Sociedad... distracted by Paris? Typical.

Judging by the statistics, Sociedad definitely should not have lost:

Shots - 21:9
Shots on target - 3:2
Corners - 7:4
Ball possession - 68% : 32%

But such games sometimes happen and Osasuna leaves with three points, by the way, as I understand it, they broke the 12-year streak of unsuccessful games here.
Overall, your bet was close to winning, but the question is: why bet on City and Liverpool without a handicap? The odds are too small, they had to be maximized.

Do you maybe also like Protestants vs Catholics or mediterranean against german/nordic. Tongue hahahaha im a little bit of a nerd in such things.

Well i took already my risk putting a draw on Cadiz against Betis, and dont ended up well, but well at least not so much people catch the exact result also. I hope to keep in the path of the last rounds.

We need more nerds in football! Back home we did a lot of that but in a local context (tribal teams vs mainland teams, or state-funded vs private funded, and even language-wise and ethnic wise yes) -- a lot of these are diluted these days (imports are more common, players also switch clubs more than before).

In English football even the geography hardly matters to most people these days -- Liverpool I notice the most, the songs they make about players are more continental, more "homogenous", I used to follow forums teaching some of the weird tunes only locals would know. "Derbies" are no longer regional either, just city-wise, at least at the top, and fans are all about half-scarves now...

Anyway, I was really itching for a 1-1 on Villareal, but I thought they would disappoint. Turns out I was right about their inconsistency in disappointing.

I am not sure yet, odds are tempting and Girona not to lose, and Real needs to think about next week match against Leipzig in Champions League.
Girona is slowly going down in form and they are going to miss few players for this match, but I think they can score against Real.
Maybe best bet for me is over 2.5 goals and both teams to score.

Man that's too tempting to see I agree. I know Real already beat them earlier, and Girona have been drawing a lot but Real also have been facing problems so it's not a given. I have no idea why odds are so big though so I took it myself, only one bet today I don't even want to look at Barca for fear I make them my superjinx of the weekend.

Anyone daring to take Girona to get some much-needed points here? jeremypwr is near-unassailable but I think Top 5 is well within reach. I've been hit and miss on the Valencia/Sevilla/Villareal/Celta lottery. Too good to lose, you think logically, but inconsistently too bad to win. Girona is the key though. Predict their excellence or downfall, and you'll get valuable points.

darxiaomi said something in a way I've never seen -- latin vs anglo saxon. Somehow I failed to ever view these leagues in this light.

Congrats to darxiaomi and CLS63 for winning the Round 23 Yellow Cap

My predicting the score of the Sevilla match helped me win the yellow cap. However you are absolutely dominating the La Liga pool this year. For now my target is to win 20 mbtc prize by finishing in 3rd place at least. However I'm aware that I need to challenge the bests of the forum for this.

Congrats to darxiaomi and CLS63 for winning the Round 23 Yellow Cap

Quite a good overall weekend for me in the "latin leagues" (Spain and Italy) but not so much in the anglo saxons ones (Premier League and Bundesliga).

In this one you open a very big gap in the first spot, difficult to catch you.

Btw, it looks like this round a lot of us have similar answers in the La Liga pool. Yesterday all of us got exactly one point.

And strangely nobody wanted to go with Girona no win, but their past results are concerning. Diego Simeone gave a nice interview last week published yesterday also and he was full of admiration for Girona but he said exactly what happened to them in their last few games, which is now the goals getting harder to score after campaign progresses.

I still think they have it and most neutrals want them to win (plus if they win, City will get in trouble if they get second lol) but many people will now be analyzing if it's time to start betting on them to drop points more and more.

Real Madrid Mbappe by the way, fk  Grin

If I remember, most of my awareness from the pools came from non-related threads anyway or rather, like F1 probably came from a discussion thread IIRC.

IT's definitely not what the good posters do, derail conversations, but the best ones you pay attention to even if it seems off topic, it's always referencing the same mentality of gambling.

BSFL after all is sports fanatic, so covers everything. If I had a thread and BSFL people commented in there about their relations, I would love it, it brings attention to my thread Smiley

Yeah, I know. I have nothing against posting BSFL stuff in other Sportsbet related threads. But this comment was meant as the answer to something in the BSFL thread. That's why I deleted it.

EDIT: Stupid me didn't check which thread I'm replying to so I deleted the part that was meant for the BSFL thread Grin

Don't worry all posts are fine in Sportsbet as we are almost all the same competitors. Even in F1 when it was going I was talking about BSFL and it made sense.
Not just that it helps maybe bring few stranglers to other pools but in reality I believe all of us in these pools are well aware of everything on offer in gambling section. Of course it gets a bit stupid if whole conversations spring up from that off topic post but some references and short replies I would argue are even beneficial.

Wow, I really didn't know that Athletico would score four goals against Mallorca and manage to keep clean sheets. I presumed that they would score a lot of goals, but somehow I thought that they would have conceded at least one goal. (I went with the result 3-1). This way I have the same one point as all of you that went with 2-1. If only Mallorca scored that last goal instead of Athletico Grin

Real won, as usual, so the race is on and now Girona again must keep the distance. I wonder when they will lose again?

@Renato297 Not coincidence it's deserved you guys show real competitive edge Smiley

I was close to winning my 2nd  Yellow Cap but Ulven did better, it was a coincidence that I competed with him this round, my 3rd 4th rival in the Cup

I just checked the table and I really dropped in the last few rounds. I had less time to research before I submit my answers in the app so I gave results out of my head. Last time I checked I was 2nd or 3rd (I think that no one can come close to jeremypwr). Since I screw up this round of BSFL I was more careful with the results for the next weekend. We will see how will I do this time.

How silly it feels to celebrate 1-0 win against Osasuna, with everything going on. But we fight on.

I'm not sure if I'm more surprised that Barcelona scored only one goal or that they manage to keep clean sheet. Even with one extra player Barcelona couldn't score more than one goal.

I didn't have heart to say it earlier, buway knows how I feel. I love Xavi, I don't get why people at the club can't support him. His players do, the youth of Catalan and Spain say it publicly even so we all know the problems lie elsewhere. This guy brought the smiles back and we pushed him away.

I felt it 2 seasons ago already but even more stronger now that I'm going old and difficult to think of my club in the way its becoming.
