Perfect predictiona for me yesterday, just hope somebody followed. I am mad at myself for not actually putting money on Bilbao but better to win smaller than to not win at all. Both to score in other game was enough for multi.

Madrid derby went as expected and I am happy Modrić recovered from WC and put a very good performance over whole 120 minutes.

Also wish Real would have won this outright. We meet them in about 3 weeks and I would rather they start winning now, rather than keep playing crap, so they don't see us as a punching bag heh.

Seems like we could be headed for an El Clasico final huh?

I believe 3 weeks is actually a lot of time for Liverpool to possibly get better, most of the injured players in the team are already approaching their respective return to full recovery and with that Liverpool will be pretty much more competitive, so it's going to be a very open game, and depending on outcome of the first leg I likely would have my money on Liverpool to advance to next stage.

Seems like we could be headed for an El Clasico final huh?

Yes, all things being considered we should get an EL Classico final, that should be a nice match up, wouldn't it ? because it's been a while we had an El Classico knockout fixture, let alone a final. I hope it does happen, honestly.

Sorry for you casper, honestly do. No odds below 5/1 can ever tempt me to put money on Valencia again this season, not even at home. Did wish they could rescue their season with Copa del Rey, though.

Its the luck of Real Madrid never-failing?

Its incredible, they dont play good at all, but always manage to make the way to win. Yes i know they have the players to do that but always they are saved its out of the charts.

Savic... what an idiot, no words.

If it were to be during the ancient days, I'm sure with number of these types of comeback they've had it would have been considered to involve some sort of things beyond just natural phenomenon.

It has become a trademark for them to play not distinctively brilliant football, and go one or two goals down, only to stage another dramatic comeback, if there is any team worth betting on illogically when trailing or losing a game, it's definitely Real Madrid, and they've had numerous victims over the last decade, Atletico Madrid has been their biggest and favorite victim.

Osasuna was good enough to qualify, but they had to conceive last minute to go to extra-time and crash some bets in the process, Sevilla is hit hard this season

regarding Valencia, not betting on them, but I think that we can kick-out Bilbao tonight, it is a home pitch, and cup matches are our stuff obviously

Told you to keep away from Sevilla, they are finding new ways to disappoint every week  Grin

Keepeing away from Valencia - Bilbao but if I had to play something here I would choose Bilbao to qualify. Valencia is on my blacklist for a good reason. Real derby is more interesting for me and I think there should be goals in it so taking my favourite both to score market.

Yeah! They even tried to play Bono in second half only and that's actually when they conceded. This and Valencia are just two teams never to bet on this season (although cup games and Europe they may perform differently, but then a result like this makes us confirm the avoidance!!).

Problem is in predictions it's hard to go against them.

I'm going for a direct Real win today and I know Atletico already scored 3 but I'm not confident of them away in derby. Modric did not start last 2 games, Kroos also the last one, I have a feeling in preparation for games like this. May we both win Smiley

Well odds on Barca are shit for a reason. Barca was much better whole first half and already had 11 shots while Sociedad had only one and than to make it worse Sociedad got a red card at the end of a half. This should be Barca ML easy.

I am not betting anything on Sevilla, I have been burnt by them too many times. I just know it will go opposite of my prediction. Just glad I don't have to put result in Superbru so I can ignore this one completely.
Maybe it doesn't reflect in score, but Barca had very solid game. Only problem was converting their dominance into goals. Minimal 1:0 lead is so tricky and Sociedad had 3 very dangerous moments to make score 1:1. But Ter Stegen saved it.
Yeah, it's good that we don't have to pick predictions on Ossasuna - Sevilla game, after 1st half it's 0:0 there. Tomorrow two very interesting games - Valencia - Athletic and Real - Atletico. And they can't make these games in different time slots...

regular ML come for Barca and Sevilla?

Barca should be regular ML, it is already 30 minutes goalless, maybe worth wait for HT for ML odds to go up (actually atm, despite being 0:0, odds on ML are lower than before match)
but Sevilla is a big question mark, and I would call Osasuna ML prior to Sevilla ML, but it could be fire tonight

certainly more interested in tomorrow, but not on Madrid derby, on Valencia to beat Bilbao, in a last season SF repeat, only way to save season

Not sure where to mention it but Spain just drew Italy in the Nations League semis (Cro gets to meet Netherlands). Yea, I know, glorified friendly but still something to look forward to once this season ends, not that it's going to be really that special.

In other almost unrelated news, anyone else thinks we should have some more draw drama in Copa del Rey? Or is the time for regular ML come for Barca and Sevilla?

