony now is that even some old exchanges that conducts IEO turns out to be scam as well.. Read some speculation somewhere about some exchanges like IDAX manipulates the price raised for the project. So don't just trust any exchange.
Unfortunately, this is not the irony of the situation but the reality. And IDAX is not alone in the pews on IEO. Suffice it to recall Bittrex and Yobit. But they give a tool for manipulation, and to use it or not is up to you.
In my opinion, buying into any IEO conducted by new or lower exchanges is a big risk. I can only go for IEO conducted on notable exchanges. Those new exchanges might just be created for the purposes of scam.
Small exchanges can still do an IEO provided that there are no issues in the past about their exchange, this is a good way to prove that they can compete with big exchanges if they can handle IEO.
Yes, it's one to determine it, sometimes I also often assess small exchanges through companies that are a business of cooperation.
If the exchange has a partnership with a large company, then I would not hesitate to use this exchange, it is quite simple and easy isn't it.

There's nothing that makes IEO unvunerable to scams. And with 1000s of exchanges and all of them listing their own IEOs, we'll be seeing more scam than real projects.
Popular exchange probably does a good bit of research before listing any coins as IEO apart from the good fees, as the failure of IEO would certainly tarnish the image of the exchange. But the less popular and shady ones have nothing to fear.
Like ICO, not all projects in IEO are legit too that is why we need to be vigilant in joining any project that we should ensure that the project really exist together with their team members specially the CEO. Aside from ensuring that it was not a scam, we should also ensure that the project commodities are feasible to the masses as it will attract more people to invest making your investments to grow too.

you are contradicting yourself.
You state that Exchanges are going to list scams but in other sentences you say because they are not interested in such practices.
Just dont go for New IEO exchanges who are not yet done any IEOs
IEO like a ICO, maybe IEO is instant money than ICO.

For sure, everybody should remember the fist Bittrex IEO, where they cancelled the sale few hours before the launch, because it turned out that they lied about partnerships. Be advised and always check the projects before taking part in them.
hey had not only the 1st IEO, but also subsequent ones. The next one was bought up quickly, and the 3rd IEO turned out to be in a strong minus at the start of trading.IEO scam projects of course there will be, without it
