My tip for the day is Marocco ML.
I have a few tips for today and one of them is Senegal -1-5 ahc...let's start off by saying that over the last 2 years Zimbabwe only won 1 out of their last 15 games...with that out of the way, Senegal just have too much firepower in the front with Mane, Diallo, Keita, Diédhiou. I'm not expecting a goal fest, but i predicted a 2-0 in the pool,,

Excellent work, mate! Mine is still running I added several games today after only playing Cameron yesterday because I wasn't sure about the Ethiopia game.
Give us some goals or cards under/over inside info Smiley For now I am just placing bets as per odds and my familarity of players which comes from couple of them playing at European clubs. Not good enough to make a living on the sportsbook.

My tip for the day is Marocco ML. What is your opinion about that one.

I still believe it could have finished in a 1-1 draw if Ethiopia hadn't received an early red card (wasn't that a bit cruel to reward a red card that early?) My 1-1 correct score prediction was ruined, but my debut wasn't all that horrible, was it? Lol.

congrats for winning, first days of tournaments I skip betting, as a rule
waiting for things to unwrap a bit

tonight is solid match between Morocco and Ghana, hopefully Mmaee will be in squad, he is playing very good for Frani lately, could be a decision maker tonight (Morocco is my favorite to win)

The opening fixture indeed live up to my expectations and I hope the succeeding matches will be just as thrilling as this.

Burkina Faso were literally undone by the defensive errors, they were really a competitive team, and deserved more from the game in my opinion.
You can not afford to lose concentration knowing very well that the team you are playing against is the hot favorite but truth be told, the victors did put in the work to get the result they had today and its a great way to open an account as it puts pressure away from the team and passes it onto other teams that are yet to play.

agree, Cameroon was nothing special, two penalties brought them win (not saying anything about penalties, but two in ten minutes, it is a lot for any team)

still, Burkina Faso will probably see next round, since Ethiopia and Cape Verde are worst, judging by their game (since Tavares scored, seems that Ethiopia will finish last in the end)
Burkina Faso were fortunate to finish the game with 11 men after those amateur defending.
I just watched first half of the first game since later on I went to play football with my mates. That first half of Cameroon game really was full of stupid/unnecessary starts. First penalty was from totally unnecessary start, guy was going away from goal with poor control of the ball, just let him. Start for second penalty was simply timed very poorly.

Having said that, Cape Vere appears to be a more serious threat than Cameron and Burkina Faso; they are tactically sound and will most likely advance from the group stage.

That's the point... I didn't survive African fields (well, I got out alive but that's all) hahaha! Only played in S. Sudan and Kenya though, so can't say I had a big experience either......

Anyway, Burkina Faso got the breakthrough goal of the tourney so that was a nice 6/1 upset if anyonés holding a ticket, must be enjoying life. Hope they get someone sent off soon though so Cameroon can mount a comeback... I can't find a good stream (internet too slow). Enjoy the discussions and exchanges here my friend! Happy to have you with us!

Football is not for every body my friend Grin

The indomitable lions of Cameron are leading 2-1 now thanks to Muhammad's two goals from the spot-kick. Cameron has been all over the field since the early upset by Burkina Faso, and the game is exciting, which you must be missing if you are not watching it right now.

The Burkina Faso players appear to be lost already; the intensity level of the Cameron players is a major edge; the Burkina Faso players appear to be skinning and unmatched; they have committed 11 fouls in just 45 minutes with some poor defending. What the heck was Traore thinking with that tackle right inside his box? Too many mistakes.

Lol. I had no idea you had some Africa grassroots football experience I bet you didn't play during the hamattan season that was the worst season for a football you would need more than two lungs to survive, my football career didn't end well I started as a goalkeeper diving on those strong grasses wasn't easy but I ended my local football career as a defender my hope of playing a broad ended 10 years ago when I twisted my angles I was just too aggressive in my game

If you survive on African field you can survive anywhere in the world.

