What a performance front the Super Eagles so far, they've had Egypt defending very deep and their biggest threat Salah being kept at bay, Moses Simon have been the best Nigerian player so far in the game, he's been superb in attack causing at lot of problems for Egypt on the left flank.

I watched just parts of the game and again I am feeling like I am not missing anything. It is more exciting to watch literary any other sport at the moment. Now I am watching DOTA 2, and having one eye on Nigeria-Egypt. If this one ends boring as the rest I am giving up on AFCON until knockout stages.
AFCON gets better from the from the quarter final except some Nigeria matches - they always pull a lot of Crown in stadium and play exciting game.

Where are the days of crazy fans with Vuvuzelas (proper plural?) and teams playing for the goal more. Yes there was some silly situations and bad choices but it was entertaining to watch.
Vuvuzela was banned after the 2010 South Africa World cup, they were mostly used by the South African fans.

Algeria's winning odds are too low to make a living, therefore I'm taking the risk and betting on Under 1.5 goals HT @1.55 odds, which is a fair bet.

Algeria's game was ruined today by Islamini and Brahamini, who both had good chances to end the game in the first half but failed to do so. Mahrez was the only positive player on the pitch, and he did his best but the attacking possibilities were limited.

Serria Leone was really impressive today , they controlled the tempo of their game very well, i think the point is well deserved.

Some select games on BBC so I can watch for free, but as you said Trofo, they're all playing really disciplined football... sending offs are about 5/1 if you like that igehhh
I will not bet on cards and bookings till the quarter-final when the game gets more intense.

I posted earlier that under 2.5s were usually good value in Afcon, and this was true even in the qualifiers (unless it was a huge favourite). Can you imagine I actually marked down Algeria from 5-0 to 4-0? HAHA.

Looks like we all caught a boo boo on Algeria... Draw was way above 10/1 on this one, double chance was even 5/1 IIRC. But I didn't fancy taking the bet, and lost out.

Well guys what can I say Matchday 1 games almost done and I'm rock bottom of this pool. Can't even do well with just 12 people, this is truly not my strong fort, whether I know about the teams or not, I just ca't figure out results. Not even a draw was going through!

Egypt only a draw really? Can I afford another points drop today? The odds are totally for a draw so the sportsbooks also believe this is the case.

I didn't miss any point today!  1 exact score, 3 close score!
yeah, it is going as expected so far
I have missed only Morocco, had 0:0 in the pool, as a hedge, since I have bet Morocco to win tournament and needed good performance from Mmaee in Sorare team (shit, it would be great if he had assisted for Morocco goal, but what a heck, it was a solid display from him)

Algeria is at 14, put your picks on time, this should be an easy win, although I do not expect much goals
Yeah, your 0-0 right score was close, but I knew it would never happen - The Ghanaians were lucky since I heard around 5 Moroccan team players contacting covid19 before kickoff.

But whatever it is, Egypt is likely to remain a favorite for me because of the wonderful shape of Salah, I would probably be rooting for Gabon, but I see that Aubameyang (Arsenal) was not even included in the application for the last match.  Cry

I heard Aubameyang is in Isolation. I'm not sure if this is true, his the Captain of the team. If miraculously they makes it through the group stage, they will not advance from the quarter-finals. I am certain of this.

Salah was not a member of Egypt's great Pharaohs, who won the trophy five times in a row and were unbeatable for decades. Egypt's Salah generation has nothing special, but there are improvements!

We all saw how Mane suffered yesterday, but this is Africa, and home-based players tend to do better than foreign players in the scorching sun. Egypt's best chance in this game is a DRAW!!

Surprisingly, in the first round I scored a lot of points, but what is even stranger is that only one goal was scored in 5 out of 6 matches (this is unusual considering which continent the tournament is held on). In addition, I do not at all understand the intricacies of African football in order to give preference to one or another team, according to this I made my choice guided by the Sportsbet coefficients.

