I don't really know what to say about this Barca game. Just sadness. Ok, Araujo goal saved from complete disaster. But players celebrated this goal like they scored it in Champions League final. But this goal probably means that Koeman won't be sacked for one week more...
I know that few upcoming seasons will be difficult for Barca, but this fact don't make watching their games less painful...
And referee, wtf he was doing today?
it is very unfortunate for a great team like barcelona, having to struggle to get one goal, and can only get one point, barcelona seems to have lost the spirit of the champion, in the european league barca was defeated by bayern munich, and in the league barca is now in 7th position standings, maybe the fate of barcelona will be the same as the fate of mariam london.. barcelona used to be feared but now barcelona is helpless..

I can even imagine playing Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid at this stage... It's going to be a huge humiliation.
heh! didn't expect Barca to shit the bed last night

rumours say that Pirlo, Cocu and even Gattuso are among the candidates to be the next manager...man, as a RM fan, i'm having a blast watching the barcelona circus...Andrea Pirlo, ffs!! 😂🤣

tonight with Getafe will be interesting, Getafe is probably top candidate for Segunda, and Atletico has two draws in a row, with solid teams, but wins were widely expected
Getafe are gonna lose today and then sack the manager, and it's only week 5 in the league...they'll definitely join granada, espanyol, celta and alaves in the relagation race

maybe with Real, Atletico is also playing good and bad

and Bilbao is playing Rayo, and @1.9 it is a solid value bet, Bilbao showed good form this season, had already played Barca and Atletico, and still does not have a defeat

I'm really not sure about the Over 2.5, but I'd expect Barca to win the game too...
0-1 down HT
bookies have the Over @1.6, i see value here cos i have no doubts they can turn things around (Granada are just bad), but tbh, the damage is done, Barca are wounded and everyone knows it. Look at Sociedad, Getafe and now Granada, every team arrives at the Camp nou knowing that they no longer need to play defensively to get a good result, there's no fear, only disrespect to one of the juggernauts of europe (during their golden era)

It's the draw they'd have to settle for, it's really pathetic what have become of the Barcelona team, not even the slightest of attacking alternatives is available for the team, Imagine substituting Pique and playing him as the centre striker's position, lol right ? at least it paid off, as he was directly involved with build up for the equalizers.

Ps don't forget to put your predictions for gameweek 6 on Superbru because it will be played midweek starting from Tuesday to Wednesday.
Congrats on winning the challenge. This time even I managed to snag a free bet if I did not grade it wrong  Shocked Happened before so you never know.

New one is already up so go make your predictions guys. This one is all about midweek games so you don't have much time. This will be busy week.

Barca should win easy today, right? My bet is on over 2.5 goals which can pass easy if Barca plays well or if they are bad and Granada scores. Just need one quick goal to open it up.

I'm really not sure about the Over 2.5, but I'd expect Barca to win the game too...

I think Koeman is finally growing some balls with Pique being on the bench, week in week out seeing Pique starting the game except being unfit, I ask how he merited the spot with his terrible form.

Dembele is still out injured, while Ansu Fati is still battling with match fitness, but maybe Coutinho would step up today and give Depay a huge support upfront.

Real was on my final leg for an acca that Roma already condemned, so the result wasn't really going to do anything for me (except, well, I would have gotten insurance back).

But I'm going for a really predictable Barca win tonight. I backed Granada to the hilt last season but I feel like they're fading quickly already.

I'd bet on Valencia any day against Real Madrid
and i wouldn't blame you

i hate it when we play against Valencia  Lips sealed  They're a bunch of prats conference league tier team who ALWAYS turn into absolute football gods against us and put up a tremendous fight at Mestalla...If it wasn't for the dealiest duo in the league so far Vini-Benz (and, also, that RM spirit 'hasta el final' battle cry), we would've lost that match...

anyway, tomorrow: Barcelona - Granada...when was the last time Barca played on a friday night? easy win for Koeman & the boys?

not sure what was missing, courage or strength (probably both), but we should end it last night with a win
at least I got some bets, and exact score in the pool for the match

but, it showed that we will fight for CL spot this season, it was a good match and I expect more of the same this season

regarding Barca - Granada, I am waiting for a strong performance by Maximiano on Granada goal, could bring me some serious value rare player as reward in Sorare, and expect nothing spectacular from Barca, goalless draw would be great

I'd bet on Valencia any day against Real Madrid but the bookies aren't giving good odds now, so I'm staying away, and instead putting Real on a long acca along with other favourites.