Nothing really exciting to look forward to today unless you want to feel pain of Sevilla losing or Atletico maybe winning ugly at home Wink

Tomorrow seems more interesting and I feel either Barca or Real might drop points, while Villareal will be trying to forget how they lost to Real in Copa.
Don't know, but I'm still betting on Sevilla, despite how terrible they're looking this season. Match against another bottom table team Cadiz wasn't exception. Sevilla were better side, but they struggled a lot. Now they're out of relegation zone and with good upcoming calendar, they can get into middle of the table. Didn't watched Atletico game. It seems that they solved everything early with 3 goals what probably let them to play their typical ugly footbal for the rest of game.
Real dropping points at San Mames against Athletic wouldn't be surprise at all. Not often you can get 2.40 odds for Real win in La liga. Barca facing Getafe, on paper it looks like easy opponents, but in recent seasons Barca often struggle against them.

Well done to you, they got all they needed to win, and I guess every favorite won last night, of course the night I decide not to put any money.

3 goals from Atletico stunned us all, I went for 1-0 which I thought was quite normal but apparently only darbit in our group expected them to score 3 goals, just too bad it was 3-1 prediction from him. 7 points so far which is one of my better performance in a week, still loads of games to go and table is not changed.

That is the match to watch today for sure. Bilbao is usually quite though to beat at their home turf but Real is back in that mode when they are most dangerous. You know what I am talking about, playing bad, loosing and then turning it on to get all the points. My bet will probably be both to score on this one but I am not placing it just yet. First have to work my way trough some earlier games and tickets and then depending on success I will make the decision.

I'm losing every turn I take so also going to wait before I go to bed and place my bets. The way it is I might be better off keeping money when it comes to Barca and then just trying a bit on every Real game to lose HT and win FT.

Real Madrid its the most blessed and lucky team on earth.

The yesterday comeback was pure luck in some way, because im seeing the game and Real Madrid it was playing really bad but i dont know how Villarreal start defending like shit, and Real Madrid players pass for the middle of the defense like nothing and in ten minutes it was a 2-2.

Same old story as last season in the end. Play like schoolboys 80% of the game, play like Real for the 10% and then defend for everything in the final 10% Smiley

Great game from Barca winning comfortably in cup game (of course the opponent was not great but still with the way they played recently it was nice to see many goals plus clean sheet).

But wow even better from Real, coming back down from 2 goals!

Draw is live so now Quarterfinalists are Barca, Real, Atletico, Sociedad, Sevilla, Valencia, Athletic, Osasuna. Poor Betis!

Usual suspects mostly Smiley

Real Madrid vs Atlético Madrid
Osasuna vs Sevilla
Valencia vs Athletic Club
FC Barcelona vs Real Sociedad

"The Bosman ruling also prohibited domestic football leagues in EU member states, and also UEFA, from imposing quotas on foreign players to the extent that they discriminated against nationals of EU states. At that time, many leagues placed quotas restricting the number of non-nationals allowed on member teams. Also, UEFA had a rule that prohibited teams in its competitions, namely the Champions League, Cup Winners' Cup and UEFA Cup, from naming more than three "foreign" players in their squads for any game. After the ruling, quotas could still be imposed, but only used to restrict the number of non-EU players on each team.

According to a 2021 study, the Bosman ruling increased the competitiveness of national team football because it encouraged greater talent development.[6] However, it reduced competition in the Champions League, as non-established teams tended to sell their best players rather than compete against the best teams. "

Thank you for explaining this, I saw Trofo response to me and wanted to explain.

But you already did Smiley

Now I know it seems like it doesn't affect Asian football but it totally does, because every time UEFA makes a change, AFC also follows (it's not publicised but even when AFC does not, the local FAs always do something similar, and decisions announced like just before new season.

We used to have quotas on foreign players, and then it was great football. Then quotas gone, or increased to 50% or whatever, and then you have countries who have 90% foreign players but with dual citizenship which you can pass in 1 day the test if you pay for it, boom, you are citizen.

They say it makes national teams better, but I don't really see it. They say the football quality improves, I see it, but I also feel like local talents have not been easier to find since quotas were cut.

And I know it is not direct, but Bosman had a huge huge impact as with EU as with SA and SEA and EA countries (all under AFC). The timing of quotas is exact. If you think UEFA is tight with Infantino, AFC is in between that tight space, but in a one way traffic lol

Because you are only seeing the main part of the case, but thanks to the Bosman case, all the teams of the european union can buy UE players without limitations, because in the Bosman defense he use the argument of:

Code:

Jean-Marc Bosman's defense argued that Title III of the Treaty of Rome,2 of March 25, 1957, should be interpreted;
This treaty establishes the free movement of European workers within the Union, which would prohibit national and international sports associations or federations from establishing, in their respective regulations,
provisions that limit the access of Europeans to competitions organized within the European Union and that football clubs could demand the payment of an amount of money due to the hiring of one of their players by a new employer club after their contract has expired.

Source:Wikipedia.

So this set the precedent to make what i said in the other post.

Sorry if i cant explain better but its a law thing and its complicated in mother tongue to explain and more in foreign one

EDIT: Well in the english version of the Wikipedia its explained better in this part.

"The Bosman ruling also prohibited domestic football leagues in EU member states, and also UEFA, from imposing quotas on foreign players to the extent that they discriminated against nationals of EU states.
