Stop putting underdog bets Slam. Or follow mine =p Real and Barca haven't gone to my selections for a while, but only because they're really that good. Nothing really special to look at for now, either, though I'll have a look-see next round on odds above 10/1.

Benzema hattrick, what a guy.

and by a goal from Gonzalo Plata, could not be better
but highly unexpected

EPL has most interesting weekend, Spain really doesn't have some big matches, but there are two interesting on Sunday afternoon, and Valencia is playing on Monday at home, in a must win
Mallorca vs Osasuna opener is not that interesting, thinking about away win

I put Valladolid for 11.70 win at Sportsbet, I know I never won a big underdog bet yet but I feel like my luck with multibet should not be pushed too much, I was so much wanting to bet handicap on Barca but they did the most unexpected victory. I mean, Elche is Elche but Barca to score more than 1 goal is even more unexpected Tongue

The game starts at just after midnight at my time, if I didn't have such an important day tomorrow I would probably go to watch it.

Ansu Fragil? What a hyped guy, not get me wrong he is really good but i remember how a lot of Barca fans say, "he is the new Messi" please man.... be respectful.

I dont see so much about the round ahead, but with my poor performance here i think im gonna do the picks at last moment i need to focus in the other pools were i have some chance.
I really hate when media or fans starting to hype young players and call them new Messi or Ronaldo. Usually it doesn't end well. And I didn't liked when such thing started with Ansu. He is really fragile and injuries stopped his progress a lot. And this season he doesn't perform well even when he is healthy. Anyway, he is still young, too early to write him off and I hope that he won't end like Bojan.
Yeah, interesting Sunday games. Fight for title is over, so, now main thing is fight for CL spots.
One of the major challenges of prospective rising stars is the enormous hype that does come from the media. Just like you mentioned Bojan Krkic whose electrifying and scintillating skills while developing made the media to tag him the next Messi but didn't later make a big name in football history, we have seen so many young stars who allow the media hype get into their head and as a result flops at the end of the day. While some others do ignore the unnecessary media hypes and works hard to develop themselves and as result goes on to become football greats. Ansu Fati  still has a long career before him and he must ignore the media hypes when he finally starts playing again

Cannot blame him for the hype, he did not hype himself and I always hate fans who show that kind of disrespect also. Gavi, Pedri, also similarly suffered hype but it is not their fault Smiley

I really worry about the other youngsters too, they are playing at a rate that makes their bodies age and break faster than it should be. I hope they pass through to mid 20s without too much ill effects but the modern game is really bad at taking care of youngsters whose bodies are still developing.

Can't wait for Valladolid, I want to see them take down Real Wink

yeah, poor round ahead, probably with a lot of surprises after international break
we play on Monday, so will have all results on the plate, but win over Rayo is an imperative no matter other results

solid Sunday night football eventually, Betis will try to save their net in Madrid, while Sociedad has their chance against Villareal, that is an CL fight for them

^ I'll never forget Ansu Fati. His final goal for Barcelona during that night's group stages gave me the exact goals predicted to win my first Sportsbet prize -- a trip to Doha to see LFC. Always felt he had more to give and I hope his club's woes don't result in him losing out.

Anyway, one of the tightest round of La Liga games I've seen. Only Valladolid have odds above 10/1 and that's away. Not even Elche gets that at home. Real don't care, they haven't had many contributions to Spain national team in a while but Barca will hope their stars shake off the crap night they had!

Barca is really overperforming in defence this season. According to xG conceded thay should have conceded like 20+ goals but some great Ter Stegen saves plus some misses from their opponents resulted in incredible defensive numbers this season.

There is also a meme out there with clubs that Xavi has most victories against as coach. First few places are all Saudi Arabia teams and then Real.

I was just having supper with some colleagues after work and Ter Stegen was my pick of "most improved player" of all. He was a painful player to support for a while, but he recovered and I believe that is another of Xavi's effects.

(and on the other side sadly I feel like Ansu Fati is the least improved, but not that he became a bad player, he is just unfortunate to not really fit into the type of play we do now with him sometimes when we do not get Raphinha and Lewandowski needing great service.

I just hope we make a better showing of Champions League next season, if even we are allowed to play it.

IMO, there is zero chance for Barca to not be allowed to play Champions league, does not seem realistic at all

looking at La Liga, it is already over after Real is defeated, and difference is above 10 points, not much to play, looking at form, it is more realistic to see Atletico on position 2, than Real fighting for the title

nevertheless, my view is on lower side, and relegation fight this season, Atletico trashed us, but that was not the place to fight for points, still enough time to avoid relegation, and pretty sure it is going to happen

I agree that Real was better in 2nd half and it looked that Barca would accept draw. And that Asensio goal - without watching replay I couldn't even think that it could be offside.
International break now, so we can continue discussing inflation rates around the world there Cheesy.