BTW, If someone struggling to find where to watch AFCON games, it's available on CAF Youtube channel for free and with English commentary.
Well I have perfect coverage trough my sports package, I can watch all the games in HD. Only problem, games are not worth watching so far Smiley This is very boring and safe football and I really hope it will get better in late stages. Must say I preferred African football while it was less organized, it seems that teams have taken in other direction now and best bets for this AFCON will be under goals.
The atmosphere is poor, making the game look less interesting. I've watched all of the games so far, and the least entertaining so far is the Senegal - Zimbabwe game, which was too slow for my liking.

Today, all of my HT under 1.5 goal were green, thus that appears to be the safer bet in this round.

I expected way too much from the Ayew brothers and Ghana together, I mean Morocco are in a terrific form, yes, but then my expectation was at least a draw.

Gabon's win was an expected one and a won bet for me today, although I wasn't able to grab the exact score from the pool.

Damn, completely forgot that first game of matchday is played so early, so, missed to make Senegal - Zimbabwe prediction.
I'm surprised that odds for Gabon wi is such high. Most of Gabon players are playing on good level, while most of Comoros players is from lower French divisions. I see good value there.

Edit: Senegal is performing below expectations, while Zimbabwe is performing admirably. I never expected this from this team, but this is the AFCON, so expect the unexpected!! Senegal might score late in the second half through Mane. The first half was boring as fvk

wasn't aware that it is already playing, just checked that it is still 0:0
good for me, since I thought it is at 17, so missed to bet on this one Smiley
Senegal has finally taken an undeserved victory. kwnew Mane was going to produce an upset late in the game because he had solid chances in the first half but failed to convert them. Senegal won the game, but Zimbawe our hearts.

Morocco is a good pick for today, maybe I will take it as well, they could reach far
regarding last match of the day, had to check what Comoros is, and it is an island country, pretty small in Indian ocean, think that Gabon will win this, and it is a solid value @2.55, what do you think @igehhh
The Comeros, who are making their debut, are still inexperienced, but they are an underdog that should be taken seriously. This one should go to Gobon by a hair's breadth. + 1 and under 2.5.

At least my bet passed, so first day of AFCON is finished in the green Smiley
Excellent work, mate! Mine is still running I added several games today after only playing Cameron yesterday because I wasn't sure about the Ethiopia game.
Give us some goals or cards under/over inside info Smiley For now I am just placing bets as per odds and my familarity of players which comes from couple of them playing at European clubs. Not good enough to make a living on the sportsbook.

My tip for the day is Marocco ML. What is your opinion about that one.
I can't seem to locate a bookings option on sportsbet. I'll put that option on my local sportsbooks, and as for the goals, I'm betting for 1.5 goals Halftime (all today's games except for the Algeria game) because I don't expect many goals in today's games.

Ghana-Morocco I'll be betting on both teams to score @2.10 because this is the tougher game in this round. I'm hoping for a draw between these two great footballing nations, but the best risk is betting on Morocco to win because they've been the most in-form team after Algeria since the last AFCON.

Super boost takes this to 2.67, I say it's big value for money, so a rare ML single for me today. Yesterday was pretty good start for me as well, and don't forget this is also the 4-3free game. I've gone for big goals here, although I know it's probably going to be low-scoring.

Shame for the Bet free 6-6 as I got 2-0 and 0-1, so one correct. Senegal actually don't really score well but I'm predicting 3-1. Matchday 2 picks are also up, don't forget!

The opening fixture indeed live up to my expectations and I hope the succeeding matches will be just as thrilling as this.

Burkina Faso were literally undone by the defensive errors, they were really a competitive team, and deserved more from the game in my opinion.
Burkina Faso coach need to do something fast to make sure the players win their next match by introducing another strategies to the team. They missed so much opportunity to win yesterday match to defeat Cameroon 3:1 but they missed their opportunity that gave Cameroon opportunity to defeated them 2:1 for the favour of Cameroon yesterday. Burkina Faso players has learned from their mistake in yesterday match which they will not allow history to repeat itself again in this tournament.

My tip for the game between Senegal versus Zimbabwe will be 2 --- 0
There'll be goals scored in both half's.....More tips coming through.
The Senegal team are having well experienced midfielder's in the middle with the likes of Gueye of Paris saint Germans, Kouyate of Crystal Palace and another under-dogs from Bayern Munich named Sarr.