I'm still way too scarred from the Valencia of last season, is my problem =) It's like, we just gotta wait for them to show their true colours. And the same can be said for Real now that Atleti is struggling to score, and Barca is... not Barca.
It is going to be an interesting game to see ,
Valencia have been showing a lot of improvement compared to the previous seasons, They might pose trouble to Real Madrid, but I see Real Madrid coming back home with an important 3 points to take Laliga Leadership from Atletico.
Its true that Valencia has been playing beautifully so far in the season, and they shouldn’t give up on their style against Madrid and since the visitors side has defensive issues, I belleive that believe both teams will score in this one.

I read the news in local Croatian news aggregator index, and then went on to google it and found some other english article, don't remember exactly which one. Both wrote it as done deal so I assumed it was over. Wrote the post about 2 hours after reading it, there was also fifth name in contention for position but I forgot which one 😂
Actually, today I completely opposite news that Barca aren't going to sack Koeman now. One of reasons is money probably - if they would sack him, Barca would have to pay 12 millions to Koeman. I doubt that Barca now can afford it.
I'm not big fan of Koeman, but I doubt manager change would help Barca much. I doubt that with other manager we would have chances to compete with Bayern. And with limited money they can't hire top tier manager. While these potential managers mentioned by @Trofo sounds exciting, maybe except Xavi.

I confess I do not like his statements that only a truly strong team can beat Bayern, as from his lips it sounded as if Barca were a second-rate club.

it is missing a point to speak - to beat Bayern, they lost 0:3, that is not the same to lose 1:2 and with some missed chances for a draw, Bayern basically humiliated Barca at home, what would happen in Munich, they do not want to know
Barca needs one season to get together, and it is good that La Liga is not that strong, so they will probably enter top4 in the end, but seems that fourth place will be, instead of third this season, although Sevilla is not having that great start, but it is better this season

hopefully Valencia will take that fourth, but it is a long shot

If I were the president of Barcelona, I would also think about the dismissal of the head coach if the team under his leadership did not hit the target a single time during the entire match. As for the news, as far as I understood, Kuman's dismissal is not yet certain, since he made a statement that in a couple of weeks Barça will not be the same as before.

I confess I do not like his statements that only a truly strong team can beat Bayern, as from his lips it sounded as if Barca were a second-rate club.

So Barca decided to sack Koeman
source?
i read that the board are still discussing this matter and that nothing's set in stone so far. Hmm, if Koeman gets the sack, it'll be because of the recent clash with Laporta, not because of the results in the league and CL

Barca fans right now:

I've try several sources to verify the news but no luck too, and I'd expect such new if true, to be the headlines of most football news websites/media..

I most definitely would like to see Koeman relieved of his duites as Barcelona head coach, he's not capable of handling the club, and often short of ideas tactically, but would Barcelona be able to afford another expensive coach given the current state of the club.

Reminder to make the picks guys, we have first game tonight.

So Barca decided to sack Koeman, not sure they should have done that after Bayern game, that is not the game Barca can count on points anymore but I guess it is not so much that they lost, more about the way how they lost.

I don't like top picks for his replacement at all, in order of most likely to get job :
Jordi Cruyff - best thing about him is his surname, never seen a team he coached, could not have been many
Sergi Barujan - B team coach
Henrik Larsson - 3rd coach for the first team at the moment
Xavi Hernandez - him I would like, but I don't think it will happen at this moment, he seems like very smart guy and I don't think he is ready to blow his chance as Barca coach