It feels weird that even though Barca is on track to win our first trophy in a few years that I somehow don't feel so fantastic, probably because I'm afraid of all the things that will come at the end of the season. We never solved our financial crisis and then the investigations are now added on with the refereeing scandal.

I just hope we make a better showing of Champions League next season, if even we are allowed to play it.

Euro is up next indeed, hope for an inflation of goals Wink

Feel so relieved all of us didn't jinx Barca, but maybe Trofo jinxed Real this time back in our favor.
Well, I jinxed that Real will score from open play. Actually, Araujo scored it, really bad luck for him.

Well i see the last 20 minutes of Barca Real, and Real was way better, in fact they disallowed a goal from Real Madrid for milimeters, and Barca ending wining like Madrid in UCL.

I went with a bold 2-1 from Real Madrid, so it really hurt.

And now..... a boring national team break.

So glad we won, and apparently from the reports, we actually did deserve it Smiley The Nou faithful was made to wait 5 years to celebrate Clasico win on home turf!!

Winning La Liga in the middle of March sounds too good, but why not? Smiley. Backing Barca too. For me it's unbeleavable that after 12 games at home Barca is yet to concede goal from open play. Only their conceded goal was penalty.
You know what happens tonight after you wrote this post, don't you? Real will get at least one penalty and maybe even two, feel like Barca can't win tonight for La Liga to stay competitive until the end and to break their dominion over Real in last couple of games. In fact I am going to go and place a bet on Real penalty, just think they may be getting some soft calls today cause of the above and Barca ref scandal.

We did seem to deserve the win but also got lucky that the goal Real got was Vared away. To be very fair, we also got unlucky giving the own goal, it was the only way Real could score. First time we concede at home in long time but important to say it was OG, and we don't care Smiley

Are you sure that the inflation rate in Turkey is 55% ?  Cheesy The goverment doesn't share the correct information with public as there is an election to take place in May. The inflation rate in Turkey has become 126.91%
according to the calculations of independent researchers. Many of my friends also have gone to Europe. I hope I can also go if the government doesn't change by the election in May. Tongue

I wish independent researchers would do countries like Indonesia and Malaysia and Philippines. The governments there rarely post anything more than 2 or 3% (and in fact from 2000-2010 it was less than 2% published).

But I can count many things in my head that is 3-5x the price from 2000. Some are even almost 10x more. If what is published is true, we should only be seeing double price increase since 2000.

During Covid time alone some things even almost doubled.

I would never leave my country however, but I think most of us say that anyway because we cannot go to Europe if we wanted. Those who want, usually can afford it (as in, get a visa, by buying/investing in property, or buying a fancy degree and "getting" a job there).

Yeah, I know that I probably jinxed with this post Cheesy. But I expect that they will score from open play, not penalty.
BTW, I just realised that's last game before long awaited international break...

Barcelona are totally focused on the league now. I think they are going to win today. I'm going on unexpectedly good in the pool so far. I hope I can finish the season in top 5.

I would agree that Barcelona have nothing significant else to fight for other than the league, but I really don't believe that'd increase the club's chances of winning it, Barcelona are of course the favourite team right and everything have been going their way against all odds in the league, but I remember Barcelona being completely focused on the UCL group stages but got knocked out so very early, and the headed to Europa League but couldn't even go another stage further, while those games were top priorities as at then, I'll rather just enjoy them going gradually towards winning the league, than believe simply because they are more focused on it, it's going to be an easy one to get.

By the way, I read recently inflation went past 100% at your home place, football memes mixed with baguette memes? I had no idea what's going on but hope everything is okay. Where I live it is not so bad, if you read the news, because officially we are not even 10% inflation, but on the streets we all can see food price more than doubled and people are not feeling good about the future.

Hahaha yes man we are again notice in the world Tongue, we destroy Turkey, they cant follow us they only reach 55% of inflation an we made a very big effot to overcome the 100%  Grin

Jokes asides, yes its bad obviusly but we are really used to this, and also you can make some money if you know and are intelligent.

I think this soon its gonna end, in a bad way like before, with the Hiperinflation of 1989 and another supercomeback for Argentina in a bullmarket.

The main problem its the the going of many people to Europe, we are "exporting" a big ammount of profesionals in all the areas, because the vast mayority of us have citizenship of one european country (mostly Italy and Spain), and we dont know if they are gonna comeback someday. Now i have more than 10 friends living in Europe.

Nice OT.