It was hugely physical, and first-aid team kept asking me if I wanted to continue after every clatter and at first I was kinda the guy everyone laughed about after a game. My mistake was starting in usual positions when clearly height (dis)advantage meant I shouldn't play CB. Was a bit better on the wings but second mistake is to weather the tackles with the ball. You fall and the ground chews you up -- after one particular match my entire left side of face looked brutalised but you know how it is, you're new and you don't want everyone else to think you're a pssy so you soldier on. Was still really fun though! And the after-game dinners were pretty pretty amazing..!

For example, the Limbe Stadium will host 8 matches 7 of which in the span of 10 days with 3 b2b.  Shocked , that pitch will be literally murdered.
That's... really unlucky for the last teams to play I guess! Got good memories of playing football in Africa... not good for my body at all, as I suffered some of the worst injuries in my short footballing life on their incredibly brutal pitches haha. They are typically hard and dry and full of sharp stones (East Africa anyway).

Good luck to you and Nigeria igehhh, warm welcome to this pool and hope to see you in more pools. Love the fact this AFCON thread already gets a willing paying participant. I bet the contingent will be big there... are travels still allowed? Would be awesome to see a pic or two from one of the forum guys.
Thank you and Good luck to you too and to your questions yeah traveling is allowed and I would be posting some fans moment time to time.

My first bet today is on Cameroon, super boost to 1.66, parlayed of course with Liverpool and other Prem teams in FA Cup!
A win & Cameron to score last goal looks decent too.

Same bet for me, home team, opening match against not so special opponent, what could go wrong? I am sure we will see in a couple of hours.

Make your picks guys, AFCON is starting today and some of you are still without picks.

I'm glad to be part of this exciting pool I've gat great knowledge of Afrcan football lets see if I can put it to work!!
I just saw your text under the avatar so Nigeria supporter ha?

Since you are our only member with inside knowledge of African football as much as I know, we are all expecting some tips here from time to time. Help us take some money from the bookies Smiley
Yes, they have one of the best squads in the competition because most of the players play in Europe and have a lot of experience; the world is expecting a lot from them. Unfortunately, Ighalo and Osimmeh did not make the list for various reasons, but the squad is still balanced. I'm hoping the new coach brings some good fortune. To stimulate the team, the Nigerian government always awards a multi-million dollar incentive to the goal scorer and MOTM winner per game

I may stink at correct scores, but I'm going to make some serious money on 1X2, bookings, and goals.

Senegal's goalkeeper Mendy tested positive for covid19, which is bad news for the team. I feel bad for Mendy.

Hey guys, we have one new player: igehhh. Since he is not participant of currently running pools sponsored by Sporsbet he has to pay 0.5 mBTC joining fee. We agreed that he will send that 0.5 mBTC to the winner of the pool. No point in escrowing for such small amount and only one paying participant.

Glad you have joined us. Please quote above part of the post as confirmation from your side.

There was several freebie hunters that contacted me hoping to enter for free but they all run away after I mentioned the part in the OP about paying the fee for those that are not part of the running pools. Really happy we found another participants who is actually willing to put some money in mix on this gambling sub forum. Will never understand how so many of us are writing here and then we get 15 people (50 for EPL) for our standard pools and ROI should be dream come true for any real gambler.

Having written this I see I actually know very little about Africa so I am thinking I will have to visit in hopefully near future.

not sure about this AFCON, but actually I was involved (professionally) in AFCON Gabon 2012, and they have built new stadiums for that tournament, four, if I am not wrong, and Olympic village for teams to be settled

since Cameroon is bigger and stronger country than Gabon (it is a personal opinion), they have certainly built some new stadiums as well, if I am not wrong they should have hosted 2019, then gave up or something, and took 2021 from Ivory Coast, so Ivory Coast will took 2023 instead and so on, not sure how many AFCON's in the line know their hosts
