I don't know, up until now I've always expected more from Ferrari and then been bitterly disappointed. Without complications, RedBull will win this race.

About Perez:

Perez is sick at the moment and he wasn't on the track today, so it could be difficult for Perez if he is not 100% fit.

Sergio Perez wird am Donnerstag wegen Krankheit nicht auf der Strecke erscheinen

We will see, Ferrari did 2 big upgrades for this race too.
They will have a new bottom and a new front wing for the desperate missing grip.

Ferrari actually improved a lot, they may be the second car on the grid now or very very close to Aston Martin.
But yeah should be another easy win for RBR

Also if it is sunny we may see timing really close to 1 minute per lap.

Am completely basing this off arbitrary understanding of the Austrian track and that Max does well there heh heh.

at this point, for Max is no matter of track, he is driving like he has a car, and others are pushing their with feets like Flintstones

will ve interesting to see Perez on this track, it is a homeground for RB, so he will be under pressure to see podium, but his recent form is far from expected
Mercedes will also try their best there, not sure about Ferrari car, but Leclerc and Sainz are putting better effort recently

Another easy day for RB, does that mean a 1-2 finish for them as well though? Really tempted to pick that finish but for now am putting Perez just off the podium in favour of Hammie. Have also been wrongly predicting Mercedes big wins so this time, I hope to get that right, one on podium and Russell to come close.

Thanks for another tip and the chance to win, the weather is nice in Austria during the day, but at night it rained again and again, it's really difficult. Last year it was a Leclerc vs Verstappen match, don't think Ferrari will be as strong again this year, feel Mercedes should be the second force in Spielberg, I will give my two picks (this and Superbru) after Friday practice.

Weather forecast is currently as follows, so maybe interesting qualifying session and sprint race.

I dont fall on the McClaren improvement bait, and with im not saying its a lie their improvement, but we see this in other seasons i can remember easily 3 beofre this, when they seems to be upgrading and developing a good car, always they ended failling and coming back to the start position.

Its like they always strugled to adjust the last screw.

The improvement by McLaren side is really pretty impressive. The car is still not one of the fastest on the grid yet but they are making progress faster recently. They brought a huge upgrade package for the Canadian GP and now I'm wondering if they can do better in the Austrian GP. The weather looks rainy for now indeed so this is an opportunity to take advantage of for McLaren drivers as well. Especially Norris can make interesting surprises in qualifying session under such conditions.

In qualifying session of Spanish GP weekend we all saw how he captured the 3rd place. He was in Q3 again in Canada as well. Maybe we might see another impressive time by him in Austria this time.

The Austrian track is more suitable to McLaren I think than the last two where they got really great starting grid places.I also agree that McLaren is working hard to make the car faster race by race, they are on their own terms as they don't fight for anything so I can surely expect even more massive upgrades coming, their technical director told that in Silverstone max we will see a completely different car,a completely new car compared to the one that we have seen in the races so far.I am looking forward to that moment as a fan of Mclaren as we wait from the distant year of 2008 for another title,so when we will see such a car materialize we would all be very happy and it would be good for the Championship fight also, next season of course.

So yea , let's hope Ferrari really have something to show and prove in next race.

I don't think is a good idea for Ferrari to invest in this car due to the cap on the budget they have.

since they can only spend a certain amount of money it will be wiser to save all the money they can for this car and start to already invest in the next car since they can put that money in this fiscal year.

Also true , but they need to have a car to secure 4th place in Championship because McLaren might bring them a surprise by the end of the season and if somehow Ferrari cannot keep 4th place...that will reduce the potential to develop the next a lot so that's why the still need to improve this car a bit not to fight with RedBull or Aston and Mercedes because clearly they cannot fight any of them Sad((. I'm a Ferrari fan and I can feel the pain of the race for them before it even starts;D Grin

Well...if we have a rainy day in Austria , that track will become almost impossible to drive because we have so many changes of altitude during 1 lap time and that will trick most of the drivers ( not Max because he loves driving in his rain and I do recommend to see a detailed documentary about how good Max is during the rain and why so just search it for it). This is the only track besides Mexico who is being placed in such high altitude in the mountains if I do remember well.

Also , if Ferrari said that they had the 2nd best car right now after what they managed to develop during the Canada grandprix and I'm curious if they will validate this point during Austria race because if they trow another bait or false news , I'm afraid Tiffosi fans will have a riot back in Italy because you can't trow false hopes when your car is already in a bad situation so far during this season. So yea , let's hope Ferrari really have something to show and prove in next race.

There’s no race this weekend.

Verstappen is a big favourite @ 1.32 next weekend in Austria. Does anyone actually bet on him at such big odds or do you go for longer odds like who else will be on the podium etc.

Some early odds from sportsbet.io - https://sportsbet.io/sports/event/formula-1/formula-1/austrian-grand-prix-2023-race/austrian-grand-prix-2023-race-64942f3753c22538b6ff4c20

We have much more chances on who will be on the podium, most likely a Mercedes or Aston Martin and the odd of them to be in the podium is much better than Verstappen winning the race.I doubt anyone will stop Verstappen in Austria too but of course any rain in the middle of the race is welcome, any Safety Car just after Verstappen has pitted is also more than welcome,it is this kind of variables that keep us hooked in front of the screen, despite we deep inside knowing Verstappen in normal conditions will win the race we still hope that something will change and bring us some emotions during the race.

The missing puzzle of who can make races more watchable is exactly Perez who has the same car as Verstappen yet he screws up race after the race.

The weather in Austria will be variable this weekend, it may rain again during F1 like it happened several times this year.
About prediction, the race should be an easy task for RBR even if Ferrari and Aston Martin did a big step ahead.

I think he may lose the pole position but it will have an easy task again for the race.

With how Perez has been sucking lately I think there's gonna be some value on Perez's line to be in the podium, the fastest lap market or some other market.

Austrian GP is Red Bull's home ground, I think they'll take some extra steps to make sure they finish first and second on the podium.  Any other result would be unacceptable.  If Perez fails here, his days are numbered...  J/K.  Grin

Perez's days already seem numbered in fact. Because there have been speculations all around like Red Bull are preparing to bring Ricciardo into Perez's place soon. They say that it will be clear after Silverstone tests. This is quite exciting news for me because Perez is just not a good companion for Verstappen anymore.

Perez's not being able to be competitive for the championship is no big deal for Red Bull in fact. But they must be wishing to see Perez right behind Verstappen most of the time to not endanger their constructor championship chance. We don't know how Ricciardo would come back though but it feels like he can do better than Perez.

No way I'm betting on a waaay juiced up line like that.  And it's in F1, a sport where there's just lots of unknowns days before the race, during the practice sessions, up until qualifying.  I mean what if he qualifies 10th or something..?  Again, remember the unknowns.  It would've been better to wait to catch a better line.

It's def better to look for value somewhere else like to finish in the top 10, fastest lap and like you said, podium finishes.

The head to head markets are fun too.
