^  Careful tho...  Ferrari's engineering break through is just right around the corner.  It's just a matter of hiring the right CTO.  They shouldn't have made Binotto the team principal imho.  They should've stuck with him as CTO no matter who is leading the team.  Maybe he would've stayed with the team for much longer without getting disillusioned.

Anyway Hamilton is giving hints that it's the realm of possibility that he'll be driving with the prancing horse one day...  The guy has a knack for feeling which team's car is about to improve.  Just like he did when he dropped McLaren for Merc.

It is a really bad break that there is no competition in Formula 1 in a period that the interest in it has increased this much worldwide. I hope Mercedes can reach the level to be able to compete with Red Bull again next season. I have no hope for Ferrari. If I was in Leclerc's place I would search a way to reach an agreement with Mercedes or Red Bull.

It was a great day for Mercedes drivers. It was said that Mercedes were going to have some new updates on their car and it looks like they had in this race. Maybe Hamilton was voted for the driver of the day but I think that Russell deserved it more. Because his climb was even a tougher job. He even stayed in front of Perez which is another great work by him.

It was another horrible race weekend for Ferrari drivers. There is just a huge gap between last season and this one I mean. Maybe Ferrari didn't do very well in general last season but their start was still incredible. But now we don't even see that from them. Leclerc dealt with huge struggles and couldn't finish in a nice position.

Besides Ferrari still continue to make mistakes related to strategy. This time their tyre strategy was hard to understand. Even though Leclerc wanted softs they insisted on doing hards.
I think there are serious problems with the Ferrari. That is, as a vehicle setup, it can probably exist aerodynamically in very narrow places according to changing conditions, temperature wind. I was thinking that ferrari has a fast tool if it can actually run it in this situation. But every week all teams understand alpine especially their car better and close the gap. He can't understand his ferrari car and just as he can't, now it's going in another direction. They don't have much time left at this rate, they will go down to the 5th place. If you were 11 seconds ahead on the same track last year (he would have won if his engine hadn't exploded) this year, if you're the last one, I can't look for the problem in the pilot. By far faster than Sainz, but Ferrari is destroying Leclerc.

The driver championship has started to get boring already now. Perez has been really disappointing for two races and this helped Verstappen to widen the point gap with him more - 53 points. Both of Monaco GP and Spain GP can be really boring to watch most of the time indeed. Because in both races it is really not easy to overtake anyone.

The Spain GP is a little more available to do so though but it's like there is only the start straight with the help of DRS. Next time we are in Canada and I hope to see a different result or at least a satisfying competition for the win. Verstappen has 0 win in Canada so far so let's see if he will do it for the first time in his career.

Redbull is clearly the most favored car in this track,it was only bad luck for Verstappen that kept him from winning the Canadian GP but if everything goes smoothly he is going to win it.You say that drivers Championship is boring already but not only that in my opinion, also the constructors is boring as this race in Spain was an exception that we did not see both Redbulls in the podium, most likely if everything goes without incidents in Canada then both Redbulls will be on the podium.

In Spain tires ruined the race of many drivers as they were being consumed much faster than anticipated,in here I don't believe tires will play as much of a crucial role as they did in Spain so hopefully this can be somewhat a better race to watch as Spain looked a lot like Monaco.

I wouldn't mind to send you a PM every race weekend as I'm active here anyways and if it helps to get your predicion in, that would be a good idea, wouldn't it?  Smiley
We are still having so many races, it's still possible to make up many points.  Smiley

I'll organize better for next year, for this season the white flag's already in the air Grin
Appreciate the offer though, thanks!

_____________

Still 15 or so races to go though, I'll continue playing for fun of course.

Well in this context you have got nothing to lose and you can try some unexpected results which some Safety Car and some unknown incidents can further boost your position. We cannot predict the future but let me check the table of the tournament now and see,you are a bit behind at 57 points which is 35 points from top spot but there are 15 other races and there are about 250 points in total to grab so anything can happen and you should play for fun without having high hopes but if you see yourself in a prize spot in the end, well that's great, don't you think  Grin.

I said it before, Mercedes here have a very nice fit in their car, but in the other hand i dont fully trusted them in my picks. I dont expect that qualy and also dont expect AM being bad in this race.

Ferrari..... they only walk backwards.

Ssshhh.  Don't say it out.  Lol.  Especially not in the other F1 thread.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Yeah Hamilton and Russell did pretty well and honestly a little bit surprised.  Imwas expecting two drivers to give us a show, Sainz and Alonso since it was their home race.  But any driver can't do anything else if their cars aren't up to the task.

The race was a bit better than the last one tho I was kinda bored with it.

I couldn't allocate enough time for the forum due to working on a high tempo for the last 15-20 days. I'm going back to my usual order again from now on. I will make posts on the topic to remind the ones who didn't make prediction before every race. Smiley

P.S.: I also forgot to make prediction for qualifying. Tongue

So I was not alone,it seems that when there is intensity in races, weekend after weekend we need some better focus in order to not miss any prediction as 3 points may seem a little if I assume we would have gotten Verstappen first but in reality those 3 points are extremely precious in a pool like this which most people will get a nice amount of points every race and we would be in a narrow gap in points against each other, those 3 points may result of vital importance when we approach the final stage of this pool as I have suffered this myself last season,I never got 2 EBP points in the first three races and those 6 points let me finish third while I could have finished second easily with those points.

So people do not forget to put your picks and put a reminder on your mobile phones (I will start myself doing it) as this pool is different from soccer pools, little points here make a big difference in the long run.

Congrats guys for the wins and yellow cap! Well deserved one because this race was pretty hard to predict from qualifiers to race.

Now the race didn't look as much but I might dare to say that Mercedes found a way to have impressive race pace compared to last races so no wonder why both of drivers got really a good race today.

Max...he is still on his own league right now but Perez did quite the recovery race and I was impressed by his driving skills today after such a failed qualifying session yesterday.

Ferrari...oh man , they lack everything right now on that car...and I can feel the pain myself. Undecided

Congrats @MoSala and @Slissy to win this round.

Very interesting race, where many overtakes happened. Aside from Verstappen leading, it was a very eventful race, mostly due to pit stops.
Once again a weak performance from Ferrari, Leclerc didn't even got a single point today. I don't know why he pitted so early in lap 17 or 18, he had hard tires on. Hamilton had soft tires and pitted almost 10 laps later.
Sainz from P2 starting grid to P5...
Ferrari can't catch a break...
Bad luck for Lando as well. After damaging his front wing in lap 1, he needed to pit and lost his great position, and ended up last after his early pit stop. Could have been decent points for him.

Damn, forgot to submit my picks again. I'm horrible at these things - too many pools I'm currently participating in.
No surprise I'm in last place, for Monaco I submitted 5 min before the race when I saw the DM from 1miau.

Cmon bro you are in the bottom of the Supebro table, you cant be that bad, but I am not much better than you  Grin
I dont know how all the guys on top positions are making such good results with their predictions so far, but congrats to them.

Verstappen won like most people expected but Mercedes is sure getting back on top and catching up on Red Bull Racing and Aston Martin with Fernando Alonso.

Ferrari..... they only walk backwards.

I think that Ferrari should start to think to organize the next season from now, it is better for them, no chance to compete also against mercedes (redbull is so far away). I'm absolutely disappeared to see that Ferrari teams

is so poor at the moment and without any idea, in comparison, Redbull seems to be a team driven by alien.

That would be a nice idea.I think that they start working early for next year car but also not forgetting this season as we saw that McLaren did the same thing last year, after 7-8 races they completely abandoned the season to work on the new season car and we saw how badly they start the season,so the best would be for Ferrari to work 50% on next season car and 50% to squeeze as much as possible from this year car,I think in some races Leclerc has shown a good performance but maybe mostly it was driver skill rather than Ferrari delivering.

I also did not believe much in Mercedes to be on the podium today and didn't trust them with my picks to be this high.

Congratulations to Slissy and mosala for winning the round, I wanted to change some positions before the race started, but I didn't do it, and I ended up with 9 points. I believe predicting the results of Formula 1 races for the rest of the season will be difficult. Can we rely on the historical performance of teams and drivers on similar tracks in the past and analyze the current events in the world of Formula 1?
We currently have @salman29 in the lead, and I'm not sure if he's capable of maintaining the group's leadership. Angry

There is a huge difference in vehicles. We can't really watch a good race. It is not difficult to predict who will finish first at the start of the race, as there are great differences in the power of the vehicles. This causes the excitement to be lost.

Ferrari is said to make an offer to Hamilton for 2024. If that happens and they do well for the vehicle, the situation may change. Unfortunately, we will watch the races that will always end the same this year.

Nice calls, CLS63 and damn you Slissy ha!

Still, I managed to keep my spot in 8th, so I'm not too upset. These 5 points from the summit feels so big, when you think about how tight these races are. Glad I kept faith in Verstappen. For once Tsunoda got in above 10 and I didn't put him in...

Well, free money for the winners I guess Grin

Thank you for your kindness ha!

It's happened at least once for me in every pool, every season. I actually lost prize spots in UCL because I forgot an entire round during round 16 (that was different though, I honestly thought I put in picks and then happily went to look for results and saw the bad news haha).

Strange thing the mind does to you when you think you're on autopilot and then rely on that without actual reminders, huh.
